We were shocked when The Hills beauty Kristin Cavallari was voted off Dancing with the Stars on Oct. 4, but we’re glad to know she’s staying positive about it. “It was a lot of fun, and a great workout!” she told HollywoodLife.com shortly after her elimination.

When we asked if there was more dancing her future, she said, “It’s been nice not having to go to the gym for the past couple of weeks, so maybe!”

As for which contestants Kristin thinks will cha cha their way to the finale, that’s a no-brainer: “I think J.R. Martinez and Ricki Lake are both going to get to the finals,” she told us. “They are such great people and I’m rooting for them both! Chynna Phillips as well.”

And speaking of J.R., the All My Children star had nothing but great things to say about Kristin to reporters.

“Kristin has a lot of potential so it was a real shocker for all of us,” he admitted. “I was sad to see [Kristin and partner Mark Ballas] go home.”

And we couldn’t help but ask J.R. what he has in store for next week, especially after he got the show’s longest-ever standing ovation on the Oct. 3 episode with his touching tribute to the troops.

“I think the song we will do will put JR in a completely different light,” J.R.’s partner Karina Smirnoff told us.

Though we may not see as much of the former Lauren Conrad anymore since her exit form reality TV, she definitely knows how to still make an impression! What do you think of her wacky bun?Lauren walked the red carpet on August 10th wearing a high bun, but made it totally her own with it’s two-toned look. The bun itself was platinum blonde while her actual hair was dark brown. It definitely looks like the bun is a hairpiece attached at the top of her head for a bit of volume, but should she have tried to match it to her hair color? I have to give it to the Hills hottie for taking such a hair risk, putting some real edge into a pretty standard hairstyle.

Almost as quietly as it began, Lauren Conrad and actor Kyle Howard have ended their three year relationship, reports E! News.

“Sources close to the now ex-duo confirm that the breakup was a mutual decision and that no third parties were involved,” they report.

One of the biggest reasons Lauren, 24, quit starring on MTV’s hit reality show, The Hills, was so she could maintain her personal life — especially a relationship — without cameras around 24/7. In fact, Lauren and 33-year-old Kyle’s romance was thought to be going so swimmingly, they were rumored to be engaged earlier this year!

Although we’re glad to hear their split was drama-free, we’re bummed it didn’t work out. LC and Kyle made a cute couple!

Have you been losing sleep, wondering what Heidi Montag has been up to for the past year? Well, wonder no more! “I’ve kind of been in hiding, eating pie with my husband and puppies,” Heidi told Us Weekly at a pool party June 18 at Las Vegas’ Wet Republic. But all that’s changed recently, as the former Hills star has decided to get back in shape. “I’ve been working out from, like, 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. for two months now,” she claims.

“I was actually a lot overweight,” she continued, telling the mag she recently slimmed down from 130 to 103 lbs. “I needed to get back in shape. … I’ve been running a lot, and I’ve been doing weights.”

But it hasn’t been easy.

“My breasts, because they’re so big, really needed some time,” she told the mag. “So I’m just starting to work out again after my surgery. Sometimes I get shooting pains, but I hear that’s normal.”

‘Jerseylicious’ may not be the greatest reality show on the air — it is very, very far from it — but something about the amazing cast makes it a phenomenal escape for one hour!

The reality show conundrum still wages, almost ten years since reportedly unscripted programs took over the airwaves — is it better to have a show that is completely organic or should producers seek to encourage and recreate dramatic situations? While the latter seems to be the far less ethical approach, it is employed in perfect measure on Jerseylicious.

The third season premiere of The Future Auditionees of ‘Real Housewives of New Jersey’ is, sadly, a complete let down. Whereas the first two seasons gave us Olivia and Tracy fighting nonstop (somewhat believably), this season seems to be shifting the focus to the other ladies — and Anthony — in the salon, and fostering false relationships.

Let’s start with Gigi and Olivia. Sure, I can believe they are great friends, but I highly doubt Olivia is the friend Gigi chooses to break down to in a car parked in an alleyway. And moving from Gigi to her ex Frankie, his mother is hands down the greatest reality show character ever. Ever! Bring her in, producers!

Back to the blatantly choreographed drama at hand. In this episode, the staff attempts to go for a Guinness World Record and cut the hair of more than 200 people in eight hours. I can’t tell you how it ends, but I can tell you Briella, who has a new job, randomly walks in halfway through the party. Coincidence!

Look, it may be contrived and foolish, but it’s so nice to see a show that is actually self-aware. Will you be watching tonight, HollywoodLifers?
