I never thought I’d get to write Christine Baranski and The Vampire Diaries in the same sentence, and yet, here we are. On the March 31 episode of CBS’ The Good Wife, Christine’s character — sexy lawyer Diane Lockhart — was accused of writing Vampire Diaries fan fiction. And not just any old TVD fan fiction; I’m talking full-on Damon-Elena-pickup-truck-sex fan fiction.

Does Diane Lockhart Write ‘Vampire Diaries’ Fan Fiction?

“I’ve never even heard of the TV show Vampire Diaries,” Diane told Kalinda (Archie Panjabi) after the accusation was thrown. “And if I had, I wouldn’t feel compelled to write something like that. (Get it? Compelled?)

When Kalinda explained that Damon and Elena eventually get to have sex in the back of a vehicle, Diane said she’s “happy for them,” proving once and for all that Christine Baranski is a Delena shipper.

That being said, it turned out Diane was not the author in question. As much as I’d love to imagine her writing about Damon and Elena getting nasty, with one hand firmly clutching her pearls, Diane wasn’t the only person with access to her computer.

‘Vampire Diaries’ Also Referenced On ’30 Rock’

Believe it or not, this isn’t the first time a major network show has referenced the good people of Mystic Falls. A March 2011 episode of 30 Rock found Liz Lemon (Tina Fey) being pitched ideas to save her faltering comedy show.

“Maybe something with vampires?” she was asked. “Everything has vampires nowadays. Have you seen the Twilight movies, or Vampire Diaries?”

OK, so it wasn’t exactly fan fiction, but given this hiatus we’re trudging through — new episodes return April 18 — I’ll take all the TVD references I can get!

Actors from television and film showed up at the Screen Actors Guild Awards last night (Jan. 30) looking as beautiful as ever, especially Hollywood’s hottest moms! It’s hard to pick a favorite when they all look so good. Which celebrity mama rocked the red carpet?

The ladies of Modern Family were dressed to impress! Sofia Vergara, 38, looked stunning as usual in a vibrant blue Roberto Cavalli gown, while her co-star Julie Bowen, 40, opted for a black Catherine Malandrino jumpsuit.  Sofia, Julie and the rest of the cast walked away with a well-deserved SAG award for outstanding performance by an ensemble in a comedy series. Good thing they were all dressed to impress!

Another funny girl who stopped people in their tracks was 30 Rock‘s Tina Fey, 40. She look radiant in a red Oscar de la Renta dress and Lorraine Schwartz jewels. That’s the most dressed-up we’ve ever seen her! Winner for female actor in a drama series for her role in The Good Wife, Juliana Margulies, 44, also rocked a red-hot look in a stunning Yves Saint Laurent gown.

Movie star vixens Nicole Kidman, 43, and Amy Adams, 36, were both absolutely divine even if they were on opposite ends of the color spectrum. Nicole showed off her long and lean figure in a black Nina Ricci gown with a peek-a-boo lace backless detail. Amy was a goddess in a snow white Herve Leroux dress and Kimberly McDonald jewelry.

Fooled you! The sweet Nickelodeon star IS getting arrested – but only for her latest role!

Who would have thought that Miranda Cosgrove. of all people, would be joining the Hollywood Hot Mess club? The iCarly star is about to be arrested on a DUI charge — on the small screen, that is. PHEW!

The 17-year-old Nickelodeon star is going to be playing troubled pop star Sloan on The Good Wife, who becomes Alicia’s (Julianna Margulies) latest client after she’s arrested for drunk driving.

“We’re big iCarly fans, so we really couldn’t think of anyone better for this role than Miranda Cosgrove,” producer Robert King tells EW. “We were thrilled when she agreed to do it. It’ll be fun to see her handle both the comedy and drama in the role, and we can’t wait to see how she’ll play across from Julianna.” The episode is slated to air Nov. 16.

Thank God Miranda is only acting for her latest role! Although she has a paparazzi-packed trial on the small screen, the scenario DOES sound slightly similar to 24-year-old Lindsay Lohan‘s court appearance today — the one which landed her back in the slammer without bail for 28 days!

Julianna Marguiles doesn’t go on and on about all the things she hates about life, like some celebrities do. (Ahem, we’re talking to you Kristen Stewart and Gwyneth Paltrow.)

Instead, in the May issue of W Magazine, the star of The Good Wife gushes about how grateful she is for everything she has in her life. How nice!

She tells the mag, “I love my life. I love my baby. I have the most amazing job, with writing that any actor would love and costars who I can’t wait to see on Monday mornings. And I love coming home to my husband!” Wow … are you jealous yet, BFFs?

At 43, Julianna has already won both an Emmy for her role as Nurse Carol Hathoway on ER and a Golden Globe for her leading role as Alicia Florrida in CBS’s The Good Wife. “Maybe now I can only play ‘the mother of,’ never ‘the girlfriend of,’” she says of how age affects her roles. “But I think you have to go with a role because it’s good, not because of what it says about your age.”

“I’ll always do television — television celebrates women. It’s where the best, richest roles for women are, period,” Julianna adds. You don’t have to convince us to watch TV, Julianna!
