Rose Byrne and Anna Faris showed off their bobs at the 2012 Oscars and their hair looks so sleek! Rose’s smooth ‘do was created by John Frieda International Creative Consultant Harry Josh. One of the tricks Harry used was to keep flyaways at bay with the John Frieda Full Repair Touch-Up Flyaway Tamer. Anna’s look was created by celebrity hairstylist Christine Symonds. Among the products that Christine used, Redken Argon Oil was definitely the ingredient that added the shine into this hairstyle.

Both women look so similar, not only with their hairstyles, but with their sparkling black outfits! This is a tough call because Rose and Anna each look stunning for different reasons. Who wins YOUR vote?

John Frieda International Creative Consultant Harry Josh worked on Rose Byrne‘s bob for the 2012 SAG awards. See what he did and what two products he used to style and tame Rose’s hair.

• “I needed to get a lot of lift at the roots. Without that, the look would just fall flat,” says Harry. On wet hair, he applied tons of John Frieda Full Repair Root Lift Foam which not only gave him the weightless lift that he needed, but also helped to protect against damage caused by heat styliing.

• Harry applied the Full Repair Perfect Ends Deep Infusion to smooth the ends and make sure they looked healthy and groomed since her new cut is so blunt.

• Section by section, Harry used a natural bristle brush and angled the blow dryer down to get maximum shine.

• Harry used the rollers to lock in the volume.

Rose’s gorgeous makeup was the work of celebrity makeup artist Hung Vanngo. Wondering how to get her gently flushed cheeks? Hung explains:

“I used a beautiful Joe Fresh cream blush in Rose to give some colors on her cheeks, and set them with Joe Fresh powder blush in Rosette, then I added Joe Fresh Highlighter on top of cheekbones, top of nose, forehead…to make the skin looks extra luminous and more dimensions on the face,” says Hung.

Rose Byrne attended the Zimmerman 2011 Resort Collection dinner July 14 and celebrity makeup artist Fiona Stiles explains how she created this classic summertime makeup look step-by-step.

Fiona took much of her inspiration for the look from the steamy evening, saying, “It was a warm summer night in Hollywood, and Rose was wearing a very cool, easy glamour dress from Zimmerman, so we went with an non-fussy summer look. It was an outdoor event and it seemed right to go with a fun lip color. Not too much on the eye, a sun kissed cheek and a bright, happy coral lip.”

Here’s what Fiona did:

• “Using the EcoTools Bamboo Foundation Brush I swiped on Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation in #6 on her forehead, cheeks, and chin. (You can use the foundation brush with product on it to go over areas that need more coverage).”

• “I set the base with CHANEL Natural Finish Pressed Powder in Dore and then have her a bit of a sunny glow with the Benefit Hoola Bronzer.”

• “I kept the eyes very simple since the lip was such a statement. I swept Burberry Sheer Eyeshadow in Almond, a warm lightly shimmery shadow, all over the lid with the EcoTools Large Eyeshadow Brush from the 6 Piece Eye Brush Set and then used a bit of the Burberry Sheer Eyeshadow in Chestnut into the crease with the EcoTools Domed Highlighting Brush to add depth to the eye.”

• “Heaps of Lancôme Virtuose Mascara, after curling the lashes, gave the eyes a sweet doe eyed finish, and bright slash of color on the lips, Tom Ford Private Blend Lipstick in Ginger Fawn, finished up the look.”
