Just because she’s a Duchess, doesn’t mean she can’t ride the tube! Kate Middleton showed off her excellent sense of humor on Mar. 19 when she joined Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Phillip, Duke of Edinburgh at the underground station at Baker Street.

Looking stunning as usual in a blue coat by Danish designer Marlene Birger, the Duchess of Cambridge was spotted laughing when given a “Baby On Board” pin by Howard Collins, London Underground chief operating officer.

“I’ll make sure I wear it at home,” she told Howard, according to The Daily Mail. ”‘Kate said ‘Oh yes, I’ve seen this before.’ She used to travel on the Tube so she probably saw them then. She asked me ‘How do they work?’ and I said they’re fantastic, they really do make a difference – saves men the embarrassment of having to guess if a woman is pregnant.”

“She asked so many great questions of the staff and seemed really interested in our work,” Howard said.

Train To Be Named After Queen Elizabeth II

Also at the anniversary was Queen Elizabeth II. She inspected a 1892 carriage and the S7 trains — which will be named after her. Looking classy as usual, she wore a tweed dress and matching coat by Karl Ludwig and an Angela Kelly hat.

Queen Elizabeth II was taken to King Edward VII Hospital in London, a palace spokesman said on March 3.

The 86-year-old monarch was taken as a precaution, while she’s assessed over symptoms of gastroenteritis, a palace spokesman tells BBC.

While the palace also said The Queen is in “good spirits,” all official engagements this week have been canceled or postponed.

A spokesman for The Queen said, ”This is a precautionary measure. She was not taken into hospital immediately after feeling the symptoms. This is simply to enable doctors to better assess her.”

Prime minister David Cameron tweeted, ”My best wishes to Her Majesty the Queen, who is in hospital. I hope she makes a speedy recovery.”

Regardless, The Queen will remain in the hospital for at least two days, BBC’s royal correspondent Peter Hunt says.

The last time the monarch was in the hospital was 10 years ago, when she was being treated with a minor knee operation.

What Is Gastroenteritis?

Gastroenteritis causes inflammation of the stomach lining and intestines. The infection can be transmitted through contact with an infected person or contaminated food and drink. Symptoms can include vomiting, fever and stomach ache.

Potential treatment includes rehydration and possible tests to establish if the illness has been caused by an infection or an underlying problem.

Kate Middleton, 30, may be suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum, a severe form of morning sickness, but we hope she’s taking comfort in the fact that her family and new in-laws are fully supporting her. Queen Elizabeth II is even giving Kate the ultimate Christmas present! See what it is below!

The Queen is inviting Kate’s parents, Carole and Michael Middleton to take part in the royal Christmas gathering held at Sandringham Estate. This defies decades of tradition, as non-royals are never usually a part of the celebration.

The super fancy gathering includes black-tie dinners and a pheasant hunt. The Queen hopes that by inviting Kate’s parents, she will be more likely to attend, especially with her husband, the Queen’s grandson, Prince William.

The Queen wants Kate there, “despite this difficult time,” says a source to Us Weekly magazine.

Since Kate is suffering from morning sickness, she has been staying with her parents at their home in Bucklebury, England. She’s been there since Dec. 12, finding comfort in her family.

Kate is feeling better at times — she was able to present an award at the BBC Sports Personality Awards — but it still saying away from too much public attention.

An aide says Kate won’t finalize where she will be on Christmas day “until the night before or the morning of. It depends on how she feels. And if Catherine doesn’t go, [Prince] William probably won’t either.”

DJ’s Mel Greig and Michael Christian from Sydney’s 2Day FM station successfully prank called Kate Middleton‘s hospital room on December 4. They were able to actually speak to her private nurse at King Edward VII Hospital and were given actual information on Kate’s condition, according to audio of the call posted online (which you can listen to yourself, at the bottom of this post).

Radio DJ Pretends To Be Queen Elizabeth II, Asks About Kate’s “Tummy Bug”

During the call, you can hear Mel posing as Queen Elizabeth II saying “Hello, I’m just looking after my granddaughter, Kate. I wanted to see how her little tummy bug is going.”

It’s unclear to exactly what the nurse told Mel, but she says the nurse “was giving us real information” that even left her in shock.

“We were very surprised that our call was put through,” Mel is quoted as saying. “We thought we’d be hung up on as soon as they heard our terrible accents.”

King Edward VII Hospital’s Response To Prank Call

On December 5, the hospital released a statement confirming the prank caller had been transferred Kate’s nurse on December 4 and a short conversation with the nurse took place.

A spokesperson added :”This was a foolish prank call that we all deplore. We take patient confidentiality extremely seriously and we are now reviewing our telephone protocols.”

Australian Radio Station Apologizes for Prank Call

The same day, the radio station also issued an apology on its Twitter feed, saying: “2Day FM sincerely apologizes for any inconvenience caused by the inquiry to Kate’s hospital, the radio segment was done with light-hearted intentions, we wish Kate and her family all the best and we’re glad to hear she’s doing well.”

No official comment on the incident has come from Prince William or Kate yet.

The Duchess of Cambridge is currently receiving treatment after being admitted December 3 with hyperemesis gravidarum, a condition involving nausea and vomiting which are more severe than regular morning sickness some women suffer during early pregnancy.

The royal couple make another triumphant appearance at Buckingham Palace — and look as great together as ever!

Prince William and Kate Middleton made another appearance at Buckingham Palace on June 10 — the site of their massive Royal Wedding — to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II‘s 85th birthday!

William, 28, and Kate, 29, attended the “Trooping the Colour” ceremony, which is a very elaborate celebration of the Queen’s birthday. William was dressed in his military garb, while Kate was predictably stylish in a white coat and fancy black hat. Despite William’s current and future wealth, he and Kate didn’t sign an agreement to protect his fortune — or guarantee her financial well-being!

Kate Middleton and Prince William tied the royal knot without a prenuptial contract, and experts reveal the surprising reasons why they didn’t lock anything down!

You’d think that it would a great idea for both Kate and William to want to protect themselves with a prenup.

He, after all, will inherit a share of Queen Elizabeth‘s $467 million fortune and already has a portion of his late mother Princess Diana‘s nearly $34 million estate. And his father Prince Charles reportedly gave up his entire personal fortune — which would have been valued at $27 million today — when he and Diana divorced. Kate comes from a well-off family, as well. But in the event of a divorce she surely would want to be able to maintain the amped-up royal lifestyle she will become accustomed to.

But experts say the couple’s decision not to have a prenup is probably the right one. Here’s why:

Kate and William have known each other for a long time. London-based celebrity divorce lawyer Raymond Tooth tells The AP: “it’s not a whirlwind recent romance” at risk of dissolving any time soon.

In the event of a split, it’s better to have the damaging information gathered from a bad marriage. “What couples know of one another at the time of their engagement pales in comparison to the knowledge they possess after years or decades of shared intimacies…” Victoria Pynchon says on Forbes.com. “Spouses in unequal financial positions quickly come to possess the equal negotiation leverage of mutually assured destruction.”

No one can predict future financial worth. “In an unpredictable world, tying one’s self to obligations that will not mature for ten, twenty or thirty years in the future is not simply ill-advised, it is the act of a fool,” Victoria says.

Let’s hope Kate and William, who seem so well-suited for one another and so in love, never have a reason to act on any split-up strategy!

The Queen has left the building! Her Highness leaves the palace in the hands of the newlyweds and their young friends!

The best part of a royal wedding is the royal rager that follows it. This wedding has been all about breaking traditions and starting new ones, and we think its great that the Queen is allowing the young royalty to celebrate in style!
