Joe Simpson and his wife Tina, who coached their daughter Jessica Simpson to be a global superstar, have filed for divorce.

It was a shared decision, a rep tells HollywoodLife.com.

“It is an amicable split and there is no third party involved,” the rep said. “Any other related allegations are completely false. The family appreciates your respect for their privacy at this time.”

The singer-turned-designer says she’ll be part of creating her own gown — but will we ever get to see her wedding dress?

Jessica Simpson says she hasn’t set a date for her wedding to former NFL player Eric Johnson — and a secret ceremony isn’t out of the question!

Eric proposed to her in November but they are in no rush to walk down the aisle, Jessica tells Women’s Wear Daily.

“We’ve both been married before. We’re enjoying our commitment to each other. We want to take our time,” she says.

You might remember that at Jessica’s lavish wedding to Nick Lachey in 2002, she wore a custom-made Vera Wang gown — but that was in her pre-designer days. Now, she says, “I will be part of designing my own wedding gown. We might elope if it gets to that point.”

“But not without telling your mom!” says mother-of-the bride Tina, co-creative director of Jessica’s fashion line.

Eloping might be a good option for the couple — Jessica has enough planning to do with her billion-dollar fashion empire. This year, she will bring in more than $250 million from shoes alone!

Her mother [Tina Simpson] was there, and it prompted her to turn around and yell, ‘Jessica!’ The tension was extreme. No one knew what to say”, a source told Us Weekly at the time.

But it doesn’t stop there. Jessica has freely admitted that she only brushes her teeth three times a week because they’re “too slippery.” Huh?

Having gross habits is one thing, but talking about them publicly is quite another. Guys like to live with the illusion that their women actually have no need to use the bathroom (regardless of how disgusting they themselves might be) — so talking about it to them is one official way to get yourself – ahem – canned.

So leave the toilet talk at home, girls. If you only shower twice a week so as not to ruin your blowout, never admit it. If you have to pop your pimples, do it — just don’t talk about it. Jessica Simpson may be getting away with talking ‘dirty’, but then again, as John Mayer once said, she IS sexual napalm — reason enough for Eric to keep her around!

BFFs — would you ever pull a stunt like Jessica did and make out with your boyfriend in front of your mom?

Jessica Simpson had a grand old time with hew new boy-toy, ex-NFL player Eric Johnson last night, July 28, in NYC. The couple was spotted at Mexican restaurant Dos Caminos in Manhattan’s Meatpacking district having dinner with Jessica’s mom Tina Simpson and guess what? The whole time Jessica, 30, was lip-locked with Eric, 30, as her mom looked on!

I “couldn’t believe how affectionate they were in front of her,” a source tells Us magazine. “He always had a hand on her back, was touching her hair and kissing her head.” And when their dinners were taken away, they “made out a few times” while Tina was sitting directly across from them!

Jessica “looked super happy,” the source adds. “And he was very attentive to her. They looked like they’ve been dating for ages.”

The entourage arrived at the restaurant around 6:30. For dinner, Jessica chowed down on the restaurant’s famous guacamole. Together, the group ordered a round of margaritas followed by a round of Tequila shots.
