There’s nothing worse than hearing someone tried to get sex done as quickly as possible. Such is the case for Sam Riley, who revealed that he felt very uncomfortable during his sex scenes with On The Road co-star Kristen Stewart.

“You achieve a comfort level by pretending. We both have partners, and we were friendly. I’m not actually comfortable doing that sort of thing because I was feeling guilty because she was like, 19, and I was 30. I’m actually more comfortable doing psychotic things than sex scenes. Really, you just hope you get it done as quickly as possible,” Sam tells ELLE.

In a previous interview, Sam expressed similar feelings when he said seeing Kristen topless was “strange.”

“It’s a strange thing… I was pretty uncomfortable,” Sam told SheKnows at a screening for the film in NYC.

On the other hand, we bet there’s one person who isn’t complaining when Kristen decides to go topless —Robert Pattinson! Rob and Kristen have weathered a cheating scandal and heavy media scrutiny over the last four years as a couple. Rob must REALLY love Kristen — breasts and all!

By now, it’s known that Kristen Stewart goes topless in On The Road. It’s a clear departure from her days as Bella Swan in the Twilight franchise. While Kristen may have found the disrobing liberating, her co-stars, specifically Sam Riley, were not big fans of seeing her naked. Ouch!

“It’s a strange thing… I was pretty uncomfortable,” Sam told SheKnows at a screening for the film in NYC. ”She was 19; I was nearly 30, married… we’re mates. You just sort of do it as quickly as possible, unlike in real life. I don’t really see a future for me in erotics.”

Kristen, however, found the topless scenes to be liberating and she’s quite proud of the outcome.

“I can’t say it’s not a little bit jarring, but it’s jarring in the right way. I wanted it to be. I’m really proud of it,” she told E! Online’s Marc Malkin at the MTV Sneak Peek of Snow White and the Huntsman in May 2012.

Kristen Stewart may have a legion of loyal fans all over the world, but two of her loyalist fans are her co-stars. And we’re not talking about Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner! Garrett Hedlund and Sam Riley sat down with HollywoodLife.com to talk about their On The Road co-star, and they reveal what a great work ethic she has, and that she is anything but “grumpy.” How cool! Read on for all the details.

Kristen Is A ‘Passionate’ Actress

Kristen first met both Sam and Garrett long before she became famous for playing Bella Swan in Twilight, as On The Road has been in production for nearly six years. Speaking about Kristen’s work ethic, Garrett reveals that she is a very dedicated actress, who put a lot of time into preparing for her part as Marylou.

We asked Garrett if he thought Kristen brought something original to the part and he said:

“I do. Of course I do. When she read it [the book] she was 15. She was so passionate about it.I remember her explaining that when she read about these guys and Marylou, she wanted to know people like this. She wanted to chase after them.”

Garrett also said that Kristen put hours of time into prepping for the role:

“She had access to all these audio tapes… hours and hours of LuAnne Henderson [the real-life Marylou] talking about Jack [Kerouac] and Neal [Cassady]. She studied those tapes day in and day out and came up with a voice [for Marylou]. The wild stuff around her made her seem 20 years above her age.”

Wow, Kristen is clearly so dedicated to her craft. How impressive!

Kristen Is Not Grumpy

Kristen is known to be shy and and she does not like publicity, and in the past she has been perceived as grumpy, but Sam says there is simply no truth to these rumors.

“I didn’t have any preconceptions, you know, this idea that she was grumpy or something,” he tells us. “I didn’t know she was meant to be like that, and she never was. She’s a lot younger than me. She struck me as a pretty regular American teenager.”

Sam also revealed that Kristen and the rest of the cast were super excited to be in the movie, dispelling any notions that she is moody. “Everyone was so enthusiastic and excited to be doing it. There was no egos.”

Fans are definitely going to see a new, sexier side of Kristen Stewart when On The Road premieres in December; The-coming-of-age movie finds Kristen in various love scenes with her co-stars, including a daring threesome with Garrett Hedlund and Sam Riley!
“This role opened me up like I couldn’t even begin to tell you,” Kristen told ScreenSlam.com on Sept. 6 at the Toronto International Film Festival. ”This story attracts people that either are the type of person that runs down the street knowing that everyone is following them, or the type of person that follows — and I am so not the leader. As soon as I found my way into this group of people, I was like, ‘Wow! For a second, I can pretend to be the one who is leading the way.’ I’m so not that person.”

Anybody who has read Jack Kerouac‘s 1957 book On the Road knows the author didn’t hold back while writing his intense scenes and the movie adaptation is following suit. A topless Kristen Stewart is sandwiched between naked Garrett Hedlund and Sam Riley — she’s never allowed to complain about her job again — and things get very sexual, very quickly.

In the scene Marylou (Kristen) performs some, er, sexual favors for both Dean (Garrett) and Sal (Sam) simultaneously. The camera flashes to both a front and back view, and shows a truck driver veering off the side of the road while he witnesses what is happening.

“I wanted to do [the scene],” Kristen has said in the past about the threesome scene. “I love pushing. I love scaring myself. I’ve always wanted to get as close to an experience as I could.”

There’s no denying that all-American beauty Kristen Stewart looks stunning in her photo spread for this month’s M magazine, but there’s one accessory that should have been left out of the artistic photographs: cigarettes!

In the sultry black-and-white photo shoot, Kristen, 22, posed alongside her co-stars from On the Road, Sam Riley and Garrett Hedlund, and both actors have cigarettes dangling from their mouths! So gross!
