Shailene Woodley is seeing red! Her hair, that is! Shailene is portraying Spiderman’s love interest Mary Jane Watson in the upcoming movie The Amazing Spider-Man 2. While filming in New York City, she showed off her new locks. Love it or loathe it, HollywoodLifers?

The role was played by Kirsten Dunst in a previous Spider-Man franchise. She will join real-life couple Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield in the sequel, hitting theaters in 2014.

The End Of ‘Secret Life’

Shailene’s leading role on Secret Life will end in June after five seasons. The last episodes have already been filmed and Shailene spoke to Us Weekly on Feb. 9 about the end of the series:

“It was a bittersweet day, that last day. It was five years and it was an amazing chapter in my life, but it’s also great to be moving on, to be moving forward onto other things.”

Shailene is definitely keeping busy though, working on Spider-Man, and Divergent, a new movie based on the popular novel.

“I’m working on a project called Divergent, and Kate Winslet just signed on. I’m really excited to meet her! I’ve been watching her since Titanic when I was 8 years old, so I’m really looking forward to getting to know her.”

One of the most buzzed-about films of summer is The Amazing Spider-Man, featuring red-hot stars Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone. HollywoodLife.com got a chance to see this highly-anticipated reboot  at a special screening hosted by The Wall Street Journal and The Peggy Siegal Company. It’s anchored by the real-life lovers, who definitely add some much-needed starpower to the fading franchise. It’s as fun and epic a superhero movie as The Avengers! Check out five reasons we LOVED this action-packed flick!

1) Andrew and Emma are great stars!

We just love the chemistry between Peter Parker and Gwen Stacy. It’s so pleasant to chill out and enjoy two attractive people deliver witty banter for two hours!

2) The Lizard is a great villain!

Rhys Ifans is so much fun as mad scientist Dr. Curt Connors, and the visual effects which transform him into The Lizard are so great. His leathery skin especially pops in 3D — it’s some of the best CGI of the year!

3) The action is breezy and fun!

The Amazing Spider-Man plays as a live-action cartoon, which is pretty perfect for a comic book adaptation. It never gets dark and gloomy, preferring to keep the thrills in interesting environments like the sewers and a high school. It even delivers an eye-popping bridge battle!

4) The supporting cast is amazing!

Between Martin Sheen, Sally Field and Denis Leary, the adults are played by strong actors who give warm performances. It gives the movie plenty of heart!

5) It’s a true crowd-pleaser!

If you’re spending the holiday with friends and family, everyone will think Spider-Man is a great pick. After all, you can’t exactly take your nieces and nephews to go see Magic Mike!

After the premiere, A-list guests headed to the after party at Lilium, located inside the W Union Square, and the swanky soiree was sponsored by The Gerber Group.

When he’s bitten by radioactive spider, high school student Peter Parker’s life changes forever. In this newly-released clip from this summer’s The Amazing Spider-Man — out in theaters July 3 — Andrew Garfield‘s Peter finds out the hard way how hard it is having super strength.

In the clip, an unkempt Peter tries going through his morning routine in the bathroom, only to encounter a few… difficulties.

The Amazing Spider-Man also stars 28-year-old Andrew’s off-screen girlfriend, Emma Stone, 23, as Peter’s love interest, Gwen Stacy.

Spider-Man is looking better than ever! The official trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man has just be released, and it looks awesome! We specially love the sexual tension between Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone, who plays his love interest Gwen Stacy!

The movie focuses on Peter Parker’s high-school years, chronicling how he learned to deal with his super-human powers. Do you think Andrew will make a better Spider-Man than Tobey Maguire did in director Sam Raimi‘s original Spider-Man trilogy?

The Amazing Spider-Man co-stars Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield bonded over sushi and a chocolate souffle at Malibu’s swanky Nobu Restaurant Thursday night, Aug. 25 and HollywoodLife.com has all of the exclusive details!

An eyewitness at Nobu tells us, “Emma and Andrew looked really happy together and they looked like they were more than just friends! It was just the two of them and they were smiling and laughing a lot.”

“They shared a bunch of different itemsoff the menu including lobster ceviche, rock shrimp tempura, yellowtail scallion rolls, asparagus tuna rolls and for dessert they had the warm chocolate souffle cake.”

“When they left the Nobu, Andrew had his hand on Emma’s back and led her out the door. He was very sweet and polite!”

Andrew, 28, shared his feelings for his 23-year-old co-star with the LA Times saying, “She’s the best. She’s very talented and I knew that going in. I didn’t know how nice she was going to be and how funny and how sweet and how generous she was going to be as a human being. She’s the kind of girl who brings cupcakes in for the crew and doesn’t tell them that they are from her. She really wanted to get under the skin of the character and make something authentic and real. She’s playful and fun and silly and constantly helped me to stay in a place where I didn’t take things too seriously. That’s important for me because I’m pretty serious as a person. It gets on my nerves how serious I can be. So she was a real gift.”

The Amazing Spider-Man comes out next summer and a sequel is already in the works, so it looks like the twosome will be spending plenty of time together!

The details of their evening together are dubious, but hey, we won’t question how or why Robert Pattinson and Andrew Garfield ended up partying together in Los Angeles this weekend. “Party with rob pattinson and andrew garfield,” Neima Marcus of Pink Dolphin tweeted Aug. 21. “Those boys r wild.”

There’s a good chance the British boys were celebrating Andrew’s birthday, which was Aug. 20, but it wouldn’t surprise us if Rob also imparted some wisdom on the Amazing Spider-Man actor, from one franchise superstar to another.

If only Daniel Radcliffe had tagged along!

Lindsay is poised to star in the celebrity-skewing thriller ‘Escaping The Game’ — but can she stay out of jail long enough to shoot?

Lindsay Lohan has apparently agreed to be in the upcoming film Escaping The Game, and if she formally accepts the role, will be her first project since leaving rehab in January. The 24-year-old is slated to act alongside the buzzed-about Chris Zylka, one of the leads of the upcoming The Amazing Spider-Man, RadarOnline.com reports. Shooting the film will take Lindsay between the U.S. and Spain for much of the summer.

The script is about celebrities who are so overwhelmed by fame they fake their deaths and move to a remote island. Ironically, Lindsay will be playing a detective pursuing the truth behind all of these famous disappearances.
