When it comes to saying ‘I Do’ every girl wants to look gorgeous on her special day! Chelsea Clinton wowed her guests in a strapless Vera Wang and I was so impressed with the bride’s choice — to be honest, if you told me she had opted for a classic, strapless, full skirted gown I would’ve expected to be let down, but luckily, I couldn’t have been anymore in love with her whimsical dress. While the shape was traditional the details were extraordinary. The silk tulle and laser-cut organza creation was ethereal, with a crisscross bodice and an intricate sash of embroidered crystals and pearls. Chelsea, known for her conservative style, stuck to minimal accessories that were equally as gorgeous — I like how she kept the focus on her amazing frock, opting for her engagement ring, diamond earrings with two seven-stone flowers, and a tennis bracelet featuring a similar flower. The bride polished off her look with satin peep-toes and a simple veil.

For the reception, Chelsea looked equally amazing when she slipped into another dress by the designer, a silk tulle Grecian gown with a narrow black belt, according to WWD.

For weeks people have gone back and forth over whether or not new bride Chelsea Clinton would be wearing Vera Wang or Oscar de la Renta when she walked down the aisle to wed beau Marc Mezvinsky. All this seemed to be put to rest earlier this week when Chelsea popped into Vera’s bridal salon and then Friday, when the designer showed up in the small New York town of Rhinebeck for the wedding.

Her bridesmaids were also decked out in the designer, wearing strapless lavender gowns with side drape detail and a plum bow, while her groom and the rest of the men in the wedding party, (including her dad, former president Bill Clinton), were outfitted in Burberry, thanks to the couple’s dear friend and Creative Director for the brand, Christopher Bailey.

Her mother on the other hand, Hillary Clinton, went with her tried and true designer, Oscar de la Renta. Her fuchsia colored dress was wonderfully complimented by her new, softer hair and a gorgeous light pink necklace with matching earrings.

While all these looks came, no doubt, at an incredibly high price, there was also a simplicity to the outfits. No grand train or princess-like dress for Chelsea, suits as opposed to tuxedos for the men. It all seems to fit in perfectly with the wedding that, despite some earlier reports, was all about the bride and groom and not a barrage of high profile guests.

Some of the lucky few in attendance at Chelsea Clinton‘s wedding Saturday evening are finally revealing details from the beautiful, yet very private, multimillion dollar affair. One guest told the New York Post, “For the first dance, Chelsea and her dad danced to a Frank Sinatra ballad,” noting that the former president was “teary-eyed” throughout the dance. Chelsea and new husband Marc Mezvinsky meanwhile took to the floor and performed a choreographed version of “At Last.” Among the other new details are:

1. Jim Valli and his band were among the entertainment for the evening, along with the previously known DJ Mia Moretti and violinist Caitlin Moe. A harpist played as the 400 guests filed in for the outdoor ceremony.
2. The vegan cake from La Tulipe Desserts in Mt. Kisco was apparently chocolate, though an actual photo has yet to be released of the creation. It was 11 tiers and is said to have cost around $11,000.
3. For her reception, Chelsea changed into a silk tulle Grecian Vera Wang gown with criss cross back and a narrow grosgrain black belt according to Us Weekly.
4. Guests walked away with a gift bag that included a bottle of wine from the nearby Clinton Vineyards as well as a box of chocolates, pastries from the local Wild Hive Farm Store, and Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment.
5. The dinner, catered by the St. Regis Hotel in New York, included short ribs, Atlantic char, a vegetarian option, and gluten-free rolls
6. Bill gave a toast saying that ever since his daughter had been old enough to formulate a thought, he had “been outnumbered” in his household, two to one. Now, with a son-in-law, he said, “the playing field is even. I have someone else on my side.”
7. Marc also gave an emotional speech about his love for Chelsea and at the end looked directly into her eyes ignoring the rest of the room. Even Bill was brought to tears.

Hillary’s amazing new hair is thanks to super hairstylist Isabelle Goetz, who she flew in from Washington for the occasion. We are not sure who did the make-up, but they too deserve some major recognition!

Preparation is clearly underway for Chelsea’s big day! New details on what’s going down!

Airplane pilots beware: The Federal Aviation Administration has placed a ban on flights around Astor Courts, where Chelsea’s wedding will take place, reports CBS News. Planes are forbidden to fly below 2,000 ft and the ban goes into effect at 3:00 p.m. on Sat and lasts until 3:30 a.m. Sunday morning.

Preparation for the wedding has already started. A huge glass-front tent has been put up on the 50-acre Astor Courts estate to accommodate Chelsea’s 500 guests.

As we previously reported, the whole wedding will cost about $3 million. Celebrity guests in attendance will include Oprah as well as heads of state and titans of industry. Unfortunately, mother of the bride Hillary Clinton did not invite her boss President Barack Obama!

“I was not invited to the wedding,” President Obama said on a pre-taped segment of ABC’s The View on July 29, “because I think Hillary and Bill, properly, want to keep this thing for Chelsea and her soon-to-be husband [Marc Mezvinsky].” Plus, “you don’t want two presidents at one wedding! All the secret service, guests going through (metal detectors), all the gifts being torn apart …” the Prez joked.

Here are the other juicy details about the wedding:

- The wedding planner is Bryan Rafanelli of Boston. Jeff Leatham, artistic director of the Four Seasons George V hotel in Paris, is doing the flowers. Jimmy Vali, president of Vali Entertainment in Norwood, N.J., is coordinating the music.

- Security at Saturday’s wedding on the grounds of Astor Courts, a private, French-style mansion overlooking the Hudson could cost $200,000 because of all the high-level politicians and global celebrities.

- Place settings cost $100 a person.

- Invitations cost $150 a person.

- A hand-painted runner down the aisle.

- $6,000 a table setting for food and drink from multiple vendors.

- $600,000 for air-conditioned tents.

Chelsea’s nuptials are less than two weeks away and though the ceremony is shrouded in secrecy, some details are finally coming to light!

Chelsea Clinton can take two people off the RSVP list for her July 31 wedding, President Barack Obama‘s press secretary announced he and wife Michelle will be unable to attend. As for the rest of the 400 invited guests the Daily Mail reports, “Guests have been sent ‘save the date’ invitations with just the date and no information about the location.” This is one top secret affair!

Reports everywhere seem to be quite certain the couple will be married at Astor Court, a sprawling estate located over an hour north of New York City in the town of Reinbeck. The New York Times reported over the weekend that Chelsea and some friends had stopped in at Le Petit Bistro, an upscale french restaurant in the town, in April for a tasting.

The Times report also cited how excited Chelsea’s parents are for her wedding to Marc Mezvinsky saying Hillary, “recently sent an internal e-mail message to State Department employees referring to herself as an ‘MOTB’ — wedding planner lingo for mother of the bride. On a recent trip to Poland, she told an interviewer that she has been squeezing in ‘tastings and dress selections,’ and viewing flower arrangements via e-mail.”

As for the dress, there have been rumors the bride was deciding between Vera Wang and Oscar de la Renta, but the Mail is saying she has finally decided on de la Renta.

Needless to say the claims that this may be the ‘wedding of the century’ could definitely prove to be true — if we ever learn anything about it!
