Babysitter Caught With Child Strapped In The Back Of A Pick-Up Truck! Worst Sitter Ever?

The woman was filmed by stunned motorists clinging onto the eight-month-old baby in a stroller, while the truck cruised around the streets of Daytona Beach, Florida.

Babysitter Keyona Davis, 34, was arrested on Wednesday August 17, after concerned road-users called 911. She was charged with neglect — but allowed to walk free from court the following day. Did she get off too lightly?

“It’s not something you see every day,” Daytona Beach police Chief Mike Chitwood tells CNN. “I hope they revoke her babysitting license for that. Would you want her watching your kid?”

Keyona, who was babysitting a friend’s child, told cops she had a firm grip on the stroller and had no idea that what she was doing was wrong! Can you believe that?

In court, her lawyer even claimed the neglect charge was too harsh, saying, “It’s only if the pickup crashes, the child will be injured or hurt.”

She was set free by the court on Thursday, on her own recognizance. Police plan to investigate the driver of the car and the child’s mother.

What do Benjamin Travolta, Isabella Damon, Marion & Tabitha Broderick and Naleigh Heigl all have in common (besides having celebrity parents, of course) — they’re all riding around in style in Cybex strollers.

New to American shores, the European-designed strollers are becoming a hit with new parents in the U.S. — and I got my hands on one this week to try out with my 5-month-old son Callum, so I could find out what all the fuss is about!

Callum and I plodded around all winter in a heavy and clunky 3-wheel stroller with a car-seat attached — so the first thing I noticed about the Cybex Callisto was the weight. It’s seriously light. And compact too.

I even foolishly managed to fit us both through a revolving door during our first outing with the Callisto. Please don’t try that at home!

When you’re done with it for the day, the Callisto collapses into a tidy bundle that’s easily stashed into the neatest nook, cranny or closet.

This stroller has also forced me to come to the conclusion that, when it comes to strollers, four wheels are definitely better than three. Particularly these four wheels.

With our old 3-wheeler we had gotten used to the front wheel veering in the wrong direction or sticking, often forcing us to use both hands to steer it around a corner. None of that with the Callisto. It takes corners with ease and glides up and down steps with little effort.

Cybex have managed to get all the practical things right, like adequate storage in places you can actually reach. And my favorite, a waterproof cover that folds all the way over — meaning I don’t have to deal with a plastic rain cover that inevitably blows off after the first gust of wind.

Callum loves it already, particularly being able to see what’s going on and interact with the outside world, after a winter spent cooped up in a car-seat.

We’d been apprehensive about switching him into a more grown-up front-facing stroller, but thanks to it’s tilting back support, the Callisto can be used from birth, and Callum took to it with ease.

I can see why so many celebrities have opted for a Cybex. It gets a double thumbs up from Callum and I.
