Olympic track star Suzy Favor Hamilton shocked her family and fans when she revealed that she was living a double life as a $600/hour call girl in Las Vegas.

“I realize I have made highly irrational choices and I take full responsibility for them,” Suzy, 44, said on her Twitter account after TheSmokingGun.com outed her. “I am not a victim here and knew what I was doing.”

“I do not expect people to understand, but the reasons for doing this made sense to me at the time and were very much related to depression,” the mom tweeted.

Suzy, an Olympian in 1992, 1996 and 2000, offered an apology and added that she is currently seeing a psychologist and hopes to keep her family as well as her marriage intact.

“As crazy as I know it seems, I never thought I would be exposed, therefore never hurting anybody. I was drawn to escorting in large part because it provided many coping mechanisms for me when I was going through a very challenging time with my marriage and my life,” she tweeted.

Suzy is married to her college sweetheart and they have a 7-year-old daughter together. According to Daily News, Suzy started her escort career a year ago and her husband was well aware of the situation.

“It provided an escape from a life that I was struggling in. It was a double life.”
