While you may not count down the days until the 2011 Oscars on Feb. 27, chances are you have plans to head to your friends Oscars bash. I’m sure you want to find the perfect get-up, especially if you’re going along with your guy. While I think there’s no need to get overly dressed up, (save the gorgeous gowns and updo’s for the a-listers!), you obviously still want to look nice.

While jeans and boots are perfectly fine, something about Taylor Swift‘s casual cool look had me lusting after her get-up. If you’re anything like me, I’m sure you’re sick of your drab winter attire — why not transition into spring like the singer? Not only is the red skirt comfortable, but it easily dresses up a basic striped tee. If you’re in a colder climate, I would throw on a scarf, pair of tights, and lace-up shoes or booties instead of the nude shoes Taylor’s sporting.

If you’re hesitant about what to wear because you’re going along with your guy, you really can’t go wrong in this get-up — if people are in dresses you’ll blend in, and if girls are wearing jeans or leggings the get-up is still totally casual.

The red carpet at the Oscars could be the equivalent of the fashion Superbowl, so be sure you’re looking good and feeling confident when you’re watching your fave stars come down the carpet!
