On Jan. 28 at the NRJ Showcase in Paris, France, 23-year-old Taylor Swift donned glittering oxfords that sparkled in the spotlight — and they were certainly were the center of attention that night. They added just enough glitz to her dark wardrobe choice for that evening. The star was back to her feminine sense of style, and the shoes added the perfect amount of sparkle.

Taylor stepped out in a feminine McGinn coat with gold buttons on the cuffs and paired that with simple black leggings. Under the coat, she rocked a black short-sleeved Jason Wu sweater with a white embellished collar. Her neutral makeup tones and lighter features were the perfect contrast against the dark pieces. She went with bold blonde bangs and loose curls that fell perfectly around the delicate neckline.

Even though she opted for a more simple yet feminine get-up, she dressed it up with her sparkling oxfords — they really added a fun vibe to the ensemble! Taylor is a huge fan of oxfords, and we’ve seen her rock her sparkling pair on stage — but she proves that they look great for everyday dressing, too!

We’re not the only ones who loved Taylor’s incredible fashion sense and performance. Her fans seem to appreciate everything she has to offer. On Twitter, she posted, “Thank you to all the fans in France and Spain for making this trip so lovely. Headed back to America now!”

She asked, “Is the skinny jean gone for good?” We chatted with celebrity stylist Taylor Jacobson who weighed in on the situation.

Taylor Jacobson, celebrity stylist responsible for the looks of Kate Beckinsale and Ashley Benson, to name a few answered: “No matter what the skinny jean is never going away. It might be played out and people are sick of it, but it’s a staple in your wardrobe. You need a skinny jean, especially if you’re trying to balance out over-sized tops — you don’t want to wear something big on top and big on the bottom! The skinny jean looks great with a chunky, yummy sweater for fall. Remember, you don’t want to do big on top and big on the bottom — then you’re just gonna look fat!”

If you are looking forward to embracing the flared trend, don’t expect to throw on a ballerina flat with your flares the way you did with your skinnies! The same reader asked, “Is it totally impossible to wear a flat with flares? What shoes should I wear?” Taylor responded: “It’s really hard. They come so long straight from factory or designer that you’re forced to wear them with a heel. If you’re lucky and you’re naturally tall you can wear them with flats, but then I suggest wearing something fitted on top so you don’t look schlumpy. Flares are really cute but if they aren’t styled right they can look dumpy,” she said.

So what’s your best bet? “I would wear them with a wedge, honestly it depends but your best bet is to pair them with something super high like a platform pump or wedge, something chunky balances out the look and is also a bit more comfortable.”

Do you think it’s totally crazy that Tom & Katie feed their little girl’s shoe addiction like that?

We knew Suri Cruise loves shoes, but this is ridiculous! Star magazine is reporting that Suri, 5, has amassed an outrageous $150,000 shoe collection, and mom Katie Holmes does whatever it takes to ger little girl the designer pairs she wants.

“Suri is … a massive fan of Marc Jacobs and she’s had several shoes custom-made, so if they didn’t come with a heel, Katie had them redesigned for Suri,” a source tells the mag. “She commissioned a pair of Louboutins for her a while back!”

The 5-year-old is so obsessed with heels, in fact, that she reportedly “cries if Katie reaches for anything but a little pair of sandals with some sort of heel.”

“Suri’s desire to wear heels, in some way she is trying to be like her
mother,” child psychiatrist Dr. Susan Abbott tells HollyBaby.com. “Most children try to emulate adults.”

And child psychologist Dr. Lawrence Balter agrees, although he believes kids need restrictions when it comes to things like clothes and shoes — even if they are celebrity kids.

“Children often cry if they do not get what they want, but parents need
to explain why certain things might be necessary and others might not
be,” he explains to HollyBaby.com. “It sounds like she is a miniature Imelda Marcos.”

Practically everywhere I go, I can’t get enough of the adorable summer sandals and fun frocks in store windows — it’s hard to even think about what I’ll want to wear come fall! However, after seeing a slew of stylish shoes, funky accessories, and bright lingerie at Betsey Johnson‘s fall accessories preview, I couldn’t keep it all to myself!
