Pia Toscano and Jared Lee are using their voices for good! The two joined forces to record a special cover of Coldplay’s “Fix You” to raise money for Hurricane Sandy victims.

Pia, former American Idol Season 10 contestant, was personally affected by the terrible hurricane that ravaged the Eastern Coast. “I have been devastated by the destruction that Hurricane Sandy caused in my hometown and equally inspired by all of the amazing people who have come together to help those affected,” the star posted on her Facebook page.

The 24-year-old singer teamed up with singer-songwriter Jared Lee to lend both of their voices to the touching Coldplay song. Pia then tweeted and posted on her Facebook encouraging fans to donate money to the Red Cross to help with Sandy relief efforts.

Pia Toscano and Leven Rambin were both spotted stepping out in the Woodleigh Zoe design for a casual, on-the-go look. While the two may have chosen the same dress, they definitely added their own personal flair to the frock, rocking it in their own unique way.

The American Idol contestant looked gorgeous in this casual striped dress, which she chose to pair with some over-the-knee, black boots for a very sexy yet edgy vibe. Pia also dresses it up with some simple accessories, including a pair of aviators and a black belt. I love the way the belt highlights her frame and accentuates her curves.

Leven chose to rock the same frock, adding her own flair to it for quite a different look. The blond bombshell adds some cute accessories, including an artsy necklace and tan, strappy sandals.

Both stars left their long tresses down and simple.

While Leven spices up the look with some accessories, I’m not so sure I dig her choice of shoes or the bulky necklace on this high-collared dress. Pia without a doubt wins this one for me. The belt is the perfect staple to this effortless dress and the boots give it some an edgy vibe!

Girls have to stick together — especially on American Idol. Not since Jordin Sparks took the title in season six has a female singer won the competition, which is why former contestant Pia Toscano is pulling for Jessica Sanchez to win season 11.

“I want a girl to win!” Pia, 23, told HollywoodLife.com exclusively at the Race To Erase MS event at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza in Century City, Calif. “A girl hasn’t won in forever! I have been a fan of hers since I first saw her on America’s Got Talent.”

However, Pia isn’t just pulling for Jessica, 16, to win because she’s a chick. She loves her other qualities too.

“I think Jessica has a great chance because she is very relatable and so ahead of her years; I try to watch her and learn somethings from her,” she explained. “She has the whole thing down — from the fashion to the performance to everything, I think she is a very good role model.”

So much for the two talented stars collaborating together for a DWTS and American Idol dance/sing-off! Mark Ballas and Pia Toscano have amicably agreed, according to People, to take time off from their relationship.

“They both decided with everything going on that they couldn’t give each other what would be fair,” a source told People. “They mutually decided this.”

Mark is rehearsing for the 13th season of DWTS while Pia is preparing for her first tour. We totally understand why the two don’t have time for each other!

But, Mark’s partner is Kristin Cavallari – and as we recall from her old Laguna Beach days — she can be somewhat of a boyfriend stealer!

Don’t get my wrong, I love me a smokey eye — ahem Kim Kardashian – but don’t you think Pia Toscano and Taylor Momsen have gone a little overboard? Black eye makeup is supposed to give one a sexy, sultry look, but when using too much, you can go from glam to goth — fast! Pia and Taylor have really piled on the black eyeliner and eyeshadow. A smokey shadow look accentuates the eye by outlining it, but by applying so much black so high above and below the eye itself, you are actually making it look smaller instead.

Taylor, 18, seems to have fallen into the cliche Hollywood kid screwed up role, so seeing her rock these ragged raccoon eyes has not worried me too much. But now seeing the American Idol runner-up and America’s sweetheart, Pia, rock the animal eyes, I am officially concerned!

Please tell me this will remain an isolated incident Hollywood, and you have not been infected by the raccoon eye rabies!

Former ‘American Idol’ contestant Pia Toscano released her first single, ‘This Time,’ on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show July 11 — and we love it!

Pia Toscano may have been prematurely kicked off American Idol last season, but after hearing her first single, we think she’ll have a lasting career in the music world. The 22-year-old singer debuted her new song, “This Time,” on Ryan Seacrest‘s KIIS FM radio show July 11 — and it’s super catchy!

Written by Ester Dean (who’s best known for hits like “S&M,” “Rude Boy” and “What’s My Name), “This Time” is a song about a girl who’s ready to take her life back after what sounds to be a nasty, never ending breakup. It’s Pia’s first single since signing onto Jimmy Lovine‘s label, Interscope Records and will be released on iTunes July 12.

“I am thrilled to be joining the Interscope and 19 Recordings family. [Interscope Geffen A&M Chairman] Jimmy Iovine was an amazing mentor during my time on ‘Idol’ and I’m looking forward to working with him and everyone at Interscope Records and 19 Recordings,” Pia said. “This is a dream come true!”

What on earth is Interscope Records thinking by signing American Idol eliminee Pia Toscano on for a record deal? The Hollywood Reporter confirmed the news on July 5 that Pia will be continuing her so-called music career with the infamous record label as well as debuting her single, “This Time,” on July 12 AND performing the single during the American Idol Live! Tour this summer! All I have to say is, BIG MISTAKE INTERSCOPE!

There’s a reason Pia didn’t make it that far in her Idol stint, getting kicked off on April 7 — she’s NOT talented! I can’t even believe she got as far as the top 24, let alone placing ninth! The girl must have some sort of luck to hold her up that long. She should have been sent back home to Howard Beach, NY long before.

Pia has been trying for years to make a name for herself. She’s auditioned for American Idol four times and all ended in failure. It makes sense considering the 22-year-old wannabe can’t hold a note even when she tries.

The girl does deserve credit for really working the Hollywood scene to her advantage. Why else would she continue this on-off again relationship with Dancing with the Stars star Mark Ballas? Publicity, duh!

Certain people (Tom Hanks, Jennifer Hudson, Alyssa Milano and Ashton Kutcher) must be tone deaf if they like Pia. They only way I can handle her is with my earplugs in and the TV volume on mute.

Sorry Pia, you are a pretty girl who knows how to work fame, but that’s about it. What’s next? Rebecca Black gets a record deal? Oh wait, Glee has already performed her ridiculous song “Friday.”

Maybe Pia and Rebecca should team up. Now that would be an absolute disaster!

BFFs — are you happy that Pia landed a record deal? I sure as heck won’t be purchasing her album, I know that much for sure!
