Michael Shannon and Jessica Chastain star in a psychological thriller that is too good to miss this fall.

Curtis (Michael Shannon) and Samantha (Jessica Chastain) live in a small farm town in the Midwest with a deaf daughter. Everything is going well until Curtis begins to have nightmares about a storm coming that would essentially end the world. Soon his nightmares become hallucinations which drive him to become obsessed with building a storm shelter in his backyard. This causes him to lose his job and isolates him and his family from the small town they live in.

HollywoodLife.com attended the premiere hosted by Peggy Siegal on Sept. 7 and I must say it was riveting! I won’t spoil the ending of the movie for you, but it really was jaw-dropping!

Take Shelter was an incredibly powerful film and left you begging for more at the end. It’s definitely a good movie to see as temperatures drop this fall.

After the premiere, guests partied at the swanky The Vault at Pfaff’s, which is now open to the public! This means you too can party like celebs Michael and Jessica!

Get Jessica Chastain’s exact red carpet makeup, done by her celebrity makeup artist, Mai Quynh, from her skin prep to the last swipe of lip gloss.

Here’s what Mai did to create the look:

Prep:

• ”I prepped Jessica’s skin by applying Mark Calm & Composed Super-Soothing Moisturizer all over, followed by mark Primed For Perfection Face Primer to create a clean, glowing canvas.”

Eyes:

• “For Jessica’s eyes, I lined them with Mark Keep It Going Longwear Duo in Entourage (black). Then, I applied liner along the upper lashline using the flat eyeliner brush. To make a dramatic effect, I winged out the liner at the end of the eye. Finishing her eyes, I used two coats of Mark Lash All You Want High Volume Mascara in Black.”

Face:

• “I then applied Mark Min-A-Real Cream-To-Powder Foundation in Buff with a foundation brush. Next, I put Mark Good Riddance Hook Up Concealer in Fair/Light under Jessica’s eyes and around her nose, blending it with a concealer brush. Lastly, I set her foundation with Mark Matte-nificient Oil-Absorbing Powder in Ivory/Nude using the powder brush.”

Cheeks:

• “To highlight her skin, I dusted Mark Good Glowing Blush in Star Glo on her cheeks using the angled contour face brush.”

Lips:

• “For Jessica’s lips, I applied Mark Totally Balmed SPF 15 Tinted Lip Balm in Totally Sweet to finish the look with a beautiful smile.”
