On the May 2 episode of ‘Bethenny Ever After,’ Bethenny Frankel competes in the finale of ‘Skating with the Stars’ and goes on a not so pleasant sleigh ride. It’s Christmas time in California!

On the second-to-last episode of Bethenny‘s hit Bravo show, the reality star gears up for her final routine on Skating with the Stars, but does she walk away with the trophy?

Once again, Bethenny and her ‘insane’ life entertain. As Jason arrives to California to watch his wife compete with her skating partner Ethan, Bethenny plans an outrageous Christimas, which includes ugly sweaters, tree shopping and not so jolly sleigh rides.

The whole family, including Bryn, Cookie and new nanny Dawa, head out in Santa hats to find the perfect Christmas tree in L.A. Of course, after looking for a while, the impatient Bethenny lets Dawa pick out the tree, which Jason has been intently searching for. As usual, Jason gives in to Bethenny’s pleas and cuts down the tree so thoughtfully picked out by Bryn’s new nanny.

Next stop, Bethenny, Jason and Cookie leave Bryn behind and hop on “Santa’s sleigh,” which happens to be a rusty old pick-up truck, for a ride around with an old man who calls himself Mr. Claus. “There is nothing jolly about this ride,” Bethenny exclaims, before comforting Jason who is afraid of heights. Let’s just say sleigh rides work much better with snow.

The Frankel-Hoppy clan participate in a few more Christmas traditions before getting Bethenny ready for her big show — the Skating with the Stars finale. Bethenny and Ethan skate the routine of their life, but sadly lose the crown to soap star Rebecca Budig. “Ethan is the only thing I’ll miss from Skating with the Stars,” Bethenny admits, making it clear she didn’t necessarily enjoy any other aspect of the show.

After returning home to NYC and going out on a “foodie date,” with her interesting friend Nick, Bethenny packs up the entire family and heads out on the Skinny Girl bus tour. And we must say, baby Bryn stole the show in here Sue Sylvester-esque red track suit that Bethenny referred to as the Skinny Girl look!

On the April 18 episode of “Bethenny Ever After,” Bethenny heads to L.A. for her debut appearance on “Skating With The Stars” in the midst of preparing to host Thanksgiving dinner with Jason’s family.

Talk about stress — Bethenny Frankel seems to be the queen of it. And on last night’s episode of her Bravo show, the Skinny Girl had another melt down, this time over a raw Thanksgiving turkey that brought up a lot of past issues.

The episode begins happy as Bethenny prepares to skate for the first time in front of a live audience on Skating With The Stars. And being the perfectionist that she is, Bethenny won’t settle for anything less than a stellar routine with her pro-partner Ethan.

But good times turn bad when Bethenny’s baby nurse Gina tells the already stressed out mom that she can no longer work for her. She had been dealing with health issues and it was discovered that she needed surgery. Gina, who has been with baby Bryn since she was born 5 weeks premature, is devastated to leave the family she loves. And they are just as devastated to lose her.

So, Bethenny, Jason and Bryn head to L.A. without Gina to prepare for Bethenny’s ice debut. And throughout the whole trip, Bethenny tries to convince Jason that they should move to sunny Cali and leave New York behind. But family man Jason just doesn’t see that happening. Guess we’ll have to wait and see…

But moving aside, Bethenny does an amazing job on Skating With The Stars and works it on the ice with Ethan, but they do get some harsh criticism, which pisses Bethenny off. Maybe this is the reason Thanksgiving just doesn’t go so well…at all.

Bethenny, a natural-born cook, prepares Thanksgiving dinner for her friends and Jason’s family, but due to a broken oven — the turkey never cooks and comes out raw. “Im sure everyone around me was walking on egg shells when the turkey was raw,” Bethenny says. And she was right!

The whole thing brings up a lot of issues concerning Bethenny’s mom and dad and the childhood she was never able to appreciate. Her therapist tells her she needs to let go of trying to be “perfect.”

Bethenny Frankel’s Twitter followers got an adorable little treat yesterday when the 40-year-old tweeted out a picture of her daughter, saying, “This is the only thing that matters…” Look at how big Bryn, 7 months, has gotten! And with those big blue eyes, she looks just like her daddy, Jason Hoppy!

Right before she posted the photo, Bethenny also tweeted, “I’m changing the holiday name to ‘kissmas’ bc all I want to do is give my family kisses all day.” How sweet!

Bethenny unfortunately lost on the season finale of ABC’s Skating With the Stars this week, but it seems like she’s pretty OK with it as long as she has her husband and daughter by her side.

Let’s hope Bethenny posts more pictures of her little girl in her Christmas outfits!

Some television stars are paid money to reenact emotionally devastating scenes or gruesome situations, and then there are the ones who are paid to sit around and drink, whine and judge. Whereas America used to tune into the fun loving cast of Friends, we now have the cast of the Jersey Shore, who decided they needed to be making at least $30,000 an episode to drunkenly embarrass themselves. • Nene Leakes: The Real Housewives of Atlanta is a diva packed cast, but if there is one standout it is good old Nene. She doesn’t take slack from anyone, and does not sit by quietly when she feels she has been offended. Be it on-again off-again pal Kim Zolciak or her own husband, Nene is never shy to tell it how it is and back it up.
• Bethenny Frankel: From being a wifeless housewife to hocking her line of tasteless low calorie goods, Bethenny has always found a way to promote her “brand.” Her latest step, being a contestant on America’s favorite disaster program – Skating With the Stars. Only Bethenny has decided she does not care what the judges say, which is mostly that she’s awful, and instead says she is skating for America. America wants you to know Bethenny, we agree with the judges.
• Teresa Giudice: Living her lavish life, by way of New Jersey, Teresa showed that it takes neither class nor money to enjoy the finer things in life — be it Italian trips, eight foot tall vases or endless shopping trips with your ever growing pack of daughters. • Johnny Weir: The flamboyant figure skater brought his blend of overly dramatic diva antics to not one, not two, but three reality programs this year. First up, the Olympics, where after two seemingly perfect skates her incomprehensibly failed to medal. Then, he took center stage on his own Sundance program, Be Good Johnny Weir, where he bathed with BFF Paris and extolled the virtues of Balenciaga bags and male make-up. Finally, he closed it all out with his stint as a judge on Skating With the Stars and let Bethenny have it on episode four — and it is safe to say this diva definitely OWNED that diva.

After Brandon Smith was rushed to the hospital Dec. 6 for a horrible stomach virus and trouble breathing, he is officially off the show with the sickness he can’t kick!

What a bummer! Skating with the Stars will be down one less star — and it’s not because of a nationwide vote, but rather due to a sickness that Brandon Smith can’t get over!

The 21-year-old Sonny with a Chance star got a horrible stomach virus last week and is now off of the show for good.

His reps told HollywoodLife.com:

We are sad to report that Brandon Mychal Smith will not be skating tonight and will be departing from the show due to illness. While he was able to return to practice last week after being taken to the hospital for a stomach virus, the show’s sponsored doctor has advised him that he should not skate tonight as he is still sick. While Brandon is less than thrilled by the news, he does not want to put his partner, himself, or the show at any risk. Brandon will be on tonight’s show to say goodbye to his fans and his cast mates.

Brandon was one of the top competitors on the new show and was expected to do very well. We hope he gets better and is back to work in no time!

Chopped up fingers! Vomiting skaters being rushed to the hospital! Is ‘Skating With the Stars’ finally getting interesting?

It’s time for another fun week of Skating With the Stars were we learned Bethenny Frankel has no rhythm, everyone on this show is on course to suffer some major injury and Vince Neil reaffirmed the fact that white men can not, in fact, jump.

Dressed as what I must assume was a UPS man Vince took to the ice as a man on a mission. Not quite sure what the mission was and it likely should have been aborted before it even began, but hey he didn’t fall this week! He did however jump about an inch off the ice and did look much more natural than Bethenny. Sadly this was not enough and Vincey went home. It’s for the better though dude, people are dying on this ice.

Oh, Bethenny, you are one clunky skater. I mean, you keep trying your best though and skating for America. You are the only one there who even loosely fits this “star” definition they seem to be casually throwing around so I am sure you are good through to the finals.

Jonny Moseley is straight up trying to murder his skating partner. Did you see their practice footage? He kept tripping and slamming the girl up. Then, he actually skated across her hand and almost took off her finger. Girl, what are you doing there still? You need to get out and find some nice tour of “Disney on Ice” before you leave there looking like an extra from The Walking Dead.

Rebecca Budig was again super boring because she’s an awesome skater and I kind of felt like I was watching an actual figure skating pair. I guess if there is no possibility of imminent death or permenant injury the performance loses a bit of its luster.

Then there is poor, poor Brandon Mychal Smith. The kid gets a stomach bug, vomits everywhere and THEY SHOWED THE FOOTAGE! “Oh, um, hey man, sorry you seem to be dying but can we just get this on film to show the national audience?”

The judges instead watched Brandon’s taped practice from the day before which was pretty good so assuming he does not in fact perish between now and next Monday we can all look forward to seeing him again. Especially since I think his partner is one of The Misfits from Jem which makes her infinitely more interesting to watch.

Bethenny’s estranged mother tells us Bethenny took ice skating lessons as a child!

Reality superstar Bethenny Frankel hasn’t fared too well on the first few episodes of ABC’s Skating with the Stars, and estranged mother Bernadette Birk suspects she’s doing that on purpose! “Bethenny has always had an agenda,” Bernadette tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively. “She couldn’t be that clumsy if she tried! And this is a person that lived on skates as a child.”

Bethenny’s skating experience dates back her childhood, Bernadette says. Bethenny took ice skating lessons as a child and used roller blades as her primary mode of transportation while attending college in New York City.

Plus, as her mother points out, she was on The Real Housewives Of New York City‘s Halloween episode, flying around a party on a pair of roller skates with a drink in her hand. Bethenny also attended an event at a roller skating rink where she was looked comfortable as can be on a pair of skates.

Bernadette has been estranged from Bethenny for about 20 years and doesn’t claim to know much about the current Bethenny, but she does say, “I know she can skate, and I know she is physically fit more than anyone can imagine. So it has nothing to do with physicality. She has had every private lesson in the world and she had the best skates. I know she is not that bad on skates, not unless there is a reason.”
