It may not have been a messy divorce that caused a rift between Nicole Kidman and her two children, Isabella and Connor Cruise, following the actress’ split from Tom Cruise in 2001. Turns out, it was Scientology!
According to a shocking new report in Vanity Fair, Isabella and Connor were “instructed” by Scientology elders to reject their mother after she was branded a “Suppressive Person” following her departure from the Church.

“The central problem [in the marriage] was Nicole did not want to deal with Scientology,” former Scientologist Marty Rathbun explained.

“They rejected Nicole — they’d been instructed,” echoed John Brousseau, another former Scientologist.

John claims that Isabella and Connor were forced to take a course called Potential Trouble Source/Suppressive Person [P.T.S./S.P.] for people in their lives who are an S.P.”

[Bella and Connor] whispered to me, “J.B., Nicole is an S.P.! Our mom’s an S.P. — we hate going and seeing her,’” he revealed.

Though the Church of Scientology denies that Nicole was ever considered a “S.P.” and calls the Vanity Fair article “hogwash,” this is not the first time that former members have claimed that the Church tried to create distance between Nicole and her two children.

“[A Scientology member] told them over and over again their mother was a sociopath, and after a while they believed him,” Marty previously told The Hollywood Reporter. “They had daily sessions. I was there. I saw it.”

It’s widely believed that Katie Holmes decided to divorce Tom Cruise because he planned to send Suri Cruise, 6, to Scientology school — but Tom begs to differ. Sources close to the über Scientologist reveal to TMZ that “[Katie] was totally committed to [Scientology].” They believe “this is not a fight over religion. It’s being used as a way to hurt Tom.”

The source also alleges that Katie is trying to keep Tom away from Suri at the moment, but that he’s made an effort to communicate with his daughter at least once every day. Regardless of what happens next, the source says the real reason why Katie filed for divorce will soon be made public.

The religion has come under attack from critics who claim it’s a cult — but the actress insists, ‘I don’t know if I would have made it through’ without her faith!

Kelly Preston and John Travolta turned to Scientology to help them cope with their grief after 16-year-old Jett died suddenly after suffering a seizure during a family vacation in the Bahamas in 2009.

During a new interview with Health magazine, Kelly, 48 credits the religion with helping her get through the toughest period of her life.

“To be honest, [it was] the Scientology Center,” She says. “I don’t know if I would have made it through without it.”

Kelly — who has been a Scientologist for more than 20 years — claims the tragedy helped her put her life into perspective: “Don’t sweat the small things. Love your kids like it could be the last moment.”

A little joy returned to the Preston-Travolta household last November when Kelly gave birth to baby Benjamin — a little brother for their 11-year-old daughter Ella Bleu.

And Kelly reveals the couple had been trying to add to their brood “for quite a few years.”She adds, “When I found out I was pregnant, I was floored. I’d snuck out of bed and then came back and woke Johnny up in bed. We both started crying. It was wonderful.”

“I’ve always wanted to be a mother, ever since I was 11. I was doing commercials for thousands of dollars, but I’d still babysit for $3 an hour just because I loved it.”

There’s no doubt Kelly’s a great mom!

Shocking new allegations claim both of Tom’s adopted kids are rebelling against the religion!

Tom Cruise has remained a controversial figure thanks to his embrace of Scientology, but new reports suggest the religion is tearing apart the bond between him and his kids!Tom, 48, has been a longtime advocate for the Church of Scientology, and it’s often speculated his involvement and Nicole Kidman‘s disbelief lead to their 2001 divorce. But now The Daily is reporting Isabella, Tom’s 18-year-old adopted daughter with Nicole, is so turned off by the religion that she has moved out of her father’s house, where he lives with his wife Katie Holmes!

Former high-ranking Scientologist Marty Rathbun tells The Daily that Isabella, 18, now lives with Nicole, 43, “because of her issues with Scientology.” Furthermore, the ex-couple’s other adopted son, 16-year-old Connor, is becoming disillusioned with the religion as well, mainly because he was told to “cut off a young friend who had left Scientology.”

A publicist for Tom has denied all of the reports.

We’re sure we’ll hear plenty more about this story as it develops, but it seems crazy the family could be torn apart by this! We wonder how 5-year-old Suri will react to the religion as she gets older!

Suri has the final say on all her birthday plans, from the theme down to the frosting on the cake, and her parents wouldn’t have it any other way. I don’t know about this…

I get that Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise want “to make Suri happy” on her 5th birthday, but seriously — a whole month dedicated to party planning meetings, cake demands, and pre-celebration temper tantrums? 4-year-old Suri has way to much control over the Cruise clan.

“Her birthday is my favorite day of the year and I like to dedicate April to her birthday,” Katie told Jimmy Kimmel on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night (April 4). “It’s a big day.”

First off, I get that Suri is your daughter, Katie, but your FAVORITE day?

“She really helps plan her party because I want her to be happy and so she wants her friends to come over, and a slumber party,” Katie explains. “So we make lists and we have meetings and she picks out things and she wants to make the cake together and frost it together.”

OK, that’s cute, but still, it sounds like Suri’s a teeny bit demanding. (Especially for a little girl who still uses a pacifier and drinks from a bottle).

“There have been times when I’ve kind of done it all and she’s like ‘This isn’t the cake’ or whatever and I say, ‘OK, we’re going to do it together.’ And she’s really very, very good at it.” Good at what? Getting her way?

“We had a barbeque yesterday and she decorated the whole kids table and she made name cards for all the little girls,” Katie says. “It’s really sweet, I don’t want to stop that.”

I think it’s wonderful that Suri wants to plan her party, but she’s literally taking over! If my child ever told me that the cake I made “was not the cake” he/she wanted and told me I had to redo it, I don’t think I would be OK with that. Would you, HollyMoms?

Is this some sort of Scientology thing or is Suri just simply spoiled? No kid needs a month of birthday celebrations every year, it’s just unnecessary.

Suri Cruise’s grandparents are concerned about the effect Tom’s religion is having on her, Life & Style is reporting.

Scientologists believe that children should be treated like adults and allowed to make their own decisions, so that’s how Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are raising their daughter, Suri, 4. Well, maybe that explains why in recent weeks we’ve seen Suri out of bed for 1 a.m. dinners, playing with penis-shaped candies, drinking from a bottle, and still being allowed to use a pacifier at nearly five-years-old! Katie’s Midwestern parents, Martin and Kathleen, “are really upset,” an insider tells Life & Style.“They’re very worried that Tom isn’t letting Suri enjoy the childhood she deserves because of his Scientology beliefs.”

“Suri often throws temper tantrums when she’s out with Katie and Tom,” the insider says. And when Suri throws a tantrum, her parents give her whatever she wants. An eyewitness tells Life & Style that during one of those late-night trip to Serendipity restaurant in NYC on March 15, Katie and a nanny couldn’t get Suri into her car seat. “As always, Suri won and didn’t have to sit in her car seat,” says the witness.

So are Katie’s parents right? Is this a symptom of Scientology? Or is Suri just plain spoiled?

The Travolta’s swear Scientology’s strange no-noise deliveries are the best way to birth peaceful tots.

After years and years of trying to conceive, Kelly Preston and John Travolta finally have their little miracle child, 8-week-old Benjamin, who’s the spitting image of his daddy! “We just saw a picture of John when he was an infant, Jetty too, and they’re exactly the three same pictures,” Kelly, 48, says in an interview with Today‘s Natalie Morales about the Travolta men.

Even John says Ben is his clone!

“It’s so wonderful to be bringing another child into the world and look at things through his eyes and he’s so innocent and just so sweet,” Kelly says of baby Ben. “He’s just peaceful and gentle and very present.” And Kelly strongly believes that practicing Scientology’s silent birth is the reason for his calm nature, as well as her daughter Ella, 10, and late son Jett’s serene personalities. “It’s just bringing them in, in as peaceful and gentle a way as possible,” Kelly explains of silent birth, saying that it is all related to the child’s reactive mind and the senses of stress, fear and worry. “I’m blessed…my kids have always been amazing, calm and peaceful, happy. I absolutely know it’s pretty much because of that.” Do you agree that keeping quite during the delivery helps make super-chill children?

All these celebs are expecting babies this year!

Now, Kelly and John feel complete and are so thankful to have their baby boy. “I just think any time you get pregnant at this age, it is a miracle,” Kelly says of her wish coming true. “We’re just so fortunate.”

So much for smooth sailing on the Cruise home-front. Tom Cruise and his wife Katie Holmes are in a bitter battle over 4-year-old Suri‘s education. Tom wants her to be home-schooled like his older children Connor, 16, and Isabella, 18, but Katie is pushing for Suri to attend a private school. Will this fight cause more rifts in their stormy four year marriage?

“Suri turns 5-years-old in April and her official Scientology education is about to begin, but deciding on how to go about it has suddenly turned into one of the biggest crises of Tom and Katie’s entire relationship,” an insider tells the National Enquirer. Tom, 48, who hopped around from school to school while he was growing up — attending eight elementary schools and three high schools — doesn’t want Suri to have the same experience. “Tom doesn’t have happy memories of school life,” says the source, “and he loved how home-schooling worked out or Connor and Bella. He doesn’t think Suri should be treated any differently. “

Maybe Suri will go to fashion school when she’s older?

On the other hand, Katie, 32, had a more traditional education at an all-girls Catholic school, Notre Dame Academy in Toledo, Ohio. “Katie was a straight-A student,” says the insider. “She wants the same kind of experience for her daughter, even if it can’t be in a Catholic school.” But, there might be a light at the end of the tunnel. According to the source, the couple’s pals Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith want Suri to attend the private elementary school they founded that uses Scientology philosophy and methods in lesson plans.

Tom is having triple trouble with his kids!

“It seems like it could be a good compromise,” the insider adds, “but if the solution isn’t found soon, it’s not certain their marriage will survive.” Do you think the Cruises’ marriage will fall apart over Suri’s schooling? What should they do?
