Angus T. Jones has generated himself a lot of unwanted publicity after a video of the actor calling Two and a Half Men “filth” and urging viewers to stop tuning in surfaced online on Nov. 26. Many wondered whether he would go by way of Charlie Sheen and be written off the show. TMZ reports that Angus will be around to fulfill the remainder of his contract!

Sources close to the young actor tell the website that Angus will “finish out the season and complete his contractual obligations on the show.” However, things are less certain when it comes to a renewed contract. “Its almost certain…he will not come back after this season,” the report alleges.

TMZ claims that Angus was ready to walk after last season, but was convinced by family and his reps that it would be “stupid” to pass up a contract that could net as much as $15 million — no matter how filthy it makes one feel, apparently.

After a video of Two and a Half Men star Angus T. Jones appeared online on Monday, Nov. 26 in which the actor railed against the “filth” of his television show in a testimonial for the Forerunner Christian Church, Hollywood was abuzz with talk that he seemed ungrateful for the immense success the show has afforded him. In a new statement, Angus is attempting to clear the air.

Angus’ PR firm, Insignia PR, has released an exclusive statement to our sister site Deadline Hollywood, in which the actor expresses gratitude for all the show has offered him. The full statement follows:

“I have been the subject of much discussion, speculation and commentary over the past 24 hours. While I cannot address everything that has been said or right every misstatement or misunderstanding, there is one thing I want to make clear.

Without qualification, I am grateful to and have the highest regard and respect for all of the wonderful people on Two and Half Men with whom I have worked over the past ten years and who have become an extension of my family.

Chuck Lorre, Peter Roth and many others at Warner Bros. and CBS are responsible for what has been one of the most significant experiences in my life to date. I thank them for the opportunity they have given and continue to give me and the help and guidance I have and expect to continue to receive from them.

I also want all of the crew and cast on our show to know how much I personally care for them and appreciate their support, guidance and love over the years. I grew up around them and know that the time they spent with me was in many instances more than with their own families. I learned life lessons from so many of them and will never forget how much positive impact they have had on my life.

I apologize if my remarks reflect me showing indifference to and disrespect of my colleagues and a lack of appreciation of the extraordinary opportunity of which I have been blessed. I never intended that.”

Half-man Angus T. Jones won’t be appearing in early 2013 episodes of Two and a Half Men, according to The Hollywood Reporter. But before you go crying “conspiracy,” Angus’ absence has nothing to do with the video posted to YouTube on Nov. 26, in which he called the show “filth” and urged viewers to stop tuning in. In fact, producers reportedly have yet to reach out to the 19-year-old star about his rant.

Angus’ character — he plays Jake, the son of Jon Cryer‘s Alan — has only made sparse appearances via Skype this season since enlisting in the U.S. Army, so his absence from the new year’s first few episodes is hardly unusual. Though they’re being filmed after the video’s release, the episodes had already been written long beforehand.

Miley Cyrus was “shocked” when she saw Angus T. Jones’ video where the actor urged fans to stop watching Two and a Half Men, calling the show “filth” and bad for the brain, HollywoodLife.com is exclusively reporting.

“Miley was shocked just like everyone else who saw the video,” a source connected to the singer says. “But Miley doesn’t judge anyone and she of course wants Angus and everyone who works on the show to be happy and continue doing the show because she’s a huge fan and she likes guest appearing.”

Our source adds that Miley, who absolutely loves Two And Half Men and everyone involved on the show including Angus, had nothing short of an amazing time filming guest spots on the show a few months back.

“She had the time of her life when she worked with Angus and she even thinks he’s hot and incredibly sweet. She even had fun hanging on set and filming with Ashton [Kutcher] and Jon [Cryer].”

“I know she’s sure things will work themselves out between everyone involved. She loves Angus and adores his character on the show. She also respects his beliefs and is sure that Angus will make the best choice for his life. Everything will be fine at that show, they all get along well.”

Angus posted a YouTube video Nov. 26 in which he bashes the CBS sitcom. “If you watch Two and a Half Men,” he says in the video, “please stop watching Two and a Half Men.” “I’m on Two and a Half Men, and I don’t want to be on it,”

Charlie 2.0 continues, “Please stop watching it, and filling your head with filth.”

Angus T. Jones‘ bizzarre video rant — in which he called his hit show Two and a Half Men  ”filth” and urged fans to stop watching – is an effort by the Forerunner Chronicles Church to exploit the teen actor, according to Angus’ own mom, Carey Jones, 42.

‘”I’m concerned he’s being exploited by the church,” she told the Daily Mail.

In a video uploaded by the extremist organization The Forerunner Chronicles, the 19-year-old sitcom actor — who makes $350,000 per episode — is seen telling fans not to watch Two and a Half Men, calling it “bad news.”

“If you watch Two and a Half Men,” he says in the video, “please stop watching Two and a Half Men.”

HollywoodLife.com spoke exclusively with a source close to production, and it doesn’t sound like the show’s crew is too thrilled with Angus’ little stunt:

“If we were to offer any advice to him, instead of bashing the show that set him up for life and gives tons of people on set a good living, maybe he should realize those hard working people don’t need any extra headaches since we are all responsible for the filth that fills up his wallet,” the source told us.

After weeks of buildup, Miley Cyrus returned to sitcom television for the first time since Hannah Montana and we agree with Two and a Half Men co-star Jon Cryer who told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY weeks ago that she was fantastic!
