Taylor ditched her cutesy feminine style for a more sexy, sophisticated vibe. Inside the mag, Taylor opens up about being cheated on — and how sometimes being scorned in love serves as the best inspiration.

Perfect schmerfect. Clearly America doesn’t love you any less for one off-key night, Taylor. You still managed to win four Grammy Awards, after all!

Ouch. Taylor Swift has been getting p-a-n-n-e-d for her less than perfect Grammy night duet with rock legend Stevie Nicks. The backlash has been so strong, in fact, that the head of Taylor’s label, Big Machine Records, has had to leap to her defense.

“The biggest message is {the critics) are not getting it,” Scott Borchetta told the Tennessean of the 20-year-old country singer’s rendition of Fleetwood Mac’s Rihannon Jan. 31. “When she says something, when she sings something, when she feels something, it affects more people than anybody else.”

He continued, “Maybe she’s not the best technical singer, but she’s probably the best emotional singer because everybody else who gets up there and is technically perfect, people don’t seem to want more of it. … I think (the critics) are missing the whole voice of a generation that is happening right in front of them. … She’s an extraordinary songwriter and her vocal performances are getting better. Everybody is not perfect on any given day. If you pick any of those artists that performed (on the Grammy Awards) I’m sure you can go online and find something where you go, ‘ew.’ Maybe in that moment we didn’t have the best night. But in the same breath, maybe we did. And nobody is arguing with the awards.”

Don’t listen to the critics, Taylor! After all, no one is perfect. But if you ever do get upset at hearing such harsh criticism about your talent or abilities, we’re pretty sure all you need to do is look at those four trophies. They should provide all the reassurance you need that you rock.
