Little baby Jack doesn’t realize his first trip to the Oregon Zoo on April 26 could have been his last. At least, it would have been if a certain lioness had gotten her way. Dressed in a black and white stripped hoodie — and looking a lot like a zebra — the adorable tot sat clueless while Kya, a usually lazy lioness, tried her hardest to eat him through the glass wall of her cage.

Fortunately, his parents caught the whole thing on video and posted it on YouTube. His mother, who can be heard laughing in the background, wrote, “He is brave though and calls her ‘kitty kitty.’ That’s my boy.”

Since the video was posted online May 2, it has amassed nearly two million views. Talk about going viral!

In a room full of toys, this toddler learns that he has a shadow and plays with it instead! He then proceeds to follow it in circles and is surprised when it disappears and appears again.

He says hi to his shadow several times, attempts to touch it, and even learns how to say the word shadow.

After all the fascination, he finally attacks the shadow by throwing himself on the floor in excitement. So cute!

Grab the Kleenex! A father gives his son a special birthday surprise while on leave from Afghanistan.

Cole and his brother Chase received a very special visit from their military father as he made a surprise visit home from Afghanistan dressed as Captain America, in a video posted by Welcome Home Blog. “Is Cole here? Hi. Are you Cole? I heard it’s your birthday… I’m Captain America. Happy Birthday,” the father said as he secretly greeted his son, wearing his own little Captain American outfit. No need for the costume dad, all our military parents are superheroes!

When dad reveals his true identity, the brothers are left absolutely speechless.

“He’s nervous. He’s so nervous,” mom narrated behind the camera.

Finally the shock wears off and Cole jumps out of his seat to give his dad a big hug.

“Daddy!” both Cole and Chase cheer as they take hold of their dad.

Our military families sacrifice so much for us, and we never get tired of seeing their emotionally heartwarming reunions with their families when they return.
