Don't Do A 'Lorax' Sequel Without Dr. Seuss

With the box office success of ‘The Lorax,’ a sequel is surely in the works– but if the studio does it, they are jerks!

The Lorax should leave well enough alone and not do a Lorax 2!

Yes, the adaptation of Dr. Seuss‘ beloved children’s book made a lot of money at the box office, but does that mean we need to defile its memory even more? That’s cowardice!

The original story was already stretched to accommodate a feature film — how can it be stretched even further to make another? Why bother?

So please, for our sake, don’t make a sequel, that would really be great.

Taylor Swift & Zac Efron Might Star In 'The Lorax' Sequel, Insider Says

‘Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax’ animated movie is doing so well at the box office, we’re told Universal wants to make a sequel! Would YOU see it?

Even though Dr. Seuss never wrote a second The Lorax book, Universal is toying around with creating a sequel to Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax, since it has done so well in theaters.

Thanks in large part to its A-list stars, who include Taylor Swift and Zac Efron, The Lorax has grossed a whopping $175 million dollars worldwide, making it the highest grossing film of the year so far.

“Even though they don’t have a book to base the sequel off, Universal is trying to figure out a way to make another one, since it’s been such a monster box office hit,” our source says. “And they’d love to have Taylor back.”

Fans flocked to theaters this weekend to see Zac Efron romance Taylor Swift in Dr. Seuss’ ‘The Lorax,’ helping the movie top this weekend’s box office.

The classic children’s book made its big screen debut this weekend and earned a surprising $70.7 million, making it the highest debut so far this year.

According to our sister site Deadline.com, the movie, which stars Taylor Swift, Zac Efron and Danny Devito as the Lorax, made the best opening day ever for a Dr. Seuss movie. It made $17.4 million on Friday. Early predictions show that the film could have the best opening ever for a non-sequel animated film.

Even though Zac and Taylor didn’t actually work directly with each other when working on the film and have stated they are just friends, it looks like fans love the idea of a romance between the two stars…even if it is an on-screen animated relationship.

There’s nothing we love more than hearing someone we love talking about loving another person we love. So much love!

Let me just begin by saying this: I’ve never loved Zac Efron more than I do at this very moment in time. The paragon of beauty dropped by the Today show March 1 to talk about his new movie The Lorax – and speaking of “dropping,” Matt Lauer wasted no time asking Zac about the now-super-viral video of him dropping a condom on the red carpet at the Lorax premiere Feb. 22. “Better safe than sorry?” Matt asked, to which Zac gave the most perfect answer an actor has ever given anyone.

“That’s a great message to add to many messages in the film,” he responded.

Yes, Zac Efron. Yes! Thank you for being awesome and owning up to something we all know you did. Your honesty makes you the coolest person in Hollywood. Well, your honesty and your song-and-dance skills. They’re also top notch.

The singing sensation rocked a flirty frock for the LA premiere of her new flick — and we loved it!

Taylor Swift, 22, wore a cream colored Honor dress on Feb. 19 for the orange carpet premiere of Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax at Universal Citywalk in California, where the star stuck to her signature sweet and chic style.

She paired the outfit with gold peep-toe O Jour heels and Neil Lane jewelry. Keeping the look simple and elegant, a low set twisted bun completed Taylor’s look. While she often opts for feminine frocks, she always works the red carpet like a pro — and her recent premiere was no exception!

Taylor and Zac are the leads in the animated 3-D adaptation of Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax! Perfect casting or perfect casting?

We have great news for you, HollywoodLifers! Our sister site, Deadline, is reporting our girl, Taylor Swift, has landed the lead role in the animated adaptation of Dr. Seuss‘s The Lorax. The best part? She’s playing Zac Efron‘s love interest. Yes, you read correctly…one of our dream couples is finally coming to life!

Zac will be playing the role of Ted, who’s trying to find the Lorax — a creature in the forest who gives hope — and Swifty will play Audrey, his crush. Betty White, Danny DeVito and Ed Helms are the other leads.

Sure, it’s only a 3-D animated film and the odds of Taylor and Zac working together in the studio are slim, but just humor us for a second. Wouldn’t Zac, 23, and Taylor, 21, make the most adorable couple in Hollywood?
