Romeo and Juliet
How’s THIS for fate? Two newborn babies delivered just 18 hours apart may have romance in their futures. After all, the baby boy is named Romeo while the girl is — wait for it — Juliet. Even cuter, the infants found themselves in the same nursery, and there’s no question they already make the cutest couple!
The star-crossed lovers return to the big screen in a new film adaptation of Shakespeare’s ‘Romeo & Juliet.’ The timeless love story unfolds with a couple of twists — and appearances from some of young Hollywood’s biggest stars!
If you’re a fan of the English playwright, you might want to scrap your plans for this weekend and check out Romeo and Juliet , hitting theaters Oct. 11. It’s the classic story of two star-crossed lovers whose tragic courtship (eventually) ends the rift between their feuding families, but with a modern twist you won’t be able to resist.
The greatest love story ever is being told once again and this new spin on Shakespeare’s classic tale is one you won’t want to miss!
Romeo and Juliet has returned to Broadway, but this latest iteration of the classic tale of romance is like nothing you’ve ever seen. Get your first look at Hailee Steinfeld & Douglas Booth as young lovers. (Spoiler alert: They both die at the end!)
It seems like only yesterday that Hailee Steinfeld was that spunky little cowgirl in True Grit… but now she’s all grown up, and getting it on with Douglas Booth! The actors bring two of literature’s most memorable lovers to life in Romeo & Juliet — which also stars Gossip Girl‘s Ed Westwick and Homeland‘s Damian Lewis — and from the looks of the just-released trailer, it’s going to be epic.
Would you like to see Paul as Hailee’s suitor — or would the 14-year age gap be a too awkward?
Paul Wesley might be taking a walk in Damon Salvatore’s shoes very soon, as Variety is reporting the Vampire Diaries star been offered the role of the County Paris in the upcoming big-screen version of Romeo and Juliet. I mentioned Damon because, of course, Paris is the one who comes in second to Romeo (Douglas Booth) — at least as far as Juliet (Hailee Steinfeld) is concerned.
Breakout star Hailee Steinfeld will be playing one of pop culture’s favorite teenage lovers in a new version of ‘Romeo & Juliet’ alongside Miley Cyrus’s ‘LOL’ co-star, Douglas Booth!
Hailee Steinfeld — who stole the show as the wily teen girl in True Grit — will be transformed into one of history’s most notorious star-crossed lovers in a film adaptation of Romeo & Juliet. The 14-year-old actress will star alongside 19-year-old LOL actor and face of Burberry Douglas Booth in a version of the story that writers promise will follow closely to Shakespeare’s original play.
