Former reality star, Joey Kovar, who starred in Real World: Hollywood and Celebrity Rehab was found dead on August 17. New details of his death have emerged — and they’re not what police originally suspected!

“[Joey's] official cause of death was deemed an accident from ‘opiate intoxication,’” a representative for the Cook County Medical Examiner told TMZ.

Joey, 29, was allegedly taking the prescription painkiller Norco at the time of his death, according to sources. Norco is classed as an opiate, but it is not confirmed that the medication was the cause of his death.

This new report comes after police originally stated that Joey’s death was caused by a lethal combination of cocaine, alcohol and Viagra. However, Joey’s brother David spoke with HollywoodLife.com exclusively and said, “Don’t believe the media and the crap they’re saying. My brother was clean. Had been for quite some time. Plain and simple.”

When asked what he thought took his brother’s life, David said, “I believe it was some sort of health issue. He was doing too good. I don’t know. I can’t think straight.”

To say that Lacey Buehler‘s appearance on The Challenge: Battle of the Seasons was short-lived would be an understatement. The Real World Austin alum was eliminated on the Oct. 19 premiere, along with former housemate Wes Bergmann — and she tells HollywoodLife.com she learned a valuable lesson in case she’s invited back for a second season: “I shouldn’t be on a team with Wes!”

“No, I’m kidding,” she says. “It’s really cutthroat. You come in to have fun in the beginning, but when it comes down to it, everybody’s willing to do whatever it takes to win.”

Personally, I’d love to see Lacey get a second chance, if only because she appears to be one of the most quotable cast members yet. Who didn’t laugh out loud when Lacey speculated that Zach Nichols and Frank Sweeney may have “kissed penises?”

“That one snuck its way in there,” Lacey admits. “I have this problem where things just tend to come out of my mouth endlessly. I don’t mean harm to anybody, I just like to entertain myself. … I guess I’m good for some ridiculous soundbites.”

But regardless of whether or not penises were kissed — and there’s still plenty of time left in the season for that — Lacey says she’s “proud of Zach” for expanding his horizons.

“From what I hear, he used to be pretty uptight about the homosexual side of things, and it looks like he’s much more open now,” she explains. “I like that he went from being upset about [guys] kissing to wearing a pink speedo and rubbing it all over Frank. It’s called growing, right?”

As for the remaining members of Team Austin, ex-spouses Danny Jamieson and Melinda Stolp, Lacey suggests they both watch their backs.

“I think they’re going to be a target,” she says. “There’s only two of them. And what a success story for the rookies to send home Team Austin right away! Danny and Melinda can work together, but I think it’s twice as intimidating to be working with your ex and be shorthanded two people.”

But don’t worry about Lacey keeping busy between now and her potential second season. She’s a business woman, and she’s got big plans.

I’m opening another hair salon. I’ve had one for six years, and we’re moving locations. “We’re moving in with a spa,” she explains, “so it’s going to be 6,000 square feet of awesomeness.”

Former reality star, Joey Kovar, who starred in Real World: Hollywood and Celebrity Rehab was found dead on August 17. Autopsy results have been revealed, but there may be more to the story that was not originally noticed.

An autopsy performed on August 18 was inconclusive and the cause of death is pending toxicology results, according to a new report by TMZ.

“On August 16, just before midnight, Joey went to a woman’s house in Chicago Ridge, Illinois, told her he’d been doing cocaine and asked her to drive him to a location where he could score more coke. The woman, Stacey Achterhof, rebuffed his request, and asked him to stay at her place. Joey, who was also fueled up on alcohol, took ‘some Viagra’ and messed around with Stacey, but they did not have sex. At some point Stacey fell asleep, and when she awakened early [August 17] she found Joey bleeding from the nose and ears,” sources tell TMZ.

“Joey was discovered by a female friend early this morning who noticed blood coming out of Joey’s ears and nose. The woman called 911 and authorities rushed to the scene where he was pronounced dead,” Joey’s rep tells TMZ.

Joey looked for help with cocaine and ecstasy addictions during his time on Celebrity Rehab. Joey also entered rehab halfway through his season on The Real World for alcohol and drugs, problems he admitted to struggling with for years.

The Real World: New Orleans premiered last night, bringing with it the usual antics we’ve come to expect from eight strangers thrown together in a sweet house. We saw the roommates interact for the first time, watched as they paired off and picked bedrooms (no one wanted to live with Wisconsin-bred, hockey-lovin’ Knight) and foamed at the mouth as they got into their first fight! It looks like it’s going to be a great season. Check out my video to see what you may have missed and tell me what YOU thought of the season premiere!

I’ve seen the first episode, and it’s full of everything die-hard Real World fans love: drama, fighting and DRINKING!

Like an old friend who drops by every so often just to say “hi,” MTV’s The Real World returns tonight (June 30) for the premiere of its 24th season. And while the series has become pretty formulaic after two dozen seasons, it’s still shaping up to be a pretty wild ride. I already introduced you to the cast of eight strangers, so now let’s take a peek into the shenanigans these kids will be up to for the next few months.

Once again we get a good mix of token characters. There’s the jock (Knight), the player (Eric), the gay guy (Preston), the southern chick (Jemmye), the party girl (McKenzie), the troublemaker (Ryan), the reformed conservative (Sahar) and the good girl ready to go wild (Ashlee.) And even though the cast appears to consist of the usual suspects, you’ll definitely be surprised to see who causes the most drama in the house.

The tension begins the moment all eight roommates arrive at the house in New Orleans. The crew splits into pairs to decide who will be staying in each room — and no one wants to share a room with Knight!

I spoke with Knight last week about the incident, and he told me he tried not to let it bother him too much. “I’ve got kind of a stoner mentality,” he told me. “For me, it’s like — why sweat the small stuff? Why are we worrying about this?”

Yes, Knight just wanted everyone to be happy and get along… but he promises his good-guy image will NOT carry through for the entire season. I’m actually looking forward to seeing him get into trouble!

The tension in the first episode intensifies when the roommates (yes, you guessed it) start drinking! Ryan tries to play protector for lightweight McKenzie by cutting her off at the bar — and let’s just say things don’t end well. She’s not nearly as into him as he is into her, and as we all know, it’s NOT attractive when someone is obviously trying too hard to get with you.

But the real fireworks come with the first big fight of the season after the roommates leave the bar. Without giving too much away, you’ll probably hate Ryan as much as I do after watching the first episode.
