Jessica gives HollywoodLife.com the scoop on all things season five — including who SHE thinks Silver should be with!
Jessica Stroup is a busy girl these days. Along with promoting her upcoming movie Ted — she hints that her character has an underlying crush on the titular bear — she’s also embarking on a new partnership with AXE Hair. But her hectic schedule pales in comparison to the whirlwind life of her 90210 persona Silver, and Jessica was happy to give HollywoodLife.com the scoop on what’s to come in season five.
Watch a clip from tonight’s all-new episode of ‘90210!’
Yes, you read that headline correctly. Teddy (Trevor Donovan) is indeed walking down the aisle on the Nov. 8 episode of 90210 — but somehow, that isn’t the craziest part of the episode. With special appearances by Billy Ray Cyrus as Austin’s (Justin Deeley) dad, and Jersey Shore‘s Vinny Guadagnino as a poker-crazed celebrity, this is one trip to Vegas that’s already giving me a hangover.
Two major couples are on the rocks! Do you think they’ll be able to work things out?
The Oct. 11 episode of 90210 served as an hour-long reminder of why I don’t get political: Everybody ends up getting hurt. Or they become prostitutes. Regardless, the gang had a rough go of things this week — and it might be too late for two fan-favorite couples to pick up the pieces.
‘90210’ returned Sept. 12 with a bang — well, more like a bong. Let’s dissect the big premiere, shall we?
Remember all those really interesting, juicy plot twists that came about at the end of 90210‘s third season — like Naomi (AnnaLynne McCord) being pregnant and Annie (Shenae Grimes) inheriting a butt-load of money? I hope you weren’t as into them as I was, because the fourth season premiere pretty much wiped the whole slate clean.
New season, same drama! Are you excited for ‘90210’ to return in a few weeks?
The just-released photos from the upcoming fourth season of 90210 bring to mind the words of a pink-headed Frenchie in Grease: “The gang’s all back together!” Naomi (AnnaLynne McCord), Annie (Shenae Grimes), Teddy (Trevor Donovan) and the rest of the crew may have left the hallowed halls of West Bev, but as you might expect, the same ol’ drama isn’t far behind.
Matt tells us Trevor did a ‘beautiful job’ playing Teddy during the past two seasons. Will you be sad to see him go?
Trevor Donovan will be greatly missed when 90210 returns for a fourth — and Teddy-less — season this fall, and Trevor’s cast members are starting to weigh in on the show’s loss. “It’s a shame; [Trevor] did a beautiful job in his role,” Matt Lanter told HollywoodLife.com on June 11 at the Chrysalis Butterfly Ball in Los Angeles. “I don’t know the situation, but I think he’ll be back for a few more episodes.”
Is this not the saddest news ever? Let’s take a look back at Trevor’s tragically short-lived stint on ‘90210.’
90210‘s Teddy Montgomery may have had the most absurd identity crisis ever — he went from star athlete to angry alcoholic to gay prom king in less than a season — but the news that he won’t be returning full-time next season has me bummed, nonetheless. TVLine is reporting that Trevor Donovan will likely appear in five episodes of the show’s fourth season as a guest star, before disappearing into the dimension of forgotten characters. I’m certain Ethan (Dustin Milligan) will welcome him with open arms.
The long-ignored couple will finally get some attention on tonight’s ‘90210,’ and Trevor & Freddie tell us exactly fans can expect!
Teddy (Trevor Donovan) and Marco’s (Freddie Smith) relationship may have started off rocky on 90210, but the couple’s future is definitely looking bright. HollywoodLife.com recently chatted with both halves of West Bev’s newest pair, who promise their relationship will soon develop a “solid foundation.” And yes, it sounds like we’ve got an epic first kiss coming our way soon!
“We did our first kissing scene, and that’s coming up,” Freddie reveals.
But even this hard-nosed journalist couldn’t solve the mystery of why Joe Jonas agreed to literally play himself.
Erin Silver (Jessica Stroup) might just be television’s 90210‘s most intrepid reporter. It’s even more impressive when you consider that she’s only a senior in high school, and still under 18. (Hands off, Mr. Cannon!) On the Nov. 8 episode, Silver channeled her inner-Katie Couric once again to help Navid (Michael Stegers) expose his dad for using underage girls in his pornos. She also delivered the best, totally earnest line of the night: “I’m super excited to get into porn.” Once the secret was out, Navid made the mistake of blabbing to the new guidance counselor (aka Jennie Garth‘s cross-eyed, not-hot replacement), who took the news straight to the principal.
The hunky star of 90210 says people tell him he looks like Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s daughter!
The resemblance is uncanny! 90210 heartthrob Trevor Donovan says that people come up to him to tell him that he looks like Shiloh Jolie-Pitt, the 4-year-old blond-haired, blue-eyed daughter of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt! “I was recently told that I look like an older version of Shiloh,” Trevor tells Access Hollywood. “If you see a baby picture of me with white, white, white hair – like a stack of straw – it looks exactly like Shiloh!” the 32-year-old actor explains. We couldn’t agree more!
Plus, Matt spills on how HE would feel playing West Bev’s newest gay character.
When the creative minds behind The CW’s 90210 concocted Teddy’s (Trevor Donovan) coming out storyline this past summer, they had no idea just how relevant it would be come fall. With the current buzz surrounding homophobia, bullying and teen suicide, Teddy and Ian’s (Kyle Riabko) secret — and often violent — relationship is hitting eerily close to home for many viewers. “There are obviously a lot of things that are fun and fake on the show, but there are some things that are closer to real life, and this is one of them,” 90210 star Matt Lanter tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively at his Handprint Ceremony at Planet Hollywood Times Square in New York City on Oct. 7.

Teddy calls another student the F-word and then attacks him in the hallway. I feel like I’m watching the news.
It took 90210 three seasons, but it’s finally beginning to achieve the relevance of the original Beverly Hills, 90210 — still relying on the gimmicks (car crashes, pill problems, etc.) but also having something to say about the world around it. The Oct. 4 episode launched us head-first into Teddy’s (Trevor Donovan) coming out storyline — just like Jessica Lowndes foretold in our exclusive interview — and it’s actually kind of intense. My one question, though: Considering all the possible dramatic ways Teddy and Ian’s story could have played out, did it have to involve them fighting over the choreography of an all-male group striptease?

How would YOU feel if a former fling told you he was gay? For 90210‘s Adrianna, it’ll strengthen her relationship with Teddy!
The halls of West Beverly Hills High are rife with scandal, and this time all eyes are on Teddy Montgomery (Trevor Donovan), the superstar athlete/ladykiller… who’s finally discovering he isn’t into ladies at all! While we’re not sure how ex-girlfriend Silver (Jessica Stroup) is going to react to Teddy, Jessica Lowndes tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively that Adrianna will be behind him 100 percent. “Adrianna is going to be very understanding,” Jessica tells us. “She went through it last year and her biggest fear was people not accepting her. She’d be the last person to judge.”
Although Michael was one of three hunks considered to play a gay character, the job went to Trevor Donovan instead. But here’s why Michael would have relished playing the part!
Trevor Donovan may have gotten the tough job of playing a closeted gay character on 90210 this season, but – shockingly – his fellow cast member Michael Steger actually WANTED to be the guy who went gay on the hit CW show!
What was YOUR favorite ridiculous scandal from the 90210 season three premiere? Vote here!
School’s back in session at West Bev — and the kiddies are more messed up and hopeless than ever! The Sept. 13 season premiere of 90210 proved one thing: This show is heading in the direction of pure ridiculousness and has no intention of turning back — and that’s why I loved it. Here are my 6 favorite scandals from the third season premiere…
