On March 21, rumors surfaced that former Disney star, Joe Jonas, 23, and girlfriend, Blanda Eggenschwiler, filmed a kinky sex tape that will be released April 3. Although Joe denied the sex tape rumors, Vivid Entertainment founder/co-CEO Steve Hirsch tells Hollywoodlife.com exclusively that, if the tape exists, Vivid wants to buy it.

“According to reports, this is supposed to be a kinky and explicit tape,” Steve explains. “We haven’t seen it yet but we’d love to make an offer on it. We know we could make it into a huge best seller.”

If Joe is telling the truth about there not being a tape, he has nothing to worry about. But if the tape does exists, the singer could have quite a battle ahead of him. Ken Basin, Entertainment Lawyer & Associate Chair of the Entertainment Department of Greenberg & Glusker in L.A., explains to Hollywoodlife.com exclusively how Joe can keep the tape from being released.

“The most common way to restrict the distribution of a sex tape is copyright infringement,” Ken says. “ The problem is, his girlfriend and the cameraman are co-owners of the copyright. The rule is when you have multiple owners, any owner can grant a non-exclusive license.”

“When you’re dealing with copyright material, you can sell it and the other party owns it,” Ken explains. “Or you can grant exclusive license in which you continue to own it and the party you granted rights to is the only party that can publish it. A non-exclusive license gives someone the right to use the material and other parties can also be granted to use the material. The default rule is that joint owners cannot grant exclusive licenses without the consent of all owners.”

Unless Joe had no knowledge of the alleged tape being made, Joe’s girlfriend or the cameraman would both be able to publish the tape without Joe’s consent. If Joe was aware and the supposed tape is released, Ken believes Joe’s best option is to “buy his way out of it directly” with Blanda and the cameraman before the tape hits the internet.

Celebrity sex tapes –- the ultimate voyeuristic high. They let us watch people we know and care about  — in the most intimate of situations. Who can really look away?

Celebs having wild and enthusiastic sex has helped make “public” sex more acceptable for the rest of us — at least to watch. And the more celebrities do it, the fewer consequences they face in their own lives.

Pam Anderson started it all when she starred in one of the very first celebrity sex tapes way back in 1998, Pam and Tommy Lee Hardcore and Uncensored.  It certainly didn’t hurt her career.

More recent examples of celebrities who have done just fine after the whole world got to watch them getting it on include Kim Kardashian and her romp with Ray J in Kim K Superstar and Kendra Wilkinson in Kendra Exposed and the just released Tila Tequila Uncorked.

Pam, Kim and Kendra have moved onward and upward — and we think that Tila will too. These tapes show that celebrities are human and have sex — almost just like us!

Here’s the thrill — with these sneak peeks, we can decide: Do they do it better?  What positions do they prefer? Do they look as good naked as they do on the red carpet? Then there’s this — the candid-camera nature of these tapes almost always enables the celebrities to shrug off what at one time might have been an embarrassing revelation.

So why do we let them off the hook so easily?

Most of the time, it was never their intention to leak their tapes. But once they are out, there isn’t much they can do about it. The public gets its own celebrity fix — and even becomes a bit more sympathetic to the celebrity caught as an accidental bedroom star.

Vivid has tapped into the thirst for more celebrity sex by creating a special website called Vividceleb.com. Unlike adult movies featuring professional porn stars, celeb tapes have an amateur quality to them and the sex is the result of two  — or more — people who feel some emotion towards each other. It feeds into the same basic reason we are all addicted to celebs:  we want to be invited into their homes and to their parties to observe their most private moments!

Now how does the public end up getting to watch these intimate and very personal “memoirs?”

Usually a “third party” brings the sex tape to Vivid. We at the studio aren’t usually told how this third party acquired the tape. Steven Hirsch, the head of Vivid, receives calls from third parties every day and so do I. How do we decide who you need to see in the all-together?

“We’re careful about which celebrity sex tapes we choose to distribute,” says Steven.  “These movies have appeal across several demographics and with both men and women. So we want to choose personalities that have a substantial fan base.”

In other words, clothes on or not, it’s all about star power.

HollywoodLife.com can exclusively confirm that Vivid Entertainment, the infamous porn powerhouse, is in official talks with Amber Portwood to star in her own adult movie! Upon speaking with Amber, Vivid Co-Chairman Steven Hirsch said, “We’d very much like to work with Amber and we will try to accommodate her any way we can.” Hopefully her former fiancée, Gary Shirley, won’t be her love interest in the film.

It helps that she’s clearing $280,000 a year from MTV which includes getting all the latest looks from Wal-Mart, keeping up with her spray tanning which is set to make her the Mid-West Snooki and fuel her love of Popov vodka and wine coolers.

The troubled ‘Teen Mom’ star could afford a lot more diapers with that kind of money. Should she do it?

A source tells HollywoodLife.com that Teen Mom‘s Amber Portwood recently bragged that celebrity porn powerhouse Vivid Entertainment wants to give her $500,000 to star in an X-rated film.

According to an inside source, there have been ongoing discussions between Amber and Steven Hirsch, the co-chairman of Vivid.

Vivid is keeping mum about the rumor, issuing this statement: “We can’t comment on any discussions that we may or may not be having with Amber.”

If this is true, perhaps Amber should take the deal — not only to help with two-year-old daughter Leah, but also to pay off her ballooning legal fees. (Just don’t let Leah watch!)

“Vivid is definitely considering the situation between Taylor and Kanye for a movie,” reveals Steven Hirsch, founder and co-chairman of Vivid Entertainment. “Of course, our take would be in parody form and could heat up the relationship between the two.”

“Heat up?” Yeah, I know what that means. I get Cinemax.

The fame hungry lunatic has contacted Vivid, the same company who released Kendra Wilkinson’s tape, to sell a tape he made with estranged wife Heidi!

Having exhausted every other possible route to restore his reality fame, Spencer Pratt has finally taken the lowest road possible — releasing a sex tape of himself and ex Heidi Montag. TMZ reports, “We’re told Spencer has contacted the Rolls-Royce of porn — Vivid Entertainment — and is asking for a meeting.”

As for what the tape depicts, one pal of Spencer’s said the fleshbearded whack job told him Heidi “makes Kim Kardashian look like an amateur.”

This all comes just days after Spencer’s announcement that he would be writing a tell-all book that he guaranteed would be a New York Times bestseller.
