Stacey Dash, who famously played Dionne in Clueless, took to her Twitter account on Sunday, Oct. 7 to share her choice for president in November’s election — Republican candidate Mitt Romney! It was an announcement that shocked her fans, who responded with some not-so-nice words.

In her tweet, Stacey said, “Vote for Romney. The only choice for your future.” Mitt, whose platform is often criticized for its approach to women’s rights and minority rights, might seem like an unlikely choice for Stacey — a point one fan didn’t ignore.

“@REALStaceyDash You’re an unemployed black woman endorsing @MittRomney. You’re voting against yourself thrice. You poor beautiful idiot,” Tretista Kelverian, a fan, wrote on Twitter.

Stacey remained poised in the face of the criticism lobbed towards her, only replying, “My humble opinion…EVERYONE is entitled to one.”

Former child star Stacey Dash, who appeared on the popular ’80s sitcoms The Cosby Show and St. Elsewhere, really sealed her celebrity status as valley girl Dionne in the pop culture classic Clueless. And while her Clueless co-star Alicia Silverstone is expecting her first baby, Stacey is an old-pro at parenting.

“So a day as Stacey dash is the same as the next mother. I spend time with my son and daughter. I just enjoy spending time with them. I mean, we grocery shop, I take my daughter to dance class, I do what every devoted mother does,” she says about raising her kids — son, Austin, 19, and daughter, Lola, 7.

We told you first that Jamie Foxx and Clueless star Stacey Dash are a hot new item! And now, according to astrology website Moonit.com, their “attraction levels are off the charts!” But the site also says that such immediate passion may not be good for long term commitment. Now, Stacey’s with Jamie and it seems like a pretty good match. Jamie is good friends with Stacey’s cousin Damon Dash, former CEO and co-founder of Roc-A-Fella Records and even collaborated with him and Kanye West on the hit “Gold Digger” back in 2005.

So, it looks like both Stacey and Jamie have found something more in their relationship. Not only do they look super happy together in the pics from the parties this past weekend, but now they can both help each others’ careers. Stacey can support Jamie’s next album and Jamie can help Stacey restart her acting career … a match made in heaven!
