The most fun thing about Golden Globes weekend is easily one thing, and that is the awesome parties! And the W Magazine party at Chateau Marmont has all the chance to be the best!

While in Hollywood, all the winners will be finding the best parties to get their hands into and the first stop should be W Magazine’s Best Performances issue party, which coincides with this year’s Golden Globe Awards. As for the magazine, it features an incredible celebrity portfolio by legendary photographer Juergen Teller that captures the zeitgeist of Hollywood today.

Teller worked closely with W’s Editor at Large Lynn Hirschberg to shoot 32 of the year’s most formidable acting talents including, Bradley Cooper, Daniel Day Lewis and Emma Stone in a uniquely pure, unvarnished and unplugged way that only he and W could.

The photo above of George Clooney was in the magazine last year, so just imagine what you will see this year!

Teller, who is known for this signature style, does not allow much retouching of his images—quite an anomaly in the fashion and film industries. So, it was no small feat for Hirschberg to persuade the world’s biggest stars to go along with this plan, while keeping agents, handlers, and managers out of the picture. W’s legacy of storytelling through risk-taking, provocative and art-inspired photography is why celebrities come to W. They want to be transformed, and this portfolio does just that. It strips these celebrities down to their core and gives readers a glimpse into the real person.

Pretty awesome stuff to say the least!

Rapper Nicki Minaj is on the November cover of W magazine– and she looks a lot like an 17th century painting! The November issue is all about art — and if you’re celebrating art, who better to do it with than the crazy, off-the-wall and eccentric Nicki Minaj?

The cover almost looks as though Leonardo da Vinci painted it! Nicki, wearing an embellished Victorian-themed ball gown draped in chiffon, looks extra fierce with a eye-shaped emblem dripping down her face.

Though at first glance the cover looks a little strange, but you can’t help but appreciate the artsy esthetic. And besides, if anybody can make strange stylish, surly Nicki Minaj can!

In a new interview (and sexy photo shoot!), Kristen Stewart talks to W magazine about Bella and Edward’s wedding in Breaking Dawn — and more importantly, discusses the dress!

“The wedding dress experience was a huge deal,” Kristen explains. “I tried on one version of the dress, and it was like tweak and tweak and alter and tweak and change, and then it’s done. BFD dress. Huge deal.”

We’ve seen glimpses of her dress, and we know that it was designed by Carolina Herrera and that K-Stew thinks it was “too tight!” But we can’t wait to see it on the big screen in November!

Believe it or not, as a kid, Kristen Stewart was the last person anyone would picture becoming an actress — she was just your typical tomboy, anything but ‘cutesy,’ as she describes it. But all that changed when she was forced to sing in a school concert!

“It’s weird, because I would be the last person in my school to be in plays, but I was forced to sing a song in a school thing. I sang a dreidl song, which is funny for me,” Kristen admits in W magazine. “I’ve never celebrated Hanukkah—it wasn’t in my upbringing, but it was one of those deals where everybody has to pick a song or participate somehow in the chorus.”

“It wasn’t the normal dreidl song; I can’t really remember the words, but it was a more serious dreidl song. The dreidl was huge, it was really honored. And that’s how I met my agent, who was in the audience,” she adds. “I was eight. I was nine when I did my first movie, The Safety of Objects.”

From there, Kristen did some commercials, but admits she didn’t really fit the part of a typical ‘cute’ kid. (Let’s just say Welch’s grapefruit juice commercials weren’t her thing).

“I was definitely not the type of child one would cast in a commercial or any TV that you’d typically go out for as a young kid,” K-Stew humbly admits. “I wasn’t the type of kid who would be in stuff that kids watch. I wasn’t cutesy.”

Actually, K-Stew was sometimes mistaken to be a boy! “I have brothers, and that so-called boyish quality was something that I was deathly self-conscious about when I was younger,” she reveals. “I was, like, No, I’m a girl. Actually, I’m still embarrassed to say that.”

Well, she should be anything but embarrassed. Kristen is one of Hollywood’s biggest talents and has a long career ahead of her thanks to that tomboy quality!

“We needed to film one more sort of honeymoon scene and we went to the Virgin Islands. After that scene, my true final scene, I felt like I could shoot up into the night sky and every pore of my body would shoot light,” Kristen reveals in an intimate interview in W magazine’s September issue.“I felt lighter than I’ve ever felt in my life,” she adds.

Not surprising that Kristen felt this way when you consider that the star, now 21, started shooting the first Twilight film when she was 17.

Plus, she no doubt felt tremendous pressure filming the two part Breaking Dawn final installments in the franchise.

“The last Twilight book is filled with BFDs, things that people have been waiting for for so long,” she points out in W . “For me it was ridiculously dramatic: I get married, give birth, the baby has an incredibly accelerated growth rate we’re all very concerned about, and I say goodbye to my dad for the last time ever. It was all big — I could I could never go, Whew, I’m losing this character. ” plus she pointed out that she could never relax doing “this character. There’s never a time when you can go, “‘I’m done with the birth, awesome, I’m done with the wedding… this was long!”

Whew is right Kristen! You did have to go through a huge amount of BFDs as Bella. I can totally understand why you’d feel “light” after finally wrapping up your final day as Bella! Good job!
