Jen finally catches a break in the comparison sweepstakes. Angelina’s expensive latest film, ‘The Tourist’ was a bombolino at the box office taking in $17 million versus  Jen’s inexpensively produced ‘The Bounty Hunter’  which at $21 mil looks like a big hit in comparison!

The much anticipated combo of Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp in The Tourist did not in fact make for the big box office bucks many had predicted. According to our sister site Deadline, Angie and Johnny could only eek out $17 million at the weekend office, or, to put in another way, $3.5 million less than Jen made when The Bounty Hunter opened last March!

Now while $3.5 million may not seem like such a big difference you have to take into account that Jen’s filmed opened in March, one of the slower months for box office, while Angie’s film opened during the very popular, and often lucrative, holiday season.

There’s more too. The budget for The Tourist was a pricey $100 million, not including marketing campaigns and ads, as opposed to The Bounty Hunter which was acomparatively frugal $40 million. With a total international take of just over $136 million, Jen was actually a great investment for the studio.

Angie may have got her man, but Jen could still steal Angie’s box office crown! Which actress do you like better on the big screen?

Jen was as shocked as we were by how poorly The Switch performed over the weekend says a source. Here’s her new plan to switch out of her career rut.

Jennifer Aniston has been following the same celluloid formula for years — good hair, cute guy and something that looks a lot like love. But now that her latest film, The Switch, bombed over the weekend – raking in a paltry $8.1 million - she knows it’s time to leave the world of romantic comedies behind and try something new!

“Jen thinks she’s outgrown these types of movies,” an insider tells HollywoodLife.com. “They were cute and audiences loved them years ago, but that’s not what they want to see – or, at least, not with Jen. She kind of knew this was coming, but she didn’t expect The Switch to do that badly at the box office.”

Smart cookie that she is, Jen, 41, planned ahead to get herself out of her movie rut. “She prepared herself,” our source says. “That’s why she agreed to take on the role of a nympho dentist in her new movie, Horrible Bosses [which she's shooting now]. Yes, it’s a comedy, but she has a lot of sexual scenes. She’ll definitely be seen in a whole new light.”

Not only is she sexing herself up, but Jen is also ready to tackle directing! “Jen will direct Counter-Clockwise, a drama about a psychologist who conducts an experiment on reversing the aging process by making her patients believe they are younger. And she’ll co-star and direct Goree Girls, a drama/musical — something she’s never done. That film is based on a true story from the 1940s about a group of incarcerated female country-and-western performers,” says the insider adding, “So really, there are options for her.”

We’re happy to see Jen try something new! We haven’t seen her in a worthy role since 2002, when she played a sad discount store clerk who had an depressing affair with stock boy Jake Gyllenhaal in The Good Girl. Silly romantic comedies like The Bounty Hunter, Love Happens, The Break-Up and Rumor Has It… are tired, trite and SAFE. We’re ready to see what else Jennifer can do beneath all that fabulous hair! Aren’t you?

But don’t worry – although he does seem to prefer America’s Sweetheart, it’s not as if Adam hates J.Lo! “Ask me on any day and it could change,” Adam exclaims of the 40-year-old superstar.

Most guys would kill for a chance to talk to – let alone work with – either of these two A-list ladies. Adam, you are one lucky man!

It sounds like Gerard has totally moved on… but has Jen?

Uh-oh! The City of Love is working its magic on Gerard Butler! After enjoying a romantic dinner with Jennifer Aniston on the Seine river March 27, Gerard stepped out with a new woman for a day-long date just a few days later. People is reporting that Gerard and film reporter Laurie Cholewa, 29, strolled hand-in-hand through Paris last week. Can you believe it?

The two met last week when Laurie interviewed Gerard about The Bounty Hunter for her Friday-night news show, and sources tell People that he “completely cracked” for her. Gerard and Laurie were spotted checking out some of Paris’ most notorious landmarks, including the Louvre museum. They had lunch together at the Café Marly, followed by a romantic dinner on the Left Bank.

It’s no secret countless girls would die to be Jennifer Aniston — but how many of you would settle for being her toe ring? Ok, so you might have to give up the killer bod and glowing complexion, but you would get to go around the world!

We tracked the starlets fave piece of jewelry around the globe — and Jennifer Aniston is one loyal gal! When she finds something she likes she sticks to it — from her signature ‘do, her collection of Valentino dresses, and finally, her favorite accessory, her toe ring! When I first spotted the starlet sporting the band at the NYC premiere of The Bounty Hunter I begged Jen to leave it at home, but it looks like the starlet didn’t listen! Aside from the fact that it’s terribly outdated, something about couture dresses and toe rings just doesn’t mesh well if you ask me! Jen, I’m not asking you to totally turn your back on your toe ring fetish — I just wish you wouldn’t wear it when you’re going all glam.

I asked you guys what you thought and the majority of readers (61%) thought regardless of whether she’s on the red carpet or on the streets she should totally sport the toe ring cause it’s so Jen! Even though I’ve always despised the thought of jewelry for toes, I must admit, like Jen, there is one outdated accessory I just can’t seem to part with — my thumb ring. I know, I know, it’s not cool and terribly un-trendy, but I don’t care! However, unlike Jen, I would definitely leave it at home if I was getting all glam. I wonder if like me, Jen is convinced she will either bring back the trend, or if she’s waiting for the day she can say, “I told you so!” when her favorite piece of jewelry comes back in style. Either way, she does make me feel a little bit better every time I wear my un-trendy accessory!

In yet ANOTHER interview you say “it’s just not true” that you’re dating your Bounty Hunter co-star – and I’m calling you out for fibbing!

Gerard Butler, you can deny your love for Jen Aniston all you want, but I KNOW you two are friends with benefits! Although you repeatedly kicked down rumors that you two are a couple, let’s be honest – how could ANY guy be “just friends” with Jennifer Aniston?

I mean, the girl has got it all! A banging bod, a killer pad and a successful career… what more could a guy ask for? But Gerard, 40, still won’t fess up to sexy time with his The Bounty Hunter co-star.

“People have been saying for two years that [Jen and I] are a couple, and I think it makes no sense to be denying something for two years,” said Gerard on Phoenix’s JohnJay and Rich radio show April 2. He continued, “If I was going out with Jennifer, I’d be more than happy to share with the world that I’m going out with Jennifer, but it’s just not true.”

So Gerard, what you’re telling me is that Jen’s sexy salsa dance after the Madrid premiere of The Bounty Hunter did nothing for you, and that your romantic boat ride down the Seine in Paris March 27 was strictly platonic? And by the way, don’t THINK I haven’t noticed how you’re always grabbing Jen’s butt in public!

My advice? Quit hiding your feelings for one another and come out already! OK? You’re not as good an actor as you think you are – I see right through you!

To us, Jennifer Aniston looks like she’s not only defying the aging gods, but laughing in their faces! However, the A-list actress says she’s starting to look her 41-years-of-age and might be ready to conquer her wrinkles with Botox — something we think is totally unnecessary!

“I could do it, and I mean these lines are getting deeper every day, but when I tell you what’s happened to me — these lines are just about living,” The Bounty Hunter star says in the May issue of Harper’s Bazaar UK.

Jen, wrinkles or not, you’ll always be America’s sweetheart — so whether you decide to go au natural or get a little surgical tweaking, we’re going to love you anyway! How does Jennifer Aniston do it? The starlet has been promoting her flick, The Bounty Hunter, nonstop! From London, NYC, Paris, Berlin and finally, Madrid, Jen managed to pull out a variety of different dresses. Overall, my favorite was her long biege Donna Karan asymmetrical dress in NYC. It showed off a softer, more chic side of the starlet who often opts for LBD’s, like she did in Madrid, for her final promotional stop! While I’m happy Jen played around with color and showed off her killer bod in something other than basic black when she stepped out on the carpet for her apperances, she still managed to gravitate to her fave designer, Valentino, the majority of the time! Overall, I wish she took more chances with her choices, but what do you think? Did she wow you or leave you wondering? You know what carpet look blew me away, but which look is your fave?
