Actress Tilda Swinton is the latest star to model for Karl Lagerfeld! The star has been tapped to front the Pre-Fall 2013 campaign for the Métiers d’Art Paris-Edimbourg collection. “Tilda perfectly embodies the Paris-Edimbourg collection. She is of course Scottish, but more than that she is a modern woman, a timeless icon of elegance,” Karl Lagerfeld, creative director of Chanel, said.

The Scottish actress is a perfect fit for the new campaign, considering that the collection, (which showed in Edinburgh, Scotland), consisted of a slew of knits, kilts, plaid, tweed and argyle. Karl himself captured the actress for the Pre-Fall 2013 campaign.

Tila was actually born in London and attended Cambridge University, but her family is Scottish. The star is known for her fashion-forward choices on the red carpet and she isn’t afraid to make a bold fashion statement. At 5’11, there’s no denying the fact that the 52-year-old has model-like proportions!

The news comes just days after David Bowie‘s new video for The Stars (Are Out Tonight) was released, in which Tilda plays the lead female role against the 66-year-old rockstar. It looks like she’s everywhere these days!

I saw We Need To Talk About Kevin at the New York premiere hosted by Pomellato and it’s definitely one to ring home about! The acting was phenomenal and overall it was just very well-done. It leaves you feeling bad for the enemy, so to speak, which is always fun. Here are the five reasons you should definitely should see this movie!

#1 Tilda Swinton’s best performance ever!

You could watch the talented actress in this character for hours! There was never a dull moment and she is so captivating it’s hard to blink your eyes.

#2 Ezra Miller is hot!

Despite the his evil role and murderous tendencies, he’s pretty cute to watch throughout the movie.

#3 Refreshing story line!

This isn’t a story about a high school shooting, it’s about the life of the shooter’s mom after the devastating incident. It’s so interesting to see this side of the story! Definitely refreshing and a nice change of pace from your typical story line.

#4 Leaves you feeling in awe!

Who doesn’t enjoy a good flick that leaves you pondering life when you walk out of the theater? I know I do!

Catherine the Duchess of Cambridge looks so chic every time she steps out, even if her dress has been hanging in her closet for seven years! Here at HollywoodLife.com, it came as no surprise to see that she topped the 72nd International Vanity Fair Best Dressed list of fashionable females, which also includes Carey Mulligan and Tilda Swinton. As for the men, Colin Firth, Justin Timberlake, and Armie Hammer made the cut this year — but they weren’t the only familiar faces on the list!

Lady Gaga was joined by the dynamic duo Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis on the ‘Best Dressed Originals’ list, while Michelle and Barack Obama joined Lauren Bush and David Lauren on the ‘Best Dressed Couples’ list.

The pick I was most excited about was on the ‘Best Dressed Siblings’ list, where the fashionable cousin clan, consisting of Claire, Jenna, Prisca, and Virginie Courtin-Clarins, were found. If you aren’t familiar with them, they’re the young heiresses to Clarins, granddaughters of Jacques Courtin-Clarins, who founded the Clarins skin-care company. The four girls have that effortlessly chic cool factor that every girl wants to have — I wasn’t surprised that their ability to look so cool without trying secured them a spot on the list.

The actress insists movies make mothers feel like failures by portraying labor as glamorous and ‘lovely’.

On the contrary, mom-of-two Tilda Swinton, 50, claims childbirth is a “violent, bloody business.” Is she right?

“In the movies where people have babies and particularly in television films, they are sitting in a hospital bed with flowers everywhere, beautifully made up, they have a baby in their arms and it is all very lovely,” Tilda tells the Daily Mail.

“Anyone who has been in that zone will know it’s a total fiction. It’s a truly, truly murderous business.”

“Giving birth is a violent (thing to go through). It is a bloody business having a family.”

Tilda made her outburst at the Cannes Film Festival, where she’s now promoting her new movie We Need To Talk About Kevin — about a mother’s attempt to bond with her murderous teenage son.

She’s a mom of teenage twins Xavier and Honor — so she should know.

Awards season continues full steam ahead towards the Academy Awards on Feb. 27, with many of the same nominees heading to London for the 2011 Orange British Academy Film Awards. The Feb. 13 event brought out stylish celebs including Julianne Moore in a stunning Tom Ford, Emma Watson in Valentino and the red carpet MVP of the season, 14-year-old Hailee Steinfeld in yet another gorgeous Miu Miu!

Other standouts included Jessica Alba, pretty in Versace, and the ever debatable though always stylish Tilda Swinton in a Haider Ackermann tux.

Here are the stars who definitely let us down. Helena Bonham Carter takes the title as the worst of the worst in her Vivienne Westwood get-up. As if her dress wasn’t bad enough, the wacky star took the look to a whole new level, pairing it with two different color shoes! She claimed her 5 year-old daughter made her do it.

Then did Tilda Swinton reach into the back of her closet and fish out a reject from her Narnia wardrobe – she starred as Jadis, the evil icy White Witch  . Meanwhile, both Jennifer Lopez and Jennifer Love Hewitt looked like they were headed to a wedding chapel, not an awards ceremony! Sure, J. Lo didn’t look entirely terrible but I expect the seasoned vet to know better!

Here at the HollywoodLife.com offices, Sandra Bullock and Scarlett Johansson have both found themselves on the worst dressed list — but I have to be honest with you, I actually liked both the Jenny Packham gown (on Sandra) and the Elie Saab (on Scarlett) — although I would have preferred to see them on other stars!

Then there was Julianne Moore who appeared to be  sporting a red vase on her arm. So who do you think looked totally terrible?
