This Is 40 is director Judd Apatow‘s latest comedy masterpiece! He’s given us past blockbusters like Knocked Up, The 40-Year-Old Virgin and Superbad and his newest project will have you in stitches just like his past hits. The movie centers around married couple Deb (Leslie Mann) and Pete (Paul Rudd), and their two children, on the week of their 40th birthdays. The film follows their struggles of getting healthy, spending more quality time with their kids and spicing up their sex life. Though some scenes verge on vulgar (don’t bring your kid brother), you’ll be LOL-ing from your seat throughout the entire movie!

Here are five reasons to see the flick:

1) The script is honest and real.

The cast is hysterical, but the dialogue will have you thinking, I’ve had the same conversation with my family! Between the funny moments, there are almost heartfelt scenes that are honest, real and raw.

2) You don’t have to be 40 to appreciate it. 

You don’t have to be 40, married or have kids to appreciate the flick. It’s relatable for everyone!

3) The kids are scene-stealers!

Debbie and Pete’s children, Charlotte and Sadie, are hysterical! The kids are Judd and Leslie’s real-life children — Maude and Iris Apatow — and they obviously inherited the funny gene!

4) There are a lot of celeb cameos!

Do yourself a favor and don’t check the IMDB page — there are a bunch of unexpected cameos from super funny actors (and musicians!). The surprise will be worth it!

5) The cast has amazing chemistry.

It helps that the two kids are actually Leslie’s own daughters, but her relationship with Paul is believable and effortless.

It wasn’t a good weekend for Jennifer Aniston. Jen’s latest movie, Wanderlust, which has her and her hubby, played by Paul Rudd, moving from New York City to a hippie commune, had a less than stellar debut at the box office, our sister site Deadline.com reports. The flick grossed just $6.6 million — good enough for only eighth place!

Despite heavy marketing, Wanderlust‘s opening weekend haul was far below studio expectations. What’s more, word of mouth has been poor, so don’t expect the raunchy R-rated comedy to rebound next weekend!

At least Jen got one good thing out of Wanderlust — her beau of nearly one year, Justin Theroux! They’ve been absolutely inseparable lately, with Justin stepping out to support his lady love as she received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Feb. 22.

Jennifer Aniston is head-over-heels for Justin Theroux. In a new clip from her new movie Wanderlust, which also stars Paul Rudd, you can totally feel their sexual tension!

The film is about a couple in NYC who heads down south after Paul loses his job. But on the way they stop at a bed and breakfast which is also a hippie commune.

We love how Jen and Justin met on the set and then fell for each other! The film hits theaters Feb. 24!

Now that the 10th anniversary of Wet Hot American Summer is upon us, talk of a sequel to the 2001 cult classic comedy is hotter than ever. But rather than wait for the movie to happen (or not), HollywoodLife.com went straight to Paul Rudd to find out what he thinks his character, the ever-faithful Andy, would be up to today. “We did a thing in Wet Hot where they interviewed us ’10 years from now,’ and … I remember saying my character worked for the city,” he told us Aug. 23 at the NYC premiere of The Weinstein Company’s Our Idiot Brother, hosted by The Cinema Society and Altoids.

“I’d had a mishap where I cut off part of my toe, but it was very cryptic,” Paul continued. “[Andy] probably got some money from that.”

So there you have it. Andy may be missing a piece of his foot, but why would he need to walk correctly when he can spend all his time rolling around in piles of money?

Paul doesn’t leave the slapstick humor on set, he definitely brings it home and it sounds like his kids have a blast!

Picture this: Paul Rudd running around his NYC digs doing silly dances in his underwear. No that’s not his idea of a fun Saturday night it’s what he does to entertain his son Jack, 6, and daughter Darby, 1. The Cinema Society & Altoids hosted a screening of The Weinstein Company’s new film Our Idiot Brother and HollyBaby.com got a chance to find out what Paul does that’s truly hysterical!

“I do a lot of dancing, silly dances,” Paul laughs. “If I can walk around in my underwear and pull it up super high so it’s just gross looking and then try and be very serious with them. I like to do that … pretend to be very mad and have my underwear hiked up … really high.”

Paul and his wife Julie split their time between NYC’s Greenwich Village and a house in upstate New York’s countryside. Check out the film when it hits theaters Aug. 26 — trust us when we say it’ll have you thinking maybe your baby sibling isn’t as absent-minded as you thought!

And HollywoodLife.com‘s snagged the recipe for the cocktail, which had party-goers humming all night long!

Paul Rudd, Rashida Jones, Elizabeth Banks, and Olivia Munn were among the 400 party-goers who attended the blowout bash, held at the Mondrian Hotel’s SkyBar in West Hollywood on Aug. 16.

One of the specialty cocktails served was “Ned’s Juice”, a delicious combination of Purity Vodka, fresh lemon juice, agave nectar and muddled strawberries. Another cocktail, “The Idealist”, was acombination of Purity Vodka, fresh lemon juice and sparkling soda water. And then there’s the “Purity Southside,” ablend of Purity Vodka, fresh lime juice and cucumber infused with mint leaves.

These drinks are delicious!  Check out the recipes below so YOU can try them yourself HollywoodLifers!

Ned’s Juice:

• 2 oz Purity VodkaE

• 1 oz lemon juice

• .5 oz agave nectar

• 4-5 fresh strawberries

• Muddle strawberries with lemon juice and agave , add Purity and ice,
  shake and strain over fresh ice in a rocks glass. Garnish with a strawberry

Purity Southside:

• 2 oz Purity Vodka

• 1 oz lime juice

• .75 simple sugar

• 4-5 mint leaves

• Muddle cucumber (or infuse it in the vodka with the mint) add remaining ingredients and shake. Garnish with cucumber slice skewered with mint

The Idealist:

• 2 oz Purity

• 1 oz fresh lemon juice
• .75 oz simple syrup
• 2 oz soda water
• Add all ingredients except soda water into a shaker with ice and shake until cold. Strain over fresh ice in a Collins glass and top with soda. Garnish with a lemon (twist, wheel, or wedge).

Elizabeth Banks often plays a comedic character, but she looked like an Oscar-worthy star with her beautiful 40′s side-swept hair at the premiere of her latest film, Our Idiot Brother, on August 16 in LA. Don’t you love the look?The actress had her honey blonde strands parted on the side with half of her hair wavy, brushing against her eye and the other half behind her ear. The soft waves add instant glamour and sophistication to an otherwise simple style.

Paul Wesley might be taking a walk in Damon Salvatore’s shoes very soon, as Variety is reporting the Vampire Diaries star been offered the role of the County Paris in the upcoming big-screen version of Romeo and Juliet. I mentioned Damon because, of course, Paris is the one who comes in second to Romeo (Douglas Booth) — at least as far as Juliet (Hailee Steinfeld) is concerned.

As someone who played the oft-forgotten Paris in my own high school production of Romeo and Juliet – my death scene was horrendous, by the way — I’d love to see Paul give the character the spotlight he truly deserves. (Not that Paul Rudd didn’t do a phenomenal job in Baz Luhrmann‘s Romeo + Juliet.)

Besides all that, Gossip Girl‘s Ed Westwick has already been cast as Juliet’s cousin Tybalt, and I’d be super-down for another CW Palooza on the big screen.

It’d be just like The Roommate, only even more Shakespearean!
