Sylvester Stallone spoke out for the first time on the tragic death of his son, Sage Stallone.

“When a parent loses a child there is no greater pain. Therefore I am imploring people to respect my talented son’s memory and feel compassion for his loving mother Sasha,” he tells TMZ. “This agonizing loss will be felt for the rest of our lives. Sage was our first child and the center of our universe and I am humbly begging for all to have my son’s memory and soul left in peace.”

Sage, 36, was found dead on July 13 and reportedly died from an overdose. One law enforcement official said that Sage’s room was “disgusting” and the housekeeper was told to not disturb him, or even knock on the door.

We’re very sad to hear about Sage’s death and can’t even imagine what his family is going through at this time.
