Teen Wolf fans, rejoice! The official, full-length trailer for the show’s upcoming third season — premiering June 3 on MTV — has finally hit the web, and it’s full of jaw-dropping teases of the drama to come. And yes, that includes Scott (Tyler Posey) going totally mental, possibly having to kill everyone in his pack. I’ve seen the first two episodes of season three, and I promise you it’s going to be epic.

Because MTV knows the only thing better than one Tyler Posey is two Tyler Poseys, the network has released an extended version of the Teen Wolf season three promo — now with more Tyler Posey than ever!

We got our first official look at the third season during the 2013 MTV Movie Awards on April 14, but this new video — which made its on-air debut during the season premiere of Awkward — gives us an even better idea of what to expect when the show returns June 3.

In the minute-long video, we see Scott being held underwater by an angry, shirtless version of himself, as a wolf snarls behind them. Though much of season three’s plot remains a secret, it’s pretty clear that this next batch of episodes will find Scott struggling with his inner-wolf — and considering “good” Scott dies at the end of the clip, I think it’s safe to say Scott’s dark side will be taking over.

OK, enough speculation; here are some things we do know about season three:

1. Twin werewolves Ethan and Aiden (Max and Charlie Carver) will arrive in Beacon Hills, though we’re not yet sure where their loyalties lie.

2. Another “ruthless, sexy” werewolf named Kali (Felisha Terrell) will also be thrown into the mix.

3. Rounding out the newbies is Adelaide Kane as  ”mysterious” new character Cora.

With less than two months to go before the June 11 premiere of Teen Wolf‘s third season, the footage is starting to spill out, beginning with the first official season three promo, which debuted April 14 during the 2013 MTV Movie Awards! We finally got our first look at Scott (Tyler Posey) back in action — but it wasn’t exactly what we expected.

‘Teen Wolf’ Season 3 Promo: What We Learned

The promo, titled “This Might Hurt,” found our hero Scott drowning in a lake. (There’s always a lake on this show!) He looked very scared, and rightfully so, as he struggled to escape his imminent death. But the question is: Who was pushing him down?! Scott’s collected plenty of enemies during the past two seasons, so it really could be anyone.

The one person we weren’t expecting it to be — except Jackson (Colton Haynes), who isn’t returning for the show’s third season — was Scott, himself! That’s right, the promo found Scott being drowned by himself. So now we’re wondering: Was this a metaphor, about Scott’s inner and outer personalities clashing, or are there literally going to be two Scotts in season three?

Honestly, we wouldn’t mind two Scotts.

Teen Wolf fans were shocked, saddened, etc. when news broke that Colton Haynes wouldn’t be returning for the MTV series’ upcoming third season — and it sounds like some of his cast mates were just as stunned. “We found out when everyone else did,” Crystal Reed told The Hollywood Reporter at Jersey Shore‘s “Restore the Shore” fundraiser in NYC. “I didn’t think that it was actually gonna happen … it was shocking for me.”

Tyler Posey, the show’s leading wolf, was apparently less surprised.

“There was talk about him doing this after the first season, so we were kind of used to it,” Tyler admitted. “But then it actually happened. It definitely sucks, it’s definitely weird. It’s gonna be weird to film it without him, but we have a good group of people on our show and we’ll survive.”

As for Colton’s off-camera relationship with the Teen Wolf cast, Dylan O’Brien doesn’t think it will be damaged by his departure.

“I feel like it won’t even feel like he’s gone,” Dylan said. “He’ll probably be still hanging out with us on set and still come to our parties when the show’s on. We’re still really good friends with him and we’re still gonna hang out with him … we wish him good luck, and we’re still gonna see him always.”

The saga of the Kanima finally came to an end on the Aug. 13 season finale of Teen Wolf, but not quite how anyone predicted. By the time the dust settled, a villain’s twisted plan was revealed, a blue-eyed werewolf was born, and a fan-favorite couple called it quits. Wolves these days… so dramatic.

I guess I’ll start by congratulating Jackson (Colton Haynes) on finally getting his wish. After being brought to the brink of death by a pissed-off Derek (Tyler Hoechlin) and Peter (Ian Bohen), Jackson was revived by Lydia (Holland Roden) — but instead of reverting to his human form, he became a giant werewolf with dreamy blue eyes. It was just as executive producer Jeff Davis foretold on Twitter!

Still on the topic of Lydia, this episode was a parade of disappointments for Stiles (Dylan O’Brien) and his sham of a love life. It was bad enough that she went over to Stiles’ house just to whine about not being able to see Jackson, but to have to watch Lydia heal Jackson with her love was the icing on Stiles’ angsty teenage cake.

Before the birth of Jackson’s sexy new werewolf self, the gang squared off against Grandpappy Argent, who revealed he was dying of cancer. Not one to miss an opportunity for sneaky murder, Scott switched Gerard’s pills with mountain ash, thus treating the viewers to a grotesque scene in which Gerard basically black-vomited out all of his innards. It was as gross (and awesome) as it sounds. Of course, the question remains: Is he really dead? Where did he slither off to?

And then came the breakup: Allison (Crystal Reed) once again explained to Scott that they can’t be together, cuing a tearful goodbye and — I assume — a whole lot of angry fans. Seriously, why can’t anyone on this show make a stable relationship last?

Of course, the finale didn’t just wrap up the loose ends of season two; it also set the stage for a super-sized season three! First, Peter informed his werewolf pals Derek and Isaac (Daniel Sharman) that a new gang of Alphas are on their way to Beacon Hills. No, wait … they’re already there! Gasp! Also, Ms. Morrell (Bianca Lawson) and her DAD, the veterinarian, proved to know a lot more about werewolves than they’ve been letting on. Between the leather get-ups and the ambiguous banter, I’m going to assume we’ll see them next season as well.

Beacon Hills has never been an ideal place to live, but after the Aug. 13 season finale of Teen Wolf, I’d be surprised if anybody moves there. Allison’s (Crystal Reed) grandpa launches his final attack with the Kanima — we still don’t know if the creature will be separate from Jackson (Colton Haynes), given Lydia’s (Holland Roden) newfound ability to save him — and it looks like someone, or perhaps several someones, won’t make it out alive.

So who will bite the dust in the final hour of season two? I feel like it’s safe to rule out any of the main stars — Scott (Tyler Posey), Stiles (Dylan O’Brien), Allison, Lydia, Derek (Tyler Hoechlin) and Jackson — but that still leaves plenty of potential casualties.

Here’s a brain scratcher for you: Could Peter (Ian Bohen), who we’ve all believed to be as bad as they come, actually be one of the good guys? Just when the Kanima situation looked its bleakest on the Aug. 6 episode of Teen Wolf — I mean, Grandpappy Argent was literally sending Scott (Tyler Posey) telepathic death threats from the sidelines of a lacrosse game — Peter revealed the key to saving Jackson (Colton Haynes) from his lizard-y curse! And surprise, surprise: that key is Lydia (Holland Roden).

But will Lydia be able to tap into her man-saving abilities in time? When the episode came to its heart-pounding conclusion, Jackson was lying dead(ish) in the middle of the field, after being commanded to claw open his own stomach. So unless this is merely a Sleeping Beauty-type scenario, I’m thinking more effort will be needed.

Seriously, though, why would Peter offer up that information so easily? I suppose it’s entirely possible that Peter is merely helping the gang get rid of the Kanima so he can slip back in and assume his place as the Alpha. But as long as his plan keeps Jackson alive (and in various states of undress) for another season, I’m all for it.

This was also a big episode for Stiles (Dylan O’Brien). Not only did he finally get some field time, but he totally scored a million goals and won the whole game for Beacon Hills High — so, needless to say, gif moments ran rampant. Too bad he went missing during the Kanima-induced chaos at the end of the episode. (Methinks Grandpa Argent got a little handsy and snatched him up.)

Meanwhile, Allison (Crystal Reed) and her merry crew were busy playing a little game of their own in the forest — a game I like to call “Shoot Werewolves With Arrows,” and Allison (aka Buffy 2.0) has gotten really good at it. By the end of her romp through the woods, Erica (Gage Golightly) and Boyd (Sinqua Walls) were both down for the count, and she probably would have finished them both off if her dad didn’t literally shoot the bow out of her hands. (Guns! Bows! Don’t the Argents ever just use their words?!)

(P.S. Special shout out to Bianca Lawson. I feel like she should be on every TV show ever. She’s a very comforting presence, and she definitely helped me cope with the loss of Stephen Lunsford, that little creeper.)

Ready or not, next week is the season finale, so it’s time to get out our last thoughts and theories: Is Peter really as good as he seems? What strange power does Lydia have over Jackson? I’m still not over the loss of Matt (Stephen Lunsford) on Teen Wolf — he may have been evil, but he was also dreamy — and it doesn’t look like I’ll have time to mourn him before yet another resident of Beacon Hills bites the dust. On the Aug. 6 episode, appropriately titled “Battlefield,” Grandpa Argent gives Scott (Tyler Posey) 30 seconds to tell him where Derek (Tyler Hoechlin) is… or he’ll command Jackson (Colton Haynes) to claim another victim.

And this doesn’t sound like an idle threat. In fact, gramps even rattles off a list of potential victims: Scott’s mom, Stiles’ dad, Lydia (Holland Roden) or any of the “innocent teenagers” at the game. He even threatens to axe “that ridiculous coach” (Orny Adams)!

Though Gerard doesn’t specifically mention Stiles (Dylan O’Brien) by name, I couldn’t help but notice that Scott’s BFF is finally getting some field time in this game — and that’s not where we want him to be.
