As One Tree Hill‘s series finale inches closer and closer — it’s literally seven days away now — the residents of Tree Hill burned their failures and burdens at the town’s Burning Boat Festival.

Clay (Robert Buckley) got the “aww”s rolling by giving Logan (Pierce Gagnon) the perfect room, complete with airplanes, comic books and even a view of the ocean for his first sleepover. But Logan hadn’t quite conquered his fear of the body of water filled with sharks, jellyfish and sea monsters. (I think he was really scared of the ocean because his dad had basically been drowned by Dan Scott twice in the same ocean). Clay hoped out to experience a milestone with his son by getting him into the water for the first time, but it was Quinn (Shantel VanSanten) who had the breakthrough with Logan.

After a long day’s work, Clay, Quinn and Logan retired to their tent — yes, a tent in the middle of the living room — where Clay finally proposed! He didn’t have a ring just yet, but don’t worry: Logan was there to save the day with his power ring! Be still, my beating heart.

Meanwhile, Mouth (Lee Norris) continued to make a complete turn around — seriously, he’s skinny and has abs now — Millie (Lisa Goldstein) looked for a new co-anchor so her boyfriend could focus on his true love: sports. After one total failure, Skills (Antwon Tanner) stepped up to the plate and hit a home run! Meanwhile, Haley (Bethany Joy Galeotti) broke the exciting news to Chase (Stephen Colletti) that Karen was willing to sell him the bar, the only place he ever truly called home.

Julian (Austin Nichols) was busy preparing for a meeting to get his television series approved, and after reading Brooke’s (Sophia Bush) diary for inspiration, his script was accepted! Brooke still struggled with her past, and it even came back to haunt her when she walked in on her mother with “doing someone in the middle of the day” hair — and that “someone” turned out to be Brooke’s dad! After having a few words with Julian, Ted (Richard Burgi) and Victoria (Daphne Zuniga) decided to join their daughter as co-owners of Baker Man. Needless to say, Brooke didn’t even recognize these people as her parents. And this is a good thing.

This episode was beautifully directed by Sophia Bush, who provided us with a little bit of comedy to ease our pain for the next week.

The designer always sends gorgeous gowns down the runway — and we were up close, experiencing it all in the very front row!

We saw so many covetable looks at New York Fashion Week, but one of my fave shows of the week was, (and always is), Jenny Packham! The designer’s intricate detailing, flattering silhouettes and embellished gowns were a hit on the runway, meaning it’s only a matter of time before we see them on the red carpet! We took in the spring 2012 show, from the very front row, right next to one of our favorite Fashion Week fixtures Shantel VanSanten. From the embellished minis to the flowing chiffon, there wasn’t a look I didn’t love — experience the whole show here, in this quick, under-a-minute clip!

One Tree Hill fans, Shantel VanSanten is just as excited as we are for the show’s upcoming final season, which she promises will have “lots of mystery and lots of drama.” HollywoodLife.com caught up with Ms. Quinn James at the BCBG Spring 2012 show Sept. 8 during New York Fashion Week for the scoop on season nine!

Ready? OK, here’s everything Shantel told us:

On Chad Michael Murray and Hilarie Burton:

“[Chad] comes back for an episode, and I actually get to work with him. I think it’ll be cool because then I’ll get to say I’ve worked with almost everybody, with Tyler [Hilton] coming back and a bunch of other people. Except Hilarie [Burton], I don’t think Hilarie will be coming back.”

On what fans can expect from season nine:

“A lot of mystery and a lot of drama! But I hope [it ends happily.] That’s obviously an ultimate dream of mine, but you never know with Mark [Schwahn]. I think everybody has a lot of drama and a lot of stuff going on in their lives. I’m so involved in everybody’s story lines, not like in other years. … It’s been interesting.”

On the secrecy surrounding the season’s biggest story lines:

“They’re not telling us anything this year. I find things out episode by episode when I get the script, which is really cool because it’s like a mystery novel. It makes me anticipate the scripts even more. I feel like Mark’s giving it everything and the fans are not going to be disappointed.”

On the set’s vibe, while filming the final season:

“It’s like coming back after Christmas break senior year. Everybody’s happy and excited, and just grateful to be finishing it off like this.”

On Brooke and Julian’s twins:

“They’re so cute! There are so many kids on set. We’re all going to be awesome parents after this season, because we all have to work with babies.”

I feel like I had a real Thanksgiving tonight. Granted, my family members were replaced by the sexy, emotional creatures of Tree Hill, so there was slightly more drama involved. There was a friendly game of touch football… but it ended in a fist fight between Alex (Jana Kramer) and Mia (Kate Voegele); there was a ridiculous spread of food… but most of it came in the form of alcohol; and there was the long-awaited return of a family member, Quinn (Shantel VanSanten)… but she might also be a murderer! Yup, only slightly more drama than normal.

Jailbird Victoria (Daphne Zuniga) crashed Thanksgiving at the James-Scott household, which put her in the same room as Brooke (Sophia Bush) for the first time since their heated prison confrontation. As you can imagine, the results were… not fantastic. As a matter of fact, Millie (Lisa Goldstein) had to quickly grab the carving knife from Brooke’s reach as soon as Victoria stepped through the door. I guess we’re back to the Brooke-Victoria frienemy-ship we first saw in season five.

Meanwhile, Skills (Antwon Tanner) is apparently still very much into cougars, as he immediately eyed Julian’s (Austin Nichols) mom (Sharon Lawrence) as his prey. Apparently his fling with Deb was just the start of a serious old lady fetish. I’m kind of bummed they didn’t hook up — but hey, there’s always the wedding!

I will say, I’m super disappointed with Erin’s story line — mostly because it’s barely a story line. I’ve had my doubts about her ever since we met her (an unidentified co-worker of mine is still convinced she’s a man with the hots for Haley.) We finally found her “deep, dark” secret tonight, and it turned out to be that her parents “didn’t believe in her music.” Seriously. That’s it? So much for my dreams of a psycho for season eight. (Wait, is Katie still out there?)

I’m also already yawning at the idea of Nathan (James Lafferty) going back to school. I wasn’t crazy about him dropping basketball (PUN!) and becoming a sports agent. I’m not sure if I can handle him with a backpack.

Fortunately, Quinn might be plotting something that would seriously kick this show back into gear. When I said she might be a murder I wasn’t kidding — just speculating. She’s back from Africa, and in the episode’s final moments, we learned she’s been following around trigger-happy Katie and playing paparazzi. Will she take back that gun and take Katie out for the sake of herself and Clay (Robert Buckley?) I’m thinking hoping yes!

Even though it may be over a 100 degrees in LA these girls couldn’t wait to show off fun fall looks on the red carpet for Arcade Boutique’s Autumn Party in West Hollywood at the London Hotel on Sept. 29. There were a ton of sexy minis in dark hues like black and navy, but the girl who really stole the show last night was Demi Lovato — from her dress to her hair and makeup I thought she looked absolutely stunning!

I don’t usually have a strong opinion of Demi’s style but last night she really blew me away — not only did she channel the edgy diva look she loves but she also managed to look super chic and feminine! I also liked Shantel VanSanten‘s conservative chic sheath. With ruffle detailing at the hip and standout accessories (like her colorful earrings) the One Tree Hill star and her versatile sense of style are really starting to stand out when she steps out — it’s always refreshing to see someone switch up their look on the red carpet!

Also in attendance was Paris Hilton and her sis Nicky. Nicky Hilton and Jenna Dewan must’ve been on the same wavelength last night, considering they both opted for the same exact long sleeved mini in different colors! While I like how Nicky added a leopard clutch to her look, her sister Paris was definitely at the bottom of my best dressed list– she just didn’t seem put together. Everything about Paris appeared cheesy in my opinion, but what did you think? Who was best dressed last night?

The best way to update your wardrobe for the new season is with a pair of over-the-knee boots — while we saw them last winter, this fall they seem to be everywhere I look, from the red carpet to the sidewalk! You can wear them on your date night or out with friends with a sexy mini or dress like Shantel Vansanten and Kim Kardashian or you can dress up a pair of jeans or leggings like Hilary Duff and Kourtney Kardashian.

I used to think I didn’t have enough height to pull off the look, but seeing a slew of stars of all heights working the trend made me think twice. Check out our picks below if you want to get the look for less, just in time for the weekend!

After rushing around from show to show I was looking forward to the alice + olivia presentation on Sept. 14 — not only does Stacey Bendet have a knack for creating covetable clothing, but she also knows how to throw a party!

Models stood showing off the clothes and guests enjoyed a performance by Amanda Blank and The Pierces and Caitlin Moe & Mia Moretti while Cobra Starship served as the deejays for the night. alice + olivia fans Elisabeth Moss, Katrina Bowden, Denise Richards, Shantel VanSanten, Nicky Hilton, Katie Cassidy, Shontelle, Johnny Weir, Nina Garcia, and Kelly Bensimon posed for photos before mingling with the crowd and checking out the latest collection.

There were fun flirty frocks, sequins, and ruffles — the things we’ve come to love from the line — along with new additions, like the soft green strapless tiered gown and an amazing pair of high wasted orange pants. My favorites always seem to be the dresses and the skirts — there’s something about alice + olivia clothing that instantly puts you in a good mood when you throw on one of the pieces, and it looks like the same can be said about the latest collection! The eighth season premiere has the best ending ever. If you haven’t watched, don’t read on because I’m totally going to spoil it for you.

None of my friends believe me, but The CW’s One Tree Hill can be really good. At its best, it’s car crashes and school shootings and psycho murderers on prom night. The Sept. 14 season premiere comes vaguely close to that with a clever mixture of the show’s trademark romantic gobbledigook and the best twist ending ever!

Ready? OK, so for the entire hour we’re led to believe that Clay (Robert Buckley) only dreamt that he and Quinn (Shantel VanSanten) got shot, and it’s very disappointing. But in the last two minutes, they both start bleeding from their bullet wounds and we see that their bodies are definitely still laying in pools of blood at Clay’s house.

I’m also really into Brooke’s storyline. Her cougar mom (Daphne Zuniga) and assistant-turned-model-turned-president Millicent (Lisa Goldstein) lied to investors so now their whole company has lost its “integrity.” Sophia gives an Emmy-worthy speech about integrity that rivals her tirade about journalism ethics after the school shooting in season three:

Aside from all that, there’s way too much of 7 or 8 or 9-year-old Jamie — who I’m pretty sure has a mullet now. He has a bunch of awkward conversations with mom Haley (Bethany Joy Galeotti) about sex and it makes me miss the days when the kids were all slutty and… not parents.

Other things worth appreciating in the premiere:

1. Brooke, who is physically unable to get pregnant but will undoubtedly conceive before the series finale, calls Haley, who announces that she’s pregnant with her second child, a “selfish baby-haver.” I chuckled.
2. Brooke throws Millicent’s several-episode cocaine addiction back in her face in a hilarious manner. (“Hey, that’s not fair,” Millicent shrugs.)
3. Nathan tells Jamie not to say “retarded.” It’s a really nice thing for the writers to put in there. I’m sure Jennifer Aniston would disagree.
4. It’s nice to see Stephen Colletti has finally moved on from Lauren Conrad.
5. And finally… Julian, as a way to make Brooke fertile, offers to “romance her ovaries.”
