Steve Carell stars in the new movie Seeking a Friend for the End of the World in which an asteroid, heading towards Earth, will end the world in three weeks! Hollywood interviewer Jeanne Wolf asks Steve what we’re all wondering: how would he spend his last moments on Earth?

Steve, 49, admitted that his last wish would be to have some good junk food!

Steve said, “It would just be deep fried everything. I was watching this show about deep fried hot dogs. They deep fry the hot dog and then they batter that around a bun and then deep fry that!”

TVLine.com interviewed Michael’s successor — do you think he’s the right man to fill his shoes?

“That’s what she said” is something that no one can say as effortlessly funny as Steve Carell. The Office star has left a void on the hit series but TVLine.com has just broken amazing news on the heels of the Sept. 22 season eight premiere that may lift your spirits and give you a newfound hope for this season. But stop reading now if you don’t want to know the exciting news!

Andy Bernard [Ed Helms] is replacing Michael Scott [Steve Carell] as his successor and head of Dunder Mifflin’s Scranton, Pa., branch! We think  Andy is a great choice! TVLine’s Editor-in-Chief Michael Ausiello spoke with Ed about the new role and here are some of the hilarios things he had to say:

When and how did you find out that Andy was the new boss?

It was probably about three or four weeks before production [on the new season] started. I had lunch with [showrunner and costar] Paul Lieberstein, and he’s a marvelously cryptic guy. So it was a little bit of a dance at first and then it came out that that’s the direction they were planning. And I was so excited that I wet my pants. [Laughs] That’s not totally true, but it was exciting. In some ways it felt like just another lunch meeting, but with epic news. And then we had a nice little toast.

Michael Scott proposes to Holly and says good-bye to his office crew! Tears are shed all around, but we can’t help but smile as we watch the world’s best boss fly off to his new family.

Isn’t Holly (Amy Ryan) the best girl for Michael Scott (Steve Carell)? Everyone is waiting to see how he’s going to propose to the woman of his dreams. He actually tried to write it in fire!

They’re so in love that Holly actually tries to propose to him! Isn’t that the cutest? Unfortunately, Michael won’t let it happen and runs out of the room before she can say anything more.

Michael calls Holly over and gives her the biggest test of all: the entire staff each holds a flaming candle asking to marry her. Then the smoke alarm goes off and they get drenched. Michael pulls out the ring and the two kiss like a scene in The Notebook. It couldn’t be cuter! But there’s one twist — Michael’s leaving with Holly to Colorado so she can be with his father.

Now that the news is out, Michael tells everyone he’s leaving tomorrow when he’s actually leaving at the end of the day. He crosses off a list of names on a piece of paper, saying individual good-byes before leaving for good. After playing one last game of paint-ball with Dwight (Rainn Wilson) and giving his top clients to Andy (Ed Helms), he calls one last meeting in the conference room.

Michael leaves with everyone thinking he’ll be in tomorrow. Except for Jim Halpert, he tells Michael “good-byes are a bitch.” The office set up a good-bye party and were really disappointed when Michael didn’t show up. Deangelo (Will Ferrel) is so upset he grabs a corner of the cake and too upset to eat it, he throws it in the trash. Twice.

This episode was hugely emotional for any true Office fan — one-on-one character moments that brought tears to our eyes. Michael tells us, “Holly’s my family now… The people you work with are your very best friends.” Can you believe it? He’s actually leaving! Will you still be watching The Office with him gone?

Our fingers are crossed that this happens ASAP! In the meantime, BFFs, as Ron himself says, “Stay classy.”

The actor says that this season, his seventh, will be his last but the show will go on!

Steve Carell has finally confirmed after much speculation that after seven seasons on NBC’s The Office he will be leaving the show this coming May. “I just think it’s time,” the funny man told E! Online. “I want to fulfill my contract. When I first signed on I had a contract for seven seasons, and this coming year is my seventh. I just thought it was time for my character to go.” Say it ain’t so Steve!

Steve went on to say, “It doesn’t certainly mean the end of the show. I think it’s just a dynamic change to the show, which could be a good thing, actually. Add some new life and some new energy…I see it as a positive in general for the show.”

With his recent successes in feature films, such as Date Night with Tina Fey this comes as little surprise, but who will replace him on The Office? Could one of the current cast members like Ed Helms, Rainn Wilson, John Krasinski, B.J. Novak, Mindy Kaling, or Jenna Fischer be getting a promotion?

Even worse, can The Office survive without Steve Carell?

Fantastic People’s Choice Awards! We had a ton of fun watching!

What a fabulous night at the 36th annual People’s Choice Awards in Los Angeles, CA! We gave a standing ovation to hostess with the mostest Queen Latifah—she looked amazing, and managed to be hilarious and entirely inappropriate in all the right places.

Here are some of our favorite moments of the night:

Favorite Inappropriate Moment

Oh, Mariah Carey! The supertight dress, side boob peeking out, and innuendos about her and Nick Cannon‘s sex life…we didn’t know what to think of the Favorite R&B Artist. After her drunk appearance the night before at the Palm Springs International Film Festival, we’re starting to wonder: Is this an Inappropriate Streak?

Best Speech

Ellen DeGeneres accepting the award for Favorite Talk Show, giving a shout-out to her friend Oprah, whose “show was just canceled.” Runner up: Steve Carell, whose speech for Favorite TV Comedy Actor was one big, innuendo-filled ”that’s what she said” joke “This is much bigger than I thought it would be!” Steve, you are hilarious!

Most Gracious Winner

Favorite Movie Actor of the Decade Johnny Depp was our fave, too. Even though this swashbuckling heartthrob already has an Oscar-worthy career, he still realizes that fans are important. Take note, Robert Pattinson!

The kids from “Glee” looked all ready to sing…but it turned out to be an ad for DiGiorno pizza instead! Boo! Why didn’t you give us a song? And where was Mr. Schuster?? We NEEDED you!

Hubby of the Night

Three-way tie between Nick Cannon, Keith Urban, and Hugh Jackman. Nick helped Mariah up the stairs (her dress was so tight she couldn’t take big steps!), Keith couldn’t stop gushing about his “baby girl,” and Hugh gave a shoutout to the three most important people in his life: his kids and wife, Ava, Oscar, and Deb. Aw guys, you are true gentlemen!
