The CMT Music Awards are one of the biggest nights for country music stars and the red carpet reflected their glamour tonight!

Beautiful stars like Carrie Underwood, Ashley Greene, Lauren Alaina and more walked the red carpet before the show. Kristen Bell already had people laughing in interviews before she joined Toby Keith to host the event in Nashville. Scotty McCreery wore a lot of denim and a smile and Jordin Sparks glowed in pink. It’s no secret that Jennifer Lopez is unsure of whether she will return to American Idol as a judge next year. It’s also no secret that we would miss her greatly, should she decide not to return. But what does reigning champ, Scotty McCreery, have to say about it?

HollywoodLife.com got to talk to the 18-year-old crooner last night, after he returned to perform on the stage that made him a star. When asked what he thought about the situation, he said, “I love her on the show. I’d hate to see her go.”

Reminiscing about his time as a contestant, he continued, “I was on her guinea pig season and it was cool having her out here…but whatever happen, happens.”

Should the rumors prove true and Jenny From The Block really not return, Scotty isn’t worried about her.

“She’s got a lot going for her, so she’ll be fine,” he said.

Poor, Scotty McCreery! Even though lip syncing has become pretty widely accepted, especially on live broadcasts, the 18-year-old American Idol winner missed his cue during the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and his voice started playing before he even had the mic to his mouth.

After the MC announced his song, Scotty smiled and in that brief moment, his single, “The Trouble With Girls,” started playing…complete with his voice. Unfortunately, he hadn’t even started singing yet. Yikes!

American Idol winner Scotty McCreery is one of the first Idol finalists to actually do well in the mainstream market since Carrie Underwood! The now 18-year-old singer’s first album, Clear As Day, debuted at Number 1 on the Billboard 200 when it was released in early October, which makes him the first country male singer to have such an honor. Are YOU impressed?

“My hopes were just to go out there and have fun and let people know that the album was out there,” Scotty said about the album. “Everybody hopes for the number one, but you never really expect it. To see it up there is pretty incredible.”

As the second youngest Idol winner behind Jordin Sparks, Scotty has had quite a ride since finishing the show in May. A week before his album dropped, Brad Paisley asked Scotty to tour with him in 2012.

It should probably come as no surprise to you all that I’m a huge Charice fan. Not just because she’s funny, or adorable, or because we both love the color orange. I’m a fan because, as Oprah Winfrey put it, she’s “the most talented girl in the world.” Billboard doesn’t seem to agree with me, however, as they’ve released their annual list of the hottest 21 musicians under 21 — and Charice is nowhere to be found.

Granted, most of the performers on their list totally deserve to be there. Selena Gomez (No. 3); Tyler, the Creator (No. 2); and Justin Bieber (No. 1) have all made irrefutable marks on the music industry.

But other choices have me — and I assume millions of bummed-out Chasters — totally confused. Like 19-year-old Korean pop star HyunA, formerly a member of the K-pop group Wonder Girls, who only appeared to make the list because she released a video deemed “too sexy” for Korean TV. (Like I’ve never done that…)

And American Idol “winner” Scotty McCreery? Don’t even get me started.

In the past year, Charice has released several successful singles — including “One Day,” co-produced by Nick Jonas (who’s No. 8 on this year’s list) — and made several appearances on Glee, one of the biggest shows in the country.

Am I alone in my confusion?

Scotty McCreery‘s debut single shot up to the #1 spot on iTunes by 10:35am the morning after winning American Idol, but even that lightning-fast rise on the charts is nothing compared to The Voice‘s Dia Frampton! Thanks to social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter, The Voice contestants are already reaching worldwide fame. The show’s use of technology to connect with fans and get viewer input is unlike any other show — and may even create bigger stars than Idol.Dia’s original song, “Inventing Shadows” skyrocketed to the #1 spot on iTunes by 11:13pm Tuesday night, JUST after the show finished airing in Los Angeles and only three hours after it’s airing on the East Coast! Keep in mind Dia’s still competing against Beverly McClellan, Javier Colon, and Vicci Martinez for the win, she’s not even necessarily the victor and she gained that much popularity.

And it’s not just 23-year-old Dia rising on the iTunes charts. Fan favorite Javier’s song “Stitch by Stitch” also soared to the top 5 on iTunes, and hit #2 early this morning. Viewers can vote for their favorite contestant by downloading their song on iTunes and last night, 8 out of the top 16 songs on iTunes were by an artist or contestant featured on the show. That being said, because downloads count as votes, that could be a reason Scotty (and Lauren Alaina who followed him up and took the second spot) took longer than Dia to get to the top.

But voting isn’t the only way viewers connect with the show. Coaches Blake Shelton, Christina Aguilera, Cee-Lo Green, and Adam Levine tweet to their army of Twitter followers throughout the show — and, boy, do they tweet back! As Mashable reports, The Voice fields 4000 tweets per minute during the show, some of which make it onto TV. It is common for every single performer to trend on Twitter worldwide during the tapings, and for their songs to trend as well.

In just its first season, stars of The Voice seem to be shooting to fame faster than American Idol stars from the 10th season.

Lauren implies she and Scotty may be a couple, but Scotty seems quick to shoot those rumors down!

Scotty McCreery and Lauren Alaina had millions questioning whether they were a couple when Lauren gave Scotty a big kiss following his win on American Idol May 26, and it seems like even the two of them are confused about their relationship. When ET asked Lauren if she was dating Scotty, she coyly said: “he might be my boyfriend…ask him.” His response?

Scotty bluntly said he’s “still single.” Sorry Lauren.

Scotty then went on to say the two have “gotten really close, but I don’t know about the more than friends stuff.”
