Paula Deen gorged on dinner — including a huge tiramisu for dessert – the night before she announced she had Type II Diabetes, according to Page Six, and HollywoodLife.com confirmed that that she wasn’t holding back on the food!

Paula ordered pork chops for dinner and a big tiramisu at the end of the meal at Asellina in New York City, even though she has had diabetes for three years, Page Six reports!

“She wasn’t apprehensive on ordering or eating anything. She went for it,” a source tells HollywoodLife.

She may have Type 2 diabetes, but Food Network’s Paula Deen just might be in luck — she could dance away her excess pounds next season on Dancing with the Stars.

An insider at the hit ABC show tells HollywoodLife.com producers are seriously considering the 64-year-old cook and host for season 14.

“‘DWTS’ suits love good stories,” our source says. “It’s good timing. Paula just confirmed she has diabetes and this could help her a lot.”

As far as Paula’s age, the higher ups aren’t concerned. ”Producers love Paula’s likability and think it would guarantee she’d be around for a couple weeks, regardless,” the insider explains.

Paula Deen’s Peppermint Chocolate Coffee

Ingredients
1 tablespoon chocolate syrup
2 tablespoons peppermint syrup or peppermint baking chips
½ cup (4-ounces) hot fresh brewed coffee
Whipped cream, for garnish
Chocolate shavings, for garnish

Directions
To a coffee mug, add chocolate syrup, peppermint syrup and coffee. Mix together. Top with a dollop of whipped cream and chocolate shavings.

If your family is in the mood for a tasty drink to warm their souls this holiday season, Paula’s cider is the perfect choice! Just follow these simple directions and you will have a scrumptious drink, that can be made even better with a splash of spirits,  to share with your loved ones on Turkey Day! Enjoy!

Paula Deen’s Hot Cranberry Cider

Ingredients:
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
3 cinnamon sticks, plus additional to use as stirrers
1 tablespoon whole cloves
6 cups cranberry juice
8 cups apple juice
Light rum, brandy, or bourbon, optional

Directions:
Put the sugar, cinnamon sticks, and cloves in the basket of a coffee percolator. Put the juices in the bottom of the percolator. Let the mixture perk as if making coffee. Serve with cinnamon stick stirrers. If desired and a little rum, brandy, or bourbon.

Servings: 3 1/2 quarts, 18 servings
