The bitter child custody battle between Thomas Beatie and his allegedly abusive wife of nine years, Nancy Beatle, came to a head when Thomas was given sole custody of their three young kids.

Thomas, 38, was given sole custody of Susan, 3, Austin, 2, and Jensen, 1, on May 24, according to the Huffington Post. Nancy, 49, was given supervised parenting time.

HollywoodLife.com reported that Nancy would attack him in the middle of the night and punch him in front of their kids.

“I am very pleased that the courts see that the best interest and welfare of the children is with me,” Thomas said in a PRWeb report. “I hope that Nancy continues to seek treatment and that, in time, she will be able to effectively parent.” 

Their divorce proceedings will continue until their final trial scheduled in September.

Thomas was born a woman but legally became a man in 2002. He made headlines in 2008 when he became the first transgender man to give birth and became known as the “pregnant man”.

Thomas Beatie appeared to have a happy marriage with his wife Nancy Beatie but it appears it was nothing short of terrifying. TMZ has obtained the divorce papers in which Thomas alleges that Nancy would subject him to physical abuse.

The “pregnant man” claims that Nancy would attack him while she was drunk. The couple were married for nine years and they have three children together.

Thomas also claims that he tried to keep Nancy from driving their children to daycare while she was “intoxicated.” He says he called 911 and then she “hit me in the crotch.”

He also says that on Jan. 17 Nancy woke him up at 2am by punching him in the face for “no reason.”

Thomas Beatie gained fame in 2007 after pictures surfaced publicly of him with a baby bump and a beard. He became pregnant with not only one child, but three children! The 38-year-old father and wife Nancy Beatie, 49, revealed their split during a taping on the television show The Doctors, which airs on May 7. 

The couple have three children together Susan, 3, Jensen, 2, Austin, 1. Nancy has two other children from a previous marriage.

Thomas was born a woman, but legally changed his identity to male — he preserved his female reproductive organs!  So, Thomas decided to get pregnant because his wife was not able to have any more babies after having a hysterectomy.

The pregnant man also announced he has finally gone through all necessary female-to-male gender reassignment surgeries.

“Nancy hasn’t seen the new me yet,” Thomas said.

Thomas Beatie made history as the first man to give birth — he was born a woman and kept his reproductive organs — and now he and his wife Nancy, 49, are proud parents to three kids: Susan, 3, Jensen, 2, and Austin, 1. The 38-year-old father reveals to The Daily Mail how he and his wife explain their children’s extraordinary births. They read them Mister Seahorse, which explains how male seahorses become pregnant!

“It’s [Susans's] favorite bedtime story,” Thomas explains. “I tell her that’s what I did: I carried her in my tummy like Mr. Seahorse, and she gets it. She doesn’t think there is anything weird about it. There is a photograph of me pregnant, and she points to it all the time, saying: ‘Daddy, Daddy, I’m inside and I got bigger and bigger, and then I had to come out.”

On the surface everything seems “normal” — the kids call Thomas “Dad” and Nancy “Mom” and they live in a suburban Phoenix, Arizona home.

“Susan is a mini-me,” Thomas says. “A lot of people think Austin is a girl, because of his long hair, I guess, but that doesn’t bother us.”

The couple juggle work and family life, and say their sex life isn’t a problem. “There are physical issues there obviously, but they aren’t the things that get in the way,” Thomas laughs. “The biggest problem is that we have three small children. Our challenge is actually getting the bed to ourselves!”

Although they want to be a normal family, being in the public spotlight is hard. “We have had a rough ride,” Thomas says. “We have had death threats, crazies. I’ve been called a freak. The really nasty stuff has come online, with email, Facebook and YouTube.”

“Some of it has just been weird — such as people going to Halloween parties dressed as me, “The Pregnant Man,” Thomas continues. “Some of it has been terrifying. One man has made videos pretending he has kidnapped Susan. He has a Susan doll and he hits her over and over. It’s sick. The FBI have been involved and they monitor things for us. The world is full of crazy people and we have to have our wits about us.”

Although the couple made some money from media offers for his story, he has to go back to work. “We did make a bit of money, but we lost a lot more,” he explains. “The business went under — partly because we had to close the doors to stop all the crazies coming in.”

But despite everything, Thomas says he doesn’t regret having the kids. ‘They will know what we went through to get them, and how difficult it was, but they will also know that it was worth it.’

Transgender dad Thomas has had three kids and won’t have any more!

According to Radar Online, Thomas Beatie will appear on The Doctors Oct. 31 with his wife and three kids — Susan, Austin and Jensen — and during the interview he’ll discuss why he’s seriously considering a hysterectomy!

Thomas was born a woman, but legally became a man in 2002. The “pregnant man” gained notoriety in 2008 when he became the first transgender man to give birth. His wife Nancy, however, breastfed the children.

But now after three kids later, Thomas says he’s done giving birth. Why? According to Radar Online, he had to go off of his male hormones during each pregnancy. A hysterectomy — and no more births — would help stabilize him medically as a male!

HollyMoms, you probably know Thomas Beatie as the Pregnant Man. He gained notoriety in 2008 when he became the first transgender man to ever give birth. Now the 36-year-old wants to be a surrogate for women who can’t get pregnant on their own! “When I was first approached with the idea, I thought it was crazy. Then I thought about what it means and what not having a family means to us. I thought, ‘This is a huge deal and I’m capable of it, why not?’” he tells Life & Style.

In July, Thomas and his wife, Nancy, welcomed their third child, a son named Jenson. They also have a 2-year-old daughter, Susan as well as a son, Austin, 1. “If I can do this and help make another family fulfill their dream of having a child, then that’s what I want to do,” he says.

And while Thomas is eager to help make other couples’ baby dreams come true, he and Nancy haven’t ruled out adding another child to their family. “If we don’t find the right family for surrogacy, I think I have one more person inside of me,” he admits.

Transgender Thomas Beatie became famous in 2008 when he gave birth to a baby girl. Now he is weighing in on the controversy surrounding Shiloh Jolie-Pitt wearing boys clothing.

Thomas Beatie, formerly known as Tracy, became the first transgender man to ever give birth, in 2008. He and wife Nancy now have two children, a daughter Susan, 2, and a 15-month-old son Austin, and he’s currently pregnant with his third child. Now Thomas is speaking out about Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s tomboy daughter, Shiloh’s decision to always wear boys clothes — and the speculation on the web that she’s headed for a sex change in the future. “When you’re a child, you don’t really have a solid grasp of what male and female are,” he tells Life & Style.

Thomas, who was born female but at age 10 began to realize that he was really a boy, also points out that the pretty little tomboy is probably not a transgender man in the making, even though her dad, Brad, admits that the 4-year-old prefers to answer to the names John and Peter. “I’m sure if asked she would identify herself as a little girl,” Thomas tells the magazine.

Even if Shiloh is just a natural-born tomboy, Thomas notes that the most important thing is that Brad, 46, and Angelina, 35, don’t try to force a gender identity on her. “There was a point in my teenage years when my father pushed me toward modeling,” he laughs, adding, “I think it might have backfired!” HollyMoms, do you think Shiloh’s tomboy ways are a sign of future problems?
