The first time author Stephanie Meyer met Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, they were in full costumes and make up, so she was meeting her imaginary best friends that she wrote three best-sellers about. What does she remember about Kristen in that wedding gown, and the first time she sat down with Rob?

“That’s not something you get every day,” Stephanie told Inquirer Entertainment about the first time meeting the cast. “They were dressed up as my imaginary friends.

The author also remembered when filming the first movie, how incredible it felt — it “feels like someone’s been inside your head and now they’re acting out your fantasy. It’s surreal and wonderful in a lot of ways.”

The first time discussing the script, Stephanie had lunch with Rob, which didn’t go exactly how she had imagined.

“When Rob and I first met, we had lunch together [and] talked about the script,” she said in the interview. ”We sat there and argued for a solid hour and a half about the Edward character. And he was really sure I was wrong [in parts]. I was telling him, ‘This is how Edward feels…’ He said, ‘No, this is how he feels here.’ We went back and forth [that way]. It was hilarious and fun.”

“The one [moment] I think of first is filming the wedding scene,” Stephanie said when asked to recall memories with Kristen. “It took a really long time and it was freezing cold. A lot of the time, we were holed up in the garage of a house that we weren’t shooting in so we had all the gear there. Kristen was in her wedding dress—this really beautiful, satin gown that fitted her perfectly. She was very tired.”

The actress was “just so funny,” the 39-year-old novelist said. “It was near the very end and she was just realizing that this was it, this was the wedding. It was just fun, kind of relaxing in those circumstances. That is memorable for me.”

Kristen Stewart just got a rave review from Breaking Dawn author Stephanie Meyer, who says in an interview that Kristen’s performance as newly-vampy Bella was “amazing” and how impressed she was with her entire performance, as well as how the final cut of the film turned out.

“It’s subtle and yet kind of amazing,” Stephanie says in an MTV interview of Kristen’s role as Vampire Bella. “She’s very self-possessed the way she holds herself. She’s a completely different kind of character.”

Stephanie, referring to end of the series by saying she’s “carefully not thinking about it that way because I don’t want to be sad yet,” praised all the actors for their work, including the difficult vampire sex scenes.

“For the actors, there are 40 people in the room and most of them are inches away from you. It’s a kind of awkward menage-a-forty going on. I think when you see the scene it’s a testament to their acting ability that you don’t see any of that in that moment at all.”

Breaking Dawn, Part 2 opens in theaters November 16.

And as HollywoodLife.com previously reported, Robert Pattinson and Kristen will be joined with co-star Taylor Lautner in their first interview together since Kristen broke Rob’s heart by cheating on him. The interview will air on November 1 at 8:00pm EST on MTV to discuss clips from the saga. After, they will all stick around for what MTV calls a “lenghty interview” that will take place on MTV.com

Even though the final scenes of  Breaking Dawn have just come to an end, it’s already on to the next big thing, an adaptation of Stephanie Meyer‘s best-selling book, The Host, Deadline Hollywood told us first. The movie will hit theaters in 2013!

The Host was released in 2008 after the last of the author’s wildly successful Twilight series, and stayed at #1 on the New York Times Bestseller List for 26 weeks.

It’s no wonder that her popular novel is being taken to the big screen, especially because the Twilight film franchise has grossed $1.4 billion to date, and there are still two movies yet to be released!

Here’s an excerpt from the official confirmation:

” Open Road Films has acquired U.S. distribution rights to The Host, the big screen adaptation of Twilight series author Stephenie Meyer’s best-selling novel. As previously announced, The Host will be directed by Andrew Niccol (Gattaca), who also wrote the screenplay, and will star Saoirse Ronan (Hanna, The Lovely Bones, Atonement). Open Road Films has set a March 29, 2013 release date (Easter weekend) for The Host.“

The novel is about humans being invaded by an unseen Alien race called ‘Souls’ that inhabit human minds while leaving their bodies intact. Melanie is one of the last remaining wild humans, but becomes inhabited by a Soul named Wanderer who is frustrated that Melanie will not relinquish control and by her vivid human memories. Eventually, they are forced to work together — and of course, there’s a love interest!

Will you be in line to see it when the film finally arrives? Will Saoirse Ronan become as big as Kristen Stewart?

Saoirse Ronan is one of the youngest people to have ever been nominated for an Academy Award, but will her role in Stephanie Meyer’s ‘The Host’ make her a household name bigger than Kristen Stewart?

If you’re a film buff, you’ve been following Saoirse Ronan‘s career for years — and for those of you who don’t know the 17-year-old Irish film actress, get ready to become an expert. According to our sister site Deadline, Saoirse – pronounced Serha, like inertia — has just landed the leading role in Twilight author Stephanie Meyer‘s upcoming film adaptation of The Host.

Saoirse was born in New York City, but has been raised by her Irish parents in the Irish country. She first launched to fame after her role in Atonement garnered her Oscar, Golden Globe and BAFTA nods (to name a few). Since then, we’ve seen the teenage acting wonder star in The Lovely Bones and most recently in the thriller Hanna.

In The Host, Saoirse will play the leading role of Melanie Stryder, who is described as “one of the last humans putting up a fight against an alien species called Souls.” When Melanie’s body is invaded, she refuses to give up her consciousness and the alien inside her becomes enthralled by her thoughts and “reconnects with her old life.”

The book is a best seller and Stephanie Meyer has such a strong following from Twilight, there’s no doubt The Host will do well too. Not only has Saoirse booked the lead in this, but she’s also going to be in Peter Jackson‘s The Hobbit. Not too shabby for a 17-year-old, huh?

Edward and Bella spend an afternoon with their literal creator in Brazil!

Filming on Breaking Dawn has moved down to Brazil and stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are preparing for their upcoming scenes, likely involving their onscreen honeymoon, the best way they know how — meeting with Twilight author Stephenie Meyer! A source tells HollywoodLife exclusively, “I saw [Rob and Kristen] at the hotel restaurant [Nov. 5]. They were with Stephenie Meyer, eating at a table. There was not much PDA, but they looked happy, talking and smiling.”

The source went on to say about Rob, “The impression I had is that he is very careful with her. They are definitely a cute couple.”

As for how the young lovers looked ; “She is very beautiful, and has perfect white skin. And he’s handsome too. They make a great couple.”

It may be safe to say at this point that Kristen and Rob really are Hollywood’s greatest, and most down to earth, couple!

So you think you’re a die-hard Twi-hard? Well, you aren’t a real fan of Bella, Edward and co. until you name your baby after a character from the megahit Twilight books. The annual list of the most popular baby names in America has revealed that thousands of parents in the U.S. are picking names related to the Stephenie Meyer‘s cultural phenomenon. While Emily and Jacob are at the top of the list, Bella and Alice are popular names for girls and Cullen, Emmett and Jasper are all the rage for boys. It’s a craze that’s carrying over from last year, when Isabella and Jacob were the most popular names in the country.

“Name ideas have to come from somewhere,” BabyNameWizard.com’s  Laura Wattenberg told the Chicago Tribune, “and when a name is presented to a million people at once, if it’s a name that fits current styles and sounds good to parents, it becomes a hit.”

Stephenie named some of the characters in the books after her own relatives, and others, like Edward, were chosen because they sounded old-fashioned and fit with the idea of him being 90 years old. But when it came to Resesmee (spoiler alert: the name of Bella’s daughter), Stephenie says she made it up, because “what do you name the most unique baby in the world?”

Seventeen mothers out there must think their babies are pretty unique, cause they named their daughters Renesmee too. So how about you, would you name your child after a Twilight character?

Hey, Twi-Hards — can’t wait until Eclipse hits theaters on June 30?  Then you’re in luck, because an escapee copy of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse script is yours and free for the reading.

But don’t get TOO excited. According to Deadline.com’s Nikki Finke, the screenplay, which reportedly belonged to Jackson “Jasper Hale” Rathbone, 25, is only an early draft, meaning it’s not the version you’ll see on the big screen.

Although it’s still unclear how the script got lost (and found on the Internet), Jackson still might be getting a little slap on the wrist from his studio bosses. We think it’s safe to say he’s going to be OK, though. After all,  he’s not the first Twilight star to have reportedly lost one of the sacred scripts.

News broke back in May 2009 that Anna Kendrick‘s (who plays Bella’s frenemy Jessica Stanley) New Moon script was reportedly found outside a hotel near St. Louis.

And the mastermind behind the franchise, Twilight author Stephanie Meyer, 36, also ran into some problems with leaked information. She stopped writing  Midnight Sun, the fifth novel in the series, after a draft was leaked in September 2008.

We know stars usually have bodyguards, but now we’re starting to think that these scripts should too!
