Christina’s family wants to make sure that ‘her time here in the world was well spent.’

Out of tragedy comes an amazing story: After Christina Taylor Green passed away during the tragic shooting in Tuscon, Ariz. on Jan. 8, the 3-year-old girl’s corneas were donated and given to two children, saving their eyesight!

“The fact that her organs were able to help people, that was an amazing thing to me,” Christina’s father, John Green, tells the New York Post. “It’s just another thing that this little girl has given the world.”

Even though losing Christina was incredibly tragic, it comforts the family to know that her death has helped other children. “We really felt a lot of emotion about that,” John says. “That was something that really made us feel gifted, still. We just want to make sure that her little time here in the world was well spent.

“This is exactly what Christina would’ve wanted, to be able to help someone else,” adds Christina’s aunt, Kim Green. “[She'll] be an angel in heaven watching over [those children].”

For those who thought Sarah Palin might issue some sort of apology for her “Target list” map that placed a number of prominent congressional candidates, among them recent shooting victim Gabrielle Giffords, in crosshairs — think again! The former vice presidential candidate and reality star has just released an eight minute video attacking her critics, saying: “There are those who claim political rhetoric is to blame for the despicable act of this deranged, apparently apolitical criminal. And they claim political debate has somehow gotten more heated just recently. But when was it less heated? Back in those “calm days” when political figures literally settled their differences with dueling pistols?”

As for the media who she, surprise surprise, is blaming for the negative coverage, Sarah says: “Journalists and pundits should not manufacture a blood libel that serves only to incite the very hatred and violence they purport to condemn. That is reprehensible.”
