Adrianna (Jessica Lowndes) proposed having one last day of “crazy Silver fun” on the Oct. 22 episode of 90210, which used to mean throwing wine bottles at your teacher and lighting your boyfriend’s front lawn on fire. Fortunately, Silver (Jessica Stroup) has grown quite a bit since season one, so she spent the day conquering her fear of acrobatics and such.

She also decided that the last step, before getting turkey basted, was a naked photo shoot with which she could immortalize her pre-baby, pre-surgery body. I’m all for female empowerment, but has Silver learned nothing from history? She’s already been involved in one naked picture scandal — courtesy of Adrianna, less than two full seasons ago — and taking new nudes is bound to get her into another one.

Dixon stands up:

Who would have thought that Riley (Riley Smith), of all people, would be the one to wheel his way into Dixon’s heart? By pushing Dixon (Tristan Wilds) to his emotional breaking point, Riley forced him to realize he could walk if he really wanted to. It was a miracle I tell you!

And that scene at the end, when Liam (Matt Lanter) brought Dixon out to “surf,” was just perfect. There were wetsuits, there was hugging, it was beautiful. A little slow motion wouldn’t have been so bad, but it was still an incredibly bromantic scene.

I’d also like to give special credit to Dixon’s new therapy buddy, played by the super underrated Jessica Parker Kennedy. She was given more material in her two scenes on 90210 than in a whole season on The Secret Circle, and she absolutely nailed the part.

Liam ‘fesses up:

Dixon’s inspirational recovery must have really tugged at Liam’s heartstrings, because he practically headed straight to the police station to blab about knocking Vanessa (Arielle Kebbel) off the balcony. But then, another miracle: The detective said Vanessa wasn’t even this chick’s real name, that she’s had multiple aliases over the past few years, and that they’ll probably never see her again.

And that’s how Liam literally got away with “murder.” *

Still, a piece of me feels like Liam is going to come clean to Annie (Shenae Grimes) about “killing” * Vanessa, just like she came clean to him about killing — not in quotes, because she actually committed manslaughter — Jasper’s homeless uncle.

* For the record, I don’t actually think Vanessa is dead, but I’m using words like “murder” for dramatic effect.

Naomi screws up:

Desperate for Alec to validate her existence as a human, Naomi (AnnaLynne McCord) literally kidnapped Max’s “partner” and forced him to hang out with her. But while she was winning him over with champagne and carnival games, that weasel-of-a-man was plotting his own outing.

He kissed her — on the mouth — and had someone take pictures of it from a distance. Unaware of the photos, Naomi told Alec it would be best not to tell Max was happened, thus leaving her totally defenseless.

And completely screwed.

I have a million things to say about 90210‘s fifth season premiere, so let’s start with Dixon (Tristan Wilds): Did anyone really think he was going to die? Honestly, now. We all knew he wasn’t one of those other three randos in the morgue — rest in peace, brothers — but at least his lingering fate finally gave Shenae Grimes a chance to remind us all what an A+ actress she is.

Dixon’s little hiccup also gave Mama Wilson (Lori Loughlin) a reason to fly home to her baby birds — and apparently she flew there in a private jet, which Jen hooked up for her. It was delightful to see Deb again, but there was one awkward moment where she gave an impromptu speech about how parents eventually need to let their kids go. Sorry, all I heard was: “I moved to France with your hot teacher and told no one.”

NAOMI & MAX:

I’m legitimately not sure how I’m supposed to feel about Naomi (AnnaLynne McCord) and Max’s (Josh Zuckerman) relationship. I never fully got them as a pair, so when Max told her there was “some kind of irresistible force” drawing them together, I just wanted to take him aside and explain to him how wrong he was.

But because I haven’t mastered the art of communicating with fictional characters through my TV screen, Max proposed, Naomi accepted, and they both lived happily ever after. Well, except for the part where they got lost in the wilderness, forced into a high-speed police chase, then arrested. Fortunately they were put in “TV jail,” so their judge not only let them both go, but also officiated their wedding.

Of course, Naomi and Max still have one obstacle to overcome: Max’s shady-ass roommate-turned-business partner told Naomi straight-up that he won’t let her ruin Max’s life — again.

LIAM & ANNIE:

One of my favorite parts about the premiere was also the most subtle: Annie and Liam’s (Matt Lanter) unspoken desire to hit the sheets. Seriously, did anyone catch the “we should still be together” moment between them at the beginning of the episode?

Liam: “I guess we both know how to pick ‘em, huh?”
Annie: “We used to.”

Come on, now! Plus, Liam totally put his arm around Annie at the morgue. It wasn’t exactly a candlelit dinner, but it was somehow still more romantic than Naomi and Max’s wedding.

Vanessa (Arielle Kebbel) is also, unfortunately, still around — but I have a feeling the insurance money Liam will get for his burnt-down bar will get him out of his $200,000 contract with her. (Bye, bitch!)

SILVER & TEDDY:

Despite what the misleading promos wanted us to believe, Silver (Jessica Stroup) and Teddy (Trevor Donovan) did not share in the joy of sexy times this week — but that doesn’t mean we won’t still be getting the genetically flawless baby we’ve been promised! After much internal struggle, Teddy agreed to Silver’s request: “I’m not expecting much. Just sperm and a card at Christmas.”

Apparently chilling with those corpses at the morgue helped Teddy to realize that “life is short.” So, basically, his justification for making a baby with Silver is “YOLO.” Nice.

How is it possible that the most meant-to-be couple on the show right now is a soon-to-be-pregnant girl and her gay best friend?

ADRIANNA & SO MANY GUYS:

Remember when Adrianna (Jessica Lowndes) gave herself the nickname “No Drama” Adrianna? Apparently now it’s “No Standards” Adrianna, because she literally hopped in bed with the first pirate-bearded dude that bought her a drink in Vegas. Fortunately for her, the rando (Wes Brown) turned out to be handsome and charming and perfect. He’s also a creeper, but she doesn’t know that — yet.

Side note: In what world would Adrianna follow Carly Rae Jepsen on a Las Vegas stage? Isn’t she still known in the industry as “that crazy bitch who stole songs from her dead partner?” At this point, I’m just shocked she isn’t performing at Six Flags, to be honest.

It should also be noted that this was probably the last time we’ll be seeing Austin (Justin Deeley). Wherever he disappears to, I hope he and Ethan and Jasper have a wonderful time bro-ing out together.

ADDITIONAL OBSERVATIONS:

1. This may be inappropriate time to point out, but when the whole gang was gathered around Dixon’s hospital bed, all I could think was: “Wow, Silver has slept with every guy in this room.”

2. That coroner should be fired immediately. Why would he let Teddy look at three different corpses before conveniently remember a fourth, surviving, passenger?

I now leave you with this glorious still of Liam’s hair blowing in the wind, for no apparent reason — and yet, for every reason.

The whole gang is reunited on the Oct. 8 season premiere of 90210, but the circumstances could definitely be better. A brand-new batch of pics from the episode, ominously titled “Til Death Do Us Part,” show all Dixon’s (Tristan Wilds) friends — minus Naomi’s (AnnaLynne McCord) new husband Max — surrounding him in his hospital room, following his head-on collision with a tractor trailer on last season’s finale.

So what else do these new pics reveal?

We now have our first official look at Mama Wilson (Lori Loughlin), who joins Annie (Shenae Grimes) at the hospital — and I’ll just assume Papa Wilson (Rob Estes) sent flowers, or whatever.

We’re also given our last look at Austin (Justin Deeley), who’s sadly ending his run on the show this season, as well as Taylor (Wes Brown), the guy who sleeping with Adrianna (Jessica Lowndes).

90210‘s fourth season finale left us with a parade of unanswered questions, and The CW’s official description for the show’s Oct. 15 episode, “The Sea Change,” pretty much answers them all — including whether or not Dixon (Tristan Wilds) survived his head-on collision with a tractor trailer.

Ready for some eyebrow-raising spoilers? Let’s do this:

1. Honeymoon blues: It sounds like Naomi (AnnaLynne McCord) and Max (Josh Zuckerman) definitely say “I do” on the premiere — but it’s not exactly a happily-ever-after ending for the couple. On the Oct. 15 episode, Max learns that “his whirlwind wedding has caused a public relations problem and lowered [his] tech company’s stock price.”

2. Adrianna’s stage-5 clinger: Adrianna’s (Jessica Lowndes) one-night stand Taylor (Wes Brown) might be extending his stay in her bed. They apparently spend lots of unexpected time together when Taylor goes into business with Liam (Matt Lanter) and Navid (Michael Steger) to re-launch Liam’s bar.

3. Annie’s new man: We already know Annie (Shenae Grimes) shacks up with a wheelchair-bound fella (Riley Smith) this season, but how she meets him is pretty spoiler-y. You ready? Annie’s new man is a “fellow patient” at Dixon’s rehab facility. So, yeah, Dixon lives.

4. Death of “Siam”? Silver (Jessica Stroup) invites Liam to be her date to Naomi’s wedding reception, but she gets “a surprising answer,” according to the official description. Of course, Liam’s bizarre denial might have something to do with Vanessa (Arielle Kebbel) blackmailing him into her being her boyfriend.

5. “A shocking accident”: Just when you thought it was safe for the 90210 kids to get back on the road, a “shocking accident” apparently cuts Naomi’s wedding reception short. (Any guesses?)

3. Liam (Matt Lanter) decides to put his bar up for sale to raise the $200,000 he needs to buy Vanessa (Arielle Kebbel) out of their contract. On the plus side, Navid (Michael Steger) offers Liam a chance to become his business partner.

4. Teddy (Trevor Donovan) is “overwhelmed” by the idea of fathering Silver’s (Jessica Stroup) baby.

5. As for Dixon, his status is described as “unconscious.”

The fifth season premiere of 90210 is going to be a big one for the Wilson family — and not just because we’ll finally learn how Dixon (Tristan Wilds) is faring after his seemingly fatal car accident. The Oct. 8 episode also features the return of Lori Loughlin as Mama Wilson, and Shenae Grimes told HollywoodLife.com she couldn’t be more excited to have (almost) the whole Wilson clan back together.

We caught up with Shenae at the Tracy Reese Spring 2013 show Sept. 9 during New York Fashion Week, and she was quick to sing her on-screen mom’s praises.

“[Having her back was] so amazing, I can’t even tell you,” she said. “I’m Lori Loughlin’s biggest fan. She’s such a graceful woman. She’s the epitome of professionalism, and she’s always such an amazing person to be around. So I was so, so happy to have her back. I’ve missed her!”

And it sounds like Deb will be much happier with her daughter’s behavior this season, as Shenae promises a total 180 for Annie — at least as far as her love life is concerned.

“[It will be] very active, as always, but not nearly as crazy as last year; thank God!” Shenae told us. “It’s cute, cute stuff all around; I’m really excited about it.”

The “cute stuff” Shenae was referring to, of course, was Annie’s relationship with Riley Smith‘s wheelchair-bound character.

How does one survive being hit head-on by a tractor trailer? I don’t have the answer, but apparently Dixon Wilson does, because Tristan Wilds was spotted filming a season-five episode of 90210 this week — and he looked just fine. More than fine, actually; He was surfing with Liam (Matt Lanter), so I’m going to assume he has full use of his motor skills.

HollywoodLife.com‘s sister site TVLine reported that Mama Wilson (Lori Loughlin) will return for the fifth season premiere — presumably taking time off from hosting Wake Up, San Francisco — but fortunately for her, it doesn’t look like she’ll be coming home to mourn her son.

To be perfectly honest, I don’t know anyone who honestly believed Dixon was going to die. Even Jessica Stroup alluded to his survival when I interviewed her last month.

Jessica Stroup is a busy girl these days. Along with promoting her upcoming movie Ted — she hints that her character has an underlying crush on the titular bear — she’s also embarking on a new partnership with AXE Hair. But her hectic schedule pales in comparison to the whirlwind life of her 90210 persona Silver, and Jessica was happy to give HollywoodLife.com the scoop on what’s to come in season five.

Which guy will she choose? How will getting pregnant change her life? And which former 90210-er does she want back? Read on, my friends.

What was your reaction when you found out Teddy was coming back to knock up Silver?

I didn’t even know for a long time. They didn’t tell us. I guess the producers and the showrunners don’t trust us to keep stories out of the press. They wouldn’t tell me who it was going to be, but when they did, I was thrilled. [Trevor Donovan is] one of the coolest guys I’ve gotten to work with, so the fact that he’s coming back next year is really exciting. I’m happy about that.

And can you tell me about those on-set pictures of you with the fake baby belly that leaked online? Were you aware that happened?

[Laughs.] Yeah, but I wasn’t wearing a fake baby belly! Let me tell you, I was wearing a skirt as a dress and it pooched out in the stomach. These freakin’ pictures, everybody was like, ‘[Silver's] pregnant!’ But no, it was just a bad skirt. And the wind.

So, you weren’t trying to throw people off?

Nope. Just a really bad wind day.

Baby aside, Silver gets a lot of flack from viewers for sort of “making the rounds” in the group. Is it unfair to judge her for that?

Silver has taken the rounds. I think when you’ve got a group of friends — and this happens in high schools and in groups of friends everywhere — it becomes a little incestuous, because you all love each other so much. So I don’t know if I judge her. You love who you love, you fall for who you fall for, and you enjoy life as much as you can. I think that’s exactly what Silver is doing. And that’s what she she’s definitely going to be doing next year. She’ll be acting out and trying to live life.

How much have they told you about season five?

I don’t know any specifics at all, really. I know Teddy is going to be back and we’re going to pick up right where we left off. It’s going to be a direct cut, kind of thing.

So the Navid/Liam debate will continue, or is she done with those boys?

She’s never done with those boys. I’ve got a preference as myself, but I’m not going to tell you. I think they’re going to try to work out the Silver/Navid situation, because I think the fans really like Silver with Navid.

Plus, they really want Liam with Annie. ‘Lannie’ fans are determined.

They are! I had no idea. I think Silver should get back with Dixon. That’s my choice.

Ah, so he lives?

…I didn’t say that.

[NOTE: We've heard from a very reliable source — not Jessica — that Dixon does, in fact, survive his car crash.]

Well, regardless of whether or not he lives, how do you think his accident will affect Silver?

I think right now is when she sees life is short. She lost her mother, she lost her aunt, and now that her friend is possibly going to die, all of her energy is focused on living as much as she can right now. … It’s going to bring her closer to everybody.

90210 has lost quite a few characters over the years — sometimes suddenly. Who would you love to have back on the show?

I would love to see Ethan again. I would love to see Dustin Milligan from the first season, who’s a great friend still. That was the most shocking, the most abrupt ending. His character was so important to us that we all, as a cast, tried to convince the writers to figure out a way to bring him back. That would be my choice.

Lastly, since you are partnered with AXE Hair, which of your male cast mates has the best hair?

I’m going to have to say Michael Steger. He’s had long hair, he’s cut it short. He just has a big, thick head of hair and it looks good on that face. … Matt Lanter‘s got a pretty face, but his hair could be better.
