Last week’s 90210 revealed Colin’s (Rob Mayes) devious plot to take down Max’s company, and on the Nov. 19 episode, the drama with Annie’s (Shenae Grimes) new boyfriend finally comes to a head. “There are definitely more surprises coming,” Rob tells HollywoodLife.com. “Riley and Colin revisit each other.”

Though Rob won’t confirm my suspicion that Colin’s 90210 journey ends tonight, he says he’s been surprised at the outpouring of support for his character. That’s right, support.

“The tweets started coming in once my episodes started airing,” Rob tells me. “Fans were saying, ‘This is making me think, actually. Maybe it’s not just Annie and Liam!’”

Rob also admits that Colin’s dark side was as much of a surprise for him as it was for the audience.

“I had no idea [Colin was bad] when I went in to read for the character,” Rob says. “I was doing one of my fittings, still trying to figure out who this guy is without any framework, and one of the wardrobe people went, ‘I think your character’s going to be bad.’ That was the first I had heard there could be a twist to him. … They know all.”

For those of you craving more Rob after his 90210 journey ends, you might want to check out John Dies At The End, a movie whose title — Rob insists — doesn’t spoil anything.

“This character was so different than anything I’d done,” Rob says. “He’s just this adrenaline-seeking, crazy drug-addict dude who’s so fun-loving. … We premiered it at Sundance, then we took it South by Southwest. It had a great festival run. I believed in the picture, but you never know what’s going to happen after you wrap.”

And for something slightly lighter, Rob also stars in Golden Christmas 3, premiering Nov. 25 at 9 p.m. on ION.

“I read the script and thought, ‘This is adorable’” Rob says of the holiday movie, which also stars One Tree Hill‘s Shantel VanSanten and Awkward‘s Nikki Deloach. ”And I’ve never done a Christmas movie. I haven’t had that much fun on set since John Dies, which was more than two years ago.”

There’s always something off about Annie’s (Shenae Grimes) boyfriends — see the priest, the drug dealer, the guy who paid her for sex, etc. — and on the Nov. 12 episode of 90210, we learned her latest suitor’s deep dark secret: Colin (Rob Mayes) is a spy! He works for a rival software company, and he tricked Naomi (AnnaLynne McCord) into helping him hack Max’s (Josh Zuckerman) company’s server; as if Max didn’t have enough reasons to divorce her already.

Speaking of Naomi, her latest attempt to get that sexy monkey Alec (Trai Byers) off her back involved teaming up with a surprising ally: Max’s ex-fiancée Madison! It turns out Alec practically forced Madison to hire Naomi as her wedding planner, knowing full well that she’d come between them.

Am I the only person getting a more-than-friends vibe between Alec and Max? Here’s my theory: Alec has set out to destroy all of Max’s relationships because he’s a big ol’ gay and wants Max all to himself. Prove me wrong, 90210, I dare you.

After a super-awkward conversation with Riley (Riley Smith) about what it’s like to have sex with a cripple, Annie realized that Adrianna (Jessica Lowndes) and Dixon’s (Tristan Wilds) relationship was doomed long before he ever got into an accident. And with that knowledge, there was only one thing left for Ade to do: cheat on Dixon with Taylor (Wes Brown) — again!

I swear, it’s like Adrianna is some kind of twisted Girl Scout, determined to earn every slutty merit badge she possibly can. At this point, she’s practically a Den Mother.

And in sex tape news, Liam (Matt Lanter) and his teacher-turned-lawyer-turned-skank Lindsey (Peyton List) got down and dirty at the grand re-opening of the Off Shore. A rando caught their little encounter on his cell phone, and because Navid (Michael Steger Jr.) is stupid and thinks Liam is two-timing Silver (Jessica Stroup), he plans to do bad bad things with it.

For someone who got into Princeton, Navid’s kind of an idiot. But, hey, that’s probably why he dropped out.
