22-year-old rising Hollywood star, Jennifer Lawrence, donned a gorgeous dark blue Christian Dior gown at the 19th Screen Actors Guild Awards in LA on Jan. 27. Upon receiving her award for best performance by a female actor in Silver Linings Playbook, Jennifer shocked the crowd by showing a little more leg than expected when she stood up. At first, the shocking reveal left us thinking her dress ripped — but apparently that wasn’t the case!

What everyone thought to be a major fashion malfunction turned out to be nothing more than a little lift of the layered tulle. As Jennifer approached the stage, she delicately ruched her dress, creating a split between the top and the skirt of the satin piece. This classic beauty revealed more leg than usual beneath the sheer material, drawing all of the attention to the presumed fashion flaw. It probably didn’t help that the cameras caught her staggering when she rose from her seat when the dress got caught on her chair. As we could have expected, Jennifer recovered from the stumble with grace and poise before confidently continuing to the stage. She even took a second to laugh at herself!

So, what’s the real story? A spokesperson for Christian Dior Couture confirms that it was definitely not a rip. “The dress is made with different levels of tulle and satin and that is what the viewers saw when Jennifer lifted her dress slightly. It was not ripped and there was no malfunction…it was the design of the gown,” explains the spokesperson. Had she not lifted the skirt to insure a graceful strut up to the stage, no one would have ever known about the tiered layers.

A lot goes into crafting a couture gown, so it comes as no surprise that layers of fabric made up the gorgeous gown.

Modern Family star Sofia Vergara, 40, looked stunning in a white gown at the 19th Annual SAG Awards on Jan. 27 — but it was her black jacket, which matched young costar Aubrey Anderson-Emmons, 5, that stole the show!

Sofia, who won the Outstanding Ensemble In A Comedy Series Award along with her fellow cast members, posted the adorable candid pic on her Twitter feed with the caption “matching coats!”

The two were even wearing white dresses underneath — how adorable! Aubrey, who plays Sophia’s step-granddaughter on screen, was all smiles while sitting with the gorgeous Sophia on a plush couch.

Aubrey posted some candid shots of her own to her personal Twitter page — which is run by her mother Amy Anderson — and it looked like the tiny star was having a blast as well.

In the intro to the 2013 SAG Awards show, Sofia made a hilarious confession — she claimed her father once told her that if she did anything artistic, it would make her look like a hooker.

“I told him, ‘With these huge boobs that I inherited from your mother, I already look like a hooker!” she hilariously quipped back.

Someone is wasting no time getting into the Valentine’s Day spirit! Kaley’s two-toned red and pink nude nails complemented her bright red Romona Keveza dress perfectly. The neutral color of the hearts gives the cool visual effect as though they have been laser cut out of her red nails rather than doodled on top. While pink hearts paired with an all-red ensemble tends to have an overly cutesy vibe, Kaley’s designs really work.

Anne’s basic white mani was given an artsy punch with the help of some carefully painted black butterflies. The wispy creatures danced on only a few accent nails, leaving the rest of her look crisp and mod. Anne’s nails were created by L’Oréal Paris Worldwide Nail Artist Tom Bachik. To develop this “simple, chic and mod,” nail art, Tom used two coats of L’Oréal Paris Colour Riche Nail in I Will!  before applying a few butterfly accents (a romantic but subtle touch) to Anne’s middle and ring fingers (left hand) and the ring finger of her right hand.

Both ladies’ looks are giving us major V-Day mani inspiration! From the unexpected girliness of butterflies to the totally literal candy-colored hearts, it will be tough to choose a favorite.

Amanda Seyfried wowed in a Zac Posen gown on the red carpet at the 19th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards. However, afterwards, she wore a lacy black getup to an after party at the Chateau Marmont, causing her to suffer an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction.

Furthermore, Jennifer Lawrence suffered a wardrobe malfunction at the SAG Awards, when her dress almost ripped completely in half!

When Jennifer’s name was announced as the winner for Outstanding Female Actor In A Leading Role for her part in Silver Linings Playbook, she jumped out of her chair and began hugging the people around her.

Unfortunately, The Hunger Games actress did not notice that someone put the leg of their chair on Jennifer’s Christian Dior gown.

In a hurry to get on stage, Jennifer ended up ripping her dress almost completely around at the top of her thighs, nearly leaving her bottom half totally exposed.

Claire Danes, 33, brought all the attention to her neckline with her one-shoulder Givenchy dress and chic, low ponytail with a soft side part. Her hairstylist, Peter Butler, said to her, “If we try and make this Hollywood, it just won’t work,” so he kept the look fresh and cool but still elegant with soft pieces falling around the face. “The dress is very sharp looking and I wanted to soften it by giving her a cool ‘New York girl’ style,” he said.

Hairstylist Peter Butler breaks down Claire’s chic look, right here:

• Starting with wet hair,  Peter applied Matrix Amplify Foam Volumizer evenly throughout hair to provide hold, texture and volume and Matrix Total Results Blonde Care Flash Filler Sheer Mist to ends so that they would smooth out nicely and look finished and polished.

• Claire’s hair was blown out with a medium round brush.

• Brushed hair into a side part and lightly ran BIOLAGE Exquisite Oil Replenishment Treatment over hair to smooth flyaways.

• Applied Matrix Design Pulse Mega Dust to roots at the crown of her head and lightly teased to provide height to the pony.

• Gathered hair at the nape of the neck, leaving out some angles in the front, and secured with a bungee elastic, joining the two hooks underneath the pony.

• Pulled out small pieces around her ears to keep the look ethereal and not too done.

• Lightly sprayed Matrix Total Results Amplify Hairspray to keep it all together, while not looking too stiff or finished.

• Finished off the look with a few sprays of Matrix Total Results Blonde Care Flash Filler Sheer Mist as a shine spray to bring out and enhance her blonde hue.

STATEMENT LIPS:

While she was getting her hair done, Maulawizada applied Laura Mercier Lip Silk to Danes’ lips to smooth and nourish them.

· Once her hair was complete, he contoured and shaded the lips using Laura Mercier Lip Pencil in Coffee Bean followed by Laura Mercier Lip Pencil in Deep Wine.

FLAWLESS FACE:

· First, Maulawizada prepped Danes’ skin using Laura Mercier Foundation Primer to create an even canvas and ensure her makeup stayed flawless throughout the evening.

· Then, he applied Laura Mercier Repair Eye Serum generously over her cheekbones.

· Next, Maulawizada applied Laura Mercier Crème Smooth Foundation in Warm Ivory to lighten Claire’s complexion.

· On her cheeks, he applied Laura Mercier Crème Cheek Colour in Blaze ($24) followed by Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder in Translucent ($35) to set the look.

ENCHANTING EYES:

• Maulawizada defined Danes’ eyes by applying Laura Mercier Tightline Cake Eye Liner in Bleu Marine ($22) to her lash line.

• Then, he layered a combination of Laura Mercier Metallic Crème Eye Colour in Rose Gold ($22) and Laura Mercier Metallic Crème Eye Colour in Burnished Copper ($22) on her eyelids.

• Next, he applied Laura Mercier Shimmer Bloc in Golden Mosaic ($38) to further enhance the eyes.

• Maulawizada added the final touch of glamour by applying multiple coats of Laura Mercier Faux Lash Mascara ($24) to Danes’ upper lashes.

The naive French actress became proficient in English by the time she accepted the Academy Award in 2008 for La Vie En Rose. Today, she is fluent. In fact, in her next movie, which is still untitled, she speaks English with a Polish accent. “I recently spent six months filming in New York, and all my thoughts were in English. I played a Polish woman, and I would have loved to dream in Polish. Mostly, I am confused—some people talk to me in French, and I answer in English. And some people talk to me in English, and I answer in French. I think I’m too tired to dream in any language.

During the filming she lived in New York with her partner, director and actor Guillaume Canet, and their son, Marcel. Marcel was born right before production began on Batman, and at the premiere, Marion was shocked by the size of her breasts in the movie. “I was nursing,” she says. “There are scenes where I went, ‘Whoa! Look at that! Who is that woman?’ ” She added, “Maybe that added to her mystery.”I was a big fan of Beetlejuice, and I really wanted to work with Tim Burton. I remember I kept the pages of the scenes under my pillow for a month. I don’t know if that’s why I got the part, but I know I wished for it every night.”

When Tina Fey walked the red carpet Jan. 27 at the Screen Actors Guild Awards, she discussed four words I never thought I would ever hear in this order: Mean Girls, The Musical! “I would love to,” Tina told E! when asked about bringing the Plastics to Broadway. “I’m trying to develop it … with my husband, who does all the music for 30 Rock. I think Paramount’s on board.”

As crazy as it may sound, I think Mean Girls could make a great musical, especially with Tina and husband Jeff Richmond at the helm. Did anyone think Legally Blonde would be a great musical? Or Bring It On? Of course not, but they both turned out to be huge hits!

That’s right. They were both HUGE. HITS.

Potential Songs For ‘Mean Girls: The Musical’

Because Mean Girls: The Musical is still being developed, we don’t know anything about the show’s sure-to-be-crowd-pleasing musical numbers, but that’s not stopping me from making a few suggestions. Here are five songs I’d like to see make their way to the stage:

1. “You Go Glen Coco,” one boy’s triumphant song-and-dance number about getting multiple valentines — while Gretchen Wieners got none.

2. “I’m A Cool Mom,” an upbeat number introducing the beautiful creature that is Regina George’s mother.

3. “Projection Room Blues,” Shane Oman’s surprisingly poignant ballad about getting caught in his undies — all alone.

4. “I Want My Pink Shirt Back,” Damian’s big moment, where he demands Cady return his over-sized garment. (This could be a major highlight of act two.)

5. “So Fetch!,” Gretchen Wieners’ desperate (musical) attempt to make “fetch” happen.

Pretty in pink! While we saw a slew of black gowns on the red carpet at the 2013 Screen Actors Guild Awards on Jan. 27 in LA two starlets totally stood out, thanks to their vibrant fuschia frocks. The Vampire Diaries star, Nina Dobrev, looked simply stunning in her short-sleeved crepe Elie Saab gown from the Spring 2013 collection, while Glee gal Lea Michele worked the red carpet in a strapless Valentino gown.

Nina’s dress put her svelte frame on full display, while the cutout lace detailing added a feminine touch to her pretty frock. Wearing her hair back to keep the focus on the gorgeous gown, the 24-year-old accessorized with statement earrings and a bright clutch. I thought the silhouette of the dress was so sophisticated and chic — the star is really growing up, and so is her sense of style! Nina looked cool and confident coming down the red carpet.

While Nina went for a different silhouette, Lea kept her get-up more traditional in her flowing strapless Valentino gown. The 26-year-old wore her hair down and showed off her bangs, while a statement pair of earrings really brought the whole ensemble together. While Lea often opts for seriously sexy looks, her SAG Awards dress was definitely more traditional. I always get excited to see Lea step out on the red carpet, but her SAG Awards get-up definitely isn’t one of my favorite outfits on the star.

I have to say Nina really won me over on the red carpet last night. While Lea always looks lovely, I didn’t think she appeared as done-up as she usually does. What do you think? Which star looked prettier in pink? VOTE!
