When Taylor Swift took the Grammy stage with Stevie Nicks two years ago, she choked and butchered her harmonies, leading critics to question her talent. One music business blogger in particular, Bob Lefsetz, even claimed the then 20-year-old country crooner “ruined” her career with the performance.

“Now, everyone knows that Taylor Swift can’t sing,” he wrote in the scathing critique.

“Taylor’s too young and dumb to understand the mistake she made. And those surrounding her are addicted to cash and are afraid to tell her no. But last night Taylor Swift SHOULD have auto-tuned. To save her career.”

Following that hurtful review, it is widely believed Taylor, now 22, penned her single, “Mean,” which talks about “words like knives and swords and weapons that you use against me” and says, “All you are is mean — and a liar and pathetic and alone in life.”

In the song, Taylor also talks about her bully saying “[she] can’t sing” and flip flopping sides (Bob had once praised her talent) — so it’s very fitting she would sing “Mean” at her first Grammy performance since her failed duet.

At first I speculated Tay would sing “Safe & Sound,” her new song with The Civil Wars for The Hunger Games, but was gleefully surprised when “Mean” started playing. Not only is Taylor talented, but she always gets her revenge one way or the other and makes her enemy look stupid.

The business savvy singer performed “Mean” flawlessly, complete with a cool set, choreography and pitch pitch perfect vocals, in addition to winning two awards for Best Country Solo Performance and Best Country Song. Ha!

Bob Lefsetz, I hope you were watching the show at home on your TV and wishing you could take back your words from two years ago. See…all you are is mean.

Taylor Swift fans, rejoice! Pretty soon you’ll be able to get the full Swifty experience in the comfort of your own home, whenever you want! The 21-year-old country-pop crooner is releasing a DVD and live CD of her Speak Now world tour Nov. 21, which she announced today in a special video.

In the video below, Taylor says she’s “very excited” about her first live album release — and so are we! The DVD is going to feature all of the songs Taylor performed on tour and the CD will include more than hour of live recordings.

Forget the stylists, watch as Taylor Swift cuts her best friends’ hair while touring!

Taylor Swift posted her personal video diary from her trip across Asia including footage of the singer cutting her best friends’ hair backstage. She trims the bangs of not one, but two, of her band members while getting ready for her concert.

The video shows Taylor, 21, as she travels through airports, shops at local stores, and even dresses up as a geisha with her band. It also features concert footage from tour stops in Singapore, Korea, Japan, and the Philippines.

Taylor reminds fans to vote for at the Academy of Country Music Awards starting March 1. The European leg of Taylor’s tour kicks off on March 6 in Belgium.

EW has named it’s Entertainer of the Year, and it comes as no surprise that Taylor takes home the honor. And she promises that there is no one she won’t write about!

Taylor Swift’s life is an open book in music and lyrical form. Though she never confirms or denies who inspires which songs, it’s not that hard to guess. Good thing, because we like it that way. And you know what? So does Taylor…

The 20-year-old (almost 21!) country juggernaut isn’t afraid to get personal. In a new interview with Entertainment Weekly, she tells the mag that writing songs about her own pain and heartache help her “more than anything,” even if there might be consequences of her words.

“I realize there are consequences to your actions. But the reason I write songs is to help clarify how I feel and get past it,” Taylor says.

And to get past breakups with the likes of Joe Jonas and John Mayer, it means she had to get really specific and really personal. “Nothing is off-limits as far as writing. You can’t have parts of your life you don’t write about,” she insists.

But don’t ask her to talk about her personal life, because when the interview steers toward new love Jake Gyllenhaal, Swifty shuts down.

When Love & Other Drugs is brought up, she smiles and simply says, “it’s a good movie.” When she’s asked about the recent photos of her frolicking around with Jake, the roadblock is hit: “I write in great detail about my personal life, but I don’t talk about it,” she responds coyly.

Congrats on being the Entertainer of the Year, Taylor! You rocked 2010!

Jake and Taylor continue to be adorable during their stay in Nashville. They hit up yet another coffee shop and we’ve got all the goods on their date!

Jake Gyllenhaal and Taylor Swift were spotted in Nashville Nov. 30 at, where else, a coffee spot! After all, being beautiful and famous takes lots of caffeine, right? We’ve got all the exclusive details about the lovebirds’ third public coffee date in the last week!

Swiftenhaal visited the Frothy Monkey Coffeehouse, a trendy hot spot for the artistic types in Nashville, earlier in the day Tuesday. “They very polite. It was lightning fast; they were not drawing attention to themselves but at the same time not avoiding it at all,” a witness tells Hollywoodlife.com. “They apparently have been there before but left and didn’t stay the first time. This time though they stayed and hung out.”

Good thing Taylor, 20, and Jake, 29 stuck around. It looked like they had lots to talk about.

“There wasn’t any kissing or anything, but there were bouts of touching and talking. They were in constant conversation and showed a vibe that really made it look like they were happy to be there,” the source says. “They were there a short time after they were done with their drinks. It appeared to be a start of a date rather then a meeting and go their separate ways situation. When they left they continued walking and didn’t have a car nearby.”

Chatting over coffee and a sweet little walk around Nashville? Sounds like the makings of another Taylor Swift hit!

“They were flirty and in a very good mood. They were left alone while there, which allowed them to just be themselves,” our source reveals. If letting their relationship bloom leads to another awesome tell-all album a’la Speak Now, we definitely approve of these coffee dates. If you need a song title, Swifty, we like “All Hopped Up On Your Caffeinated Love.”

Taylor Swift & Jake Gyllenhaal Spend Thanksgiving Together — Are They Moving Too Fast?

The hot new celebrity couple is spotted grabbing coffee in Brooklyn Thanksgiving morning after just a few weeks together! Is Taylor maybe headed towards another heartbreak?

Since first being spotted hanging backstage at Saturday Night Live Oct. 23, the relationship between Taylor Swift and Jake Gyllenhaal seems to be moving at lightening speed! Trips to London, ice cream in LA, and now news that they spent Thanksgiving together! People reports, “Around 10:30 a.m., the pair popped into Park Slope’s Gorilla Coffee for specialty maple lattes, made with pure Vermont syrup.” This seems to be one serious couple!

Jake’s sister Maggie Gyllenhaal lives in the neighborhood, meaning Taylor likely spent the holiday with the entire Gyllenhaal brood. As for their behavior at the shop, a source simply noted, “They were really sweet, really really sweet.”
