Crashing a wedding is no easy feat — especially when you’re as recognizable as Taylor Swift. Still, Victoria Gifford Kennedy claims the 22-year-old Grammy award winner did just that!

The mother of the bride says that Taylor and Conor Kennedy crashed her daughter Kyle‘s wedding in Boston on Saturday and wouldn’t leave when she was caught. “[Taylor and Conor] texted me an hour before the wedding and asked if they could come,” Victoria told the Boston Herald. “I responded with a very clear ‘Please do not come.’ They came anyway.”

Victoria says the two were invited initially, but failed to RSVP. “I personally went up to Ms. Swift, whose entrance distracted the entire event, politely introduced myself to her and asked her as nicely as I could to leave,” she added. “It was like talking to a ghost. She seemed to look right past me.”

Taylor’s rep, Paula Erickson, denied Victoria’s claims and told the paper that the country singer was indeed welcome at the celebration. “Taylor was invited to the wedding and the bride thanked her profusely for being there,” she said.

But Taylor & The Kennedy Family Are Friends!

Taylor has been become quite close with the Kennedy clan over the last year — and even more so since she began dating Conor in July. “She’s awesome,” Rory Kennedy gushed earlier this summer. “She’s a great friend of all of ours.”
