Based on a true story, ‘Lawless’ is an amazing gangster tale about the infamous Bondurant Brothers who ran their own business of moonshine and tempt to delve into a life of crime, corruption, loyalty and love. Its a brutal tale of a family trying their best to get through the days of prohibition. And if all things go as they should, the filmmakers should hear the infamous words, “And the Oscar goes too…”

With a monster cast that includes Shia LaBeouf, Tom Hardy and Jessica Chastain to name a few, ‘Lawless’ provides a riveting take on life where Tom Hardy‘s indestructible character and family leader Forrest Bondurant makes things very clear to all the families enemies that, “We control the fear, you understand? Without the fear, we are all good as dead.” That comment pretty much puts everyone on notice how life will be lived in the mountains of Franklin County, Virginia.

Now I understand without providing many spoilers that Shia LaBeouf gets a bad rap from time to time but it is his performance that really carries the entire film. However you cut it, he is a great actor that proves his worth playing Jack Bondurant, the younger brother who has yet to prove himself to his brothers.

Shia has even mentioned his thoughts on the film saying, “The film is also about a family going through combustion They’re dealing with many problems all at once; meanwhile, the power balance is shifting from Forrest and Howard to Jack.”

And that power struggle is addressed splendidly by acclaimed director John Hillcoat who is known from his work on ‘The Road’ delivers a very unique tale of the American outlaw lifestyle. Simply put, see the film as its an amazing tale and rendition of a life we will never see again. Its a blast into a history that many once lived, and it makes you appreciate what you have now.

So when it comes to August and the movies that are often released, a good majority of the films that come out are not worth the price of admission. Thankfully ‘Lawless’ is making that common happening take a turn for the better. Get your tickets now and see ‘Lawless’ on August 29. You will not be disappointed!

The cast of The Dark Knight Rises reportedly won’t be walking the red carpet at the July 20th Paris premiere after the devastating Colorado shooting.

“They have suspended all their interviews in the wake of the killing,” a spokesperson for the film told the French newspaper, Le Monde. There are also photos of the premiere set being disseminated.

A gunman broke into a cinema in Aurora, Colorado, after midnight on July 20 leaving reportedly 12 people dead, and at least 38 wounded during a showing of the new Batman movie The Dark Knight Rises.

The gunman, a 24-year-old 6ft. man, dressed in all black, donned a gas mask and a bullet proof vest before opening fire and setting off smoke bombs in the theater during a scene where Anne Hathaway was involved in a shootout.

The suspect has been identified as James Holmes.

Nobody has commented on whether or not the premiere will be rescheduled.

Good news, superhero fans! The last trailer for the third — and final — Batman flick, The Dark Knight Rises, will debut before The Avengers – but you can check it out here now!

In the newest Christopher Nolan-directed film about the Caped Crusader, Batman (Christian Bale) faces off against the villainous Bane (Tom Hardy) and meets up with Catwoman (Anne Hathaway).

The trailer shows Anne in costume (and riding a motorcycle) and Gotham City facing all manner of disasters and dangers. “I’m adaptable,” she says seductively. “My mother warned me about getting into cars with strange men.”

The Avengers hits theaters on May 4 and The Dark Knight Rises on July 20.

We finally get a video preview of the much-anticipated Batman movie and Tom Hardy makes an appearance as Bane! Are you excited for this to come out?

Last week the first poster for The Dark Knight Rises was revealed and most of you voted you liked it. Now, a teaser trailer that is a little over a minute has been released, featuring shots of Gotham and a hospitalized Commissioner Gordon (Gary Oldman) saying, “The Batman has to come back. Batman (Christian Bale) replies, “What if he doesn’t exist anymore?”

Also in the trailer is Tom Hardy, all dressed up as Bane. Bane is a villain in the latest installment of the Bale Batman movies. Tom plays an escaped prisoner who gains abnormal strength after being pumped full of drugs.

Anne Hathaway is Catwoman in the film, although we have yet to see her featured. We can’t wait to see her in full costume!

The teaser trailer hit theaters this weekend, in the previews for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2. Do you like it or wish there was more?

In a recent interview Rob said he would love to play a superhero — and we think he’d be perfect for ‘Dark Knight Rises!’

Robert Pattinson may be wrapping up his role as Edward Cullen in the hugely successful Twilight saga, but he is more than willing to get involved in another franchise — as a superhero! Rob told MTV News he would love to play a superhero in a recent interview, and even had one in mind, and we think he would make the perfect Robin in The Dark Knight Rises!

The Dark Knight Rises is still assembling an all-star cast, including Anne Hathaway, Tom Hardy, Juno Temple, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and Batman himself Christian Bale, and Rob seems like a perfect fit for this group. No one has been cast as Robin, and he may not even be in the script, but Rob could always appear at the end of the film in a cameo and have a larger role in the next film!

What’s more, Rob has the perfect look to play Robin!

‘Inception’ star Tom Hardy also set to play Batman foe Bane.

Anne Hathaway has officially been cast as Selina Kyle, better known as Catwoman, the likely enemy and lover of Christian Bale‘s Batman in The Dark Knight Rises. The film is set to be released in July 2012.

Warner Brothers issued a statement on Jan. 19 confirming the decision. Series director Christopher Nolan says, “I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Anne Hathaway, who will be a fantastic addition to our ensemble as we complete our story.”

This will be the third film in the series, and the first following the massive success of 2008′s The Dark Knight.

Also confirmed to star alongside Christian and Anne is Tom Hardy, who worked on Christopher’s last film Inception and will be portraying Bane, one of Batman’s most cunning foes. Christopher is equally excited to re-team with the actor, saying, “I am delighted to be working with Tom again and excited to watch him bring to life our new interpretation of one of Batman’s most formidable enemies.”

We’re dying to see how Anne fills the shoes of such an iconic villain!
