The season premiere of Glee is less than a month away, and FOX has given us our first look at the sure-to-be hot new year at McKinley High. While we’re glad to see Rachel (Lea Michele), Finn (Cory Monteith) and the rest of our favorite gleeks up to their old tricks, we still feel there’s one very important glee club member missing from this promo: Chord Overstreet as Sam!

Maybe we get attached too easily, but we’re going through major Chord separation anxiety — already! Even though we’ve known for weeks now that Sam is officially gone for good, we don’t think the reality will really sink in until Glee returns Sept. 20 on FOX.

The May 17 episode of ‘Glee’ had some amazing performances — and made us even more anxious for the Nationals in NYC next week!

Will Schuester initially suggested entering the National Glee competition in NYC with one group number and one duet, but of course there was some disagreement about who the featured singers would be.

Will also faced a tough decision when Becky, the cheerleader with Down Syndrome, came to ask him if she could join the Glee club.  The reason, of course, was because Sue Sylvester had cut her from the team.

Sue dismissed her from the McKinley Cheerios because Becky reminded her of her sister, who also had Down Syndrome but died of pneumonia in the last couple days. The funeral that everyone was anticipating in this episode was revealed very early on!

After a harsh review of the Glee club, especially Finn’s capabilities, Rachel got frustrated when Finn confessed his confidence was shot thanks to Jesse St. James, the newcomer and former member of Vocal Adrenaline.

Emma helped Will pack up his things for his trip to New York, but it got a little emotional when she asked him to pack up and give away the sweater vest he first met her in. She might be the most understanding girlfriend ever.

Sue admitted to Finn and Kurt that she didn’t know how to deal with her sister’s death. She couldn’t deal with the fact that her sister was the nicest person ever while she’s the meanest, yet she’s still living. Finn decided to take control and make the group decision for the Glee club to help plan the funeral — against the advice of Jesse St. James.

The members of Glee club had to audition to become the centerpiece of their performance at Nationals. Santana performed Amy Winehouse‘s ‘Back to Black,’ which was AMAZING, and made me remember what a great song that is. But Jesse absolutely hated it.

Kurt sang ‘Some People’ from Gypsy. He did a good job, but it didn’t really do anything for me. Again, Jesse was less than thrilled.

Mercedes killed it singing ‘Try a Little Tenderness’ by Otis Redding. Will said thank you for remembering where Glee club started, but Jesse said she needed to practice and called her lazy.

Rachel sang Barbara Streisand‘s closing number in Funny Girl, ‘My Man,’ and she cried, thinking of Finn of course. It was a truly, truly incredible performance — Jesse loved it! I have to say she deserved the win but it totally looked  like he was raving about her because of their history together.

Sue was giving a hard time to Kurt and Finn about packing up her sister’s things, and finally admitted that she only wanted the Glee club there to fill the funeral home. But in the end, the Glee boys organized the most touching funeral service that Sue could have expected. Not only was the house full of people that loved her sis, but Sue began a speech that Will had to finish because of her teary eyes. Even a non-Gleek could absolutely not keep dry eyes during this scene.

The Glee club performed an amazing version of the Willy Wonka song ‘Pure Imagination’ along to a video montage of Sue’s sister.

Finn broke up with Quinn after confessing that he just doesn’t feel tethered to her the way that Sue had talked about earlier. She pathetically suggested that she would stay with him until he got over Rachel, but at least Finn was strong enough to say no.

Post-funeral Sue made amends with Becky and said she could come back to the Cheerios! She also gave up on trying to take down the Glee club in order to run for State representative, but also is forced to admit that she rerouted the team’s tickets to Libya. Terri Schuester came through in the end and got the team their tickets, but also confessed she’s moving to Miami.

Game-changer: While Jesse told Rachel that she won the feature spot in the Nationals, he kissed her and Finn saw as he was on his way to give Rachel flowers!!

In the end, Will couldn’t choose just one student to feature in the Nationals and decided the club would perform original songs, which would include all the members in every number. Will this be good or bad? New York next week!

Prepare to be blown away by Sunshine Corazon’s performance of ‘All By Myself!’ Will YOU be watching?

Chasters, your wait is finally over! Sunshine Corazon has been sorely missed from Glee ever since she appeared — and quickly disappeared — in the hallowed halls of McKinley High this past fall. But now she’s back, and Charice told HollywoodLife.com we can expect more tension between her character and Lea Michele‘s Rachel. ”I’ve been reading comments on my Twitter, and I’m really happy to know the fans are excited,” she told us in a phone call April 18. “Ryan [Murphy] has made the fans wait, but in a good way.”

And while Sunshine is busy battling Rachel, Charice is buddying up with another one of the show’s stars: Jane Lynch!

“I feel like I’m a six-year-old kid,” Charice also revealed. “She’s really tall, but I love Jane. When I was on set, she was the first one who talked to me. We got close. She’s really sweet.”

On the Super Bowl edition of “Glee,” Katie Couric interviews Sue Sylvester (Jane Lynch) about being awarded “Loser of the Year.” According to Katie, Sue beat out other worthy candidates such as Tiger Woods, the economy, the Dallas Cowboys, Mel Gibson, 9 percent unemployment, Brett Favre‘s cell phone, Dina Lohan, Wall Street, the housing market and “Sparky Lohan, who is Dina Lohan’s dog and apparently also a loser.”

Glee has a history of calling celebs out, but we’re really shocked they went after so many huge targets!

Like the rest of the world, we absolutely fell in love with Glee when it premiered on FOX last year. The stories, the songs, the characters — Glee was a breath of creative, fresh air in an otherwise stale television landscape. But we’re now midway through the second season, and we’re sad to say the spark that first drew us in has all but fizzled out. The HollywoodLife.com staff put our heads together and came up with six major reasons we think the show is going downhill — and how to turn it around before it’s too late!

1. There’s way too much Sue Sylvester! Don’t get us wrong — Jane Lynch is easily the funniest actress on Glee, but her character is also a very delicate creature. Sue’s cruel, biting sense of humor has made for some of the funniest scenes in Glee history, but the show’s creative team needs to start using her more sparingly so we don’t get desensitized to her oft-shocking one-liners. Everything in moderation!
2. There aren’t enough good story lines to follow! One of the reasons we kept coming back to Glee week after week last season was because the story arcs actually engaged us. We were totally invested in Terri’s (Jessalyn Gilsig) fake pregnancy, Quinn’s (Dianna Agron) real pregnancy, and Sue’s ever-progressing plan to take down the Glee club. But what is there to follow this season? We’re finally getting some continuity with Kurt and Blaine’s budding romance, but we need more. You hear that? MORE!
3. Will needs to get a love life again! Speaking of good story lines, when is Will (Matthew Morrison) going to get himself a real girlfriend? His various romances last season were some of the best parts of the show — from his train wreck marriage to Terri, his hot fling with Emma (Jayma Mays), and even the tiny possibility of a hookup with Rachel (Lea Michele.) But now that Terri’s gone and Emma’s married, the hottest thing going on in Will’s life is an ongoing love affair… with sweater vests.
4. There’s too much hype surrounding celebrity guests & theme episodes! Isn’t it a little early for Glee to be relying so heavily on stunt casting? We love us some Gwyneth Paltrow, but can’t we just be excited to see our favorite characters every week? And don’t even get us started on the surplus of theme episodes. When an entire episode is structured around a totally out-of-nowhere theme — see the Britney Spears and Rocky Horror Picture Show episodes — the entire hour ends up feeling awkward and forced.
5. The song choices are getting ridiculous! “Don’t Cry For Me Argentina?” Seriously? We want to know who bought that on iTunes.
6. We. Want. Charice! When the buzz was building around season two, one of the biggest draws for new viewers was the introduction of international pop sensation Charice as Sunshine — a worthy rival for Rachel. We LOVED her in the season premiere and eagerly awaited her epic return… but sadly, it never came. Please, gods of Glee, return her to us!

The November 23 episode of ‘Glee’ pulled out all the stops — Nazi-hunting Carol Burnett, singing, dancing & two marriages and let us not forget the drama of Kurt leaving McKinley High!

Tonight’s episode of Glee, “Furt,” was all about change — the things that we are often most scared of were addressed with bullying, family issues and marriage. Of course, this was also the episode featuring the iconic Carol Burnett, which granted the average Glee watcher has no clue of her legend, but thankfully she proved she’ll make a new legend as Sue Sylvester’s (Jane Lynch) no nonsense mother Doris Sylvester. But that’s not even the half of it.

Let’s take it from the start.

Someone is getting married, more like 4 people are getting married. Well not quite, but there were four proposals in the first few minutes that made my head explode in excitement. It all begins with Kurt (Chris Colfer) walking up to Finn with his father and Finn’s mother for a HUGE announcement, they’re engaged! And Kurt makes it his mission right then and there to be the wedding planner! Moments later, Sue Sylvester who will never be out done decides to marry the one person who is perfect for her, and that is HERSELF! Newsman Rod Remington takes it upon himself to get engaged with the fellow newswoman, Andrea Carmichael! And maybe the best possible engagement, actually turned into Sam (Chord Overstreet) wanting to give Quinn (Dianna Agron) a promise ring for a future that ended with the world’s worst word… “Maybe.” All this happened in the first 5 minutes, INCREDIBLE!

And just when you think you can breath, Carol Burnett shows up looking for her daughter, “Susie”, which is just hilarious! You can tell Carol is having a blast in her alter ego as a life long Nazi hunter, but we also learn she wasn’t the best mother in the world. Its nice to see the real reason why Sue Sylvester is the person she actually is, because her mom is border line crazy! But as quickly we learn about Sue’s wedding to HERSELF and more about her mother we are quickly brought back to the halls of McKinley High to witness a little of Finn’s insecurities.

The episode then transitions and shows the kids rallying over the bullying troubles Kurt (Chris Colfer) has been accustomed to as of late, and when an all out brawl occurs in the locker room between Artie, Mike, Sam and Dave Karofsky, you know they mean business. There is more then one benefit of helping a friend as it actually gets all the guys a little more credibility with the girls in their life except Finn (Corey Montieth) who was nowhere to be found during the scuffle. To see Quinn and Brittany (Heather Morris) fawn over Artie and Sam is straight out of what I remember happening in my high school days!

But let’s not forget we have to worry about the other story of Carol Burnett and Jane Lynch, they are seen together on stage bickering until Carol decides to sing, “Ohio” as a slightly boring duet between the two, but the scene picks up when they stop singing and bicker some more, they hold hands and show that there is love between them both, and after they hug and embrace Carol might have the line of the night when she utters, “Well that wasn’t as good as i thought it would be.” Its a pretty great cherry on top to the scene between the two. If you don’t chuckle out loud, you have no sense of humor!

Kurt’s wedding planner quest continues as he teaches his father Burt (Mike O’Malley) how to dance, and also tries to give some tips to Finn, which introduces us back to Kurt’s bully Dave Karofsky, Kurt’s dad doesn’t like what he sees and confronts Karofsky, leading to Karofsky getting expelled from school, but don’t get to excited, things actually change fast.

With the bully managed for the time being the action turns back to the wedding and Carol (Romy Rosemont) and Burt read their own vows that were very touching, allowing us all to see the true love that they have for each other. This scene allowed the Glee kids to perform “Marry You” and it was pretty amazing. It really took inspiration from that wedding video that tore up YouTube last year, you know the one with Chris Brown‘s “Forever”. Finn then stepped up and performed “Just The Way You Are”, to show everyone he really had Kurt’s back through all his struggles, it was very touching.

Sadly it wasn’t all happiness, the school board chose not to do anything about Korofsky and overturned Sue Sylvester’s decision to expel Korofsky, plus Santana almost told Rachel she slept with Finn, and when that finally reaches Rachel’s ears, that is going to really mess things up for out favorite

When Kurt learns that his bully Dave Karofsky will actually be allowed back in school, this is the final straw, when faced with dealing with being constantly bullied or even worse, getting death threats he decides the next best thing is to transfer from McKinley High immediately to the competing Dalton Academy that just happens to have a certain Glee character named Blaine, played by the “Teenage Dream” super hunk Darren Criss which nobody from Finn to Rachel to Mercedes can comprehend especially since the all important sectionals are right around the corner, talk about the drama curveball of the season!

To sum up:

I’ll admit that I am not a weekly Glee watcher, but I keep up with everything that happens on the show, there was a lot to love with this episode as they are really focusing on story, and gearing up for some serious madness in the near future. This episode would be the perfect episode to start with if you have never watched the show because it pretty much wraps up everything that has been going on through the show. And the icing on the cake is easily Kurt leaving McKinley High School right before sectionals. This could easily be the catalyst for the rest of the season, I’m already counting down till next week!

Jane Lynch is heading down the aisle again… but will she wear a track suit this time?

Glee star Jane Lynch, 50, took the plunge this summer and married her partner Dr. Lara Embry. Now Sue Sylvester — the cheer coach everyone loves to hate — is about to do the same! Jane tells Us Weekly that Sue WILL be walking down the aisle this season, but is remaining tight-lipped about her spouse-to-be. “I can’t say who [I'm marrying]!” Jane said. “But you may know who it is! I’m really excited about the wedding. We shot it already and it was so much fun!”

We’re dying to find out who Sue marries! Any guesses, Gleeks?

Jane thinks it’s a horrible idea for kids to “sext” while at school and we agree! BFFs — how embarrassing would it be if you got caught in the middle of this heinous act?

You better watch out — Glee‘s Jane Lynch, who plays cheer coach Sue Sylvester, is the newest member of the cell phone police and she’s out to get you! “Don’t get dirty with the QWERTY, kids,” Jane warns in an interview with Prevention magazine. “Sexting is a major no-no that can have damaging and long-term effects!”

“Do you really want your cheerleader coach or glee club instructor to see a picture of your ‘what whats,” Jane asks. “I don’t think so!”

Jane suggests to just follow in the example of the rest of her Glee cast members. “They are all very responsible texters,” Jane says. “They also really enjoy each other’s company so they’re not always gabbing to other people on their cells.”

We think Jane’s “no sexting” rule is a great idea. Don’t you agree?
