The top 13 boys were talented, but pretty boring. Thankfully, the judges had fun reenacting J. Lo’s unfortunate wardrobe malfunction at the Academy Awards!
Jennifer Lopez was wrong if she thought she could escape her Oscar slip up on American Idol Feb. 27. Her fellow judge, Stephen Tyler, gave her plenty of flack — even going so far as to show off his own nipple and ask, “Who am I?”
The judges announced there will be 13 guys in the top 25 this season on ‘American Idol.’ Do YOU think the last spot should be given to Johnny Keyser?
After four of the longest hours of American Idol in the history of the show, we finally discovered our top 24 contestants for season 11, but there was a catch! A 25th singer will be named next Tuesday and it will either be Jermaine Jones, Richie Law (the annoying cowboy), David Leathers, Jr. or Johnny Keyser (our personal favorite…even if he was lazy before!).
We all have trepidations about the new Idol changes, but people who have watched the screener of the first episode (which airs tonight) tell me the FOX reality show has finally returned to its roots!
Do you remember the first season of American Idol? I do. It was 2002 and FOX was trying out a little reality show in the US that had become huge overseas. America fell in love with two virtually unknown singers, Justin Guarini and Kelly Clarkson, and eventually elected Kelly as its first American Idol. I remember sitting on the sofa with my sisters in our family room den in a small town in Montana, voting for Kelly over and over again on our land line. Although simple, the show was inspirational and visceral…and it accomplished exactly what it set out to achieve.

Randy “Dawg” Jackson is apparently the harshest guy on the judges panel now that Simon Cowell is gone…but I’m not so sure Mr. Nice Guy can pull off being mean!
As if it’s not enough there are two new faces, Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez, on the American Idol panel, long-time Idol alum, Randy Jackson, has apparently changed his tune too! With notoriously tough Simon Cowell missing, “The Dawg” has decided to fill his shoes — but I seriously doubt Randy can be mean!
