While it feels like Katy Perry has spent half the year promoting her movie, Part of Me, since it means we get to see her on the red carpet we definitely don’t mind. The songstress turned up in Tokyo on Sept. 25, where she looked fun and flirty in a strapless dress.

Her silk ombre organza Randi Rahm frock flattered her figure, and her shoes were the perfect addition to the ensemble. Personally, I love this dress on Katy — do you agree?

Katy Perry is such a strong woman. HollywoodLife.com was absolutely blown away with Katy’s honesty in her new 3D documentary Part of Me that hits theaters July 5. We knew that Katy would feature her crumbling relationship with Russell Brand but we didn’t realize that she would be so open with her fans of all ages. This movie will have you falling in love with Katy all over again — read on to find out why. 

Katy is no over night success. She worked her entire life to get to where she is. In the documentary you see clips from Katy’s childhood and you follow her constant rejection in the music industry. But Katy was absolutely determined for her voice to be heard and finally she got the recognition she deserved. This isn’t some sugar coated flick that portrays everything as bubble gum and lollipops.  There were real sweat, tears and all nighters for Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson to become the first artist besides Michael Jackson to have five number one singles from an album.

But I’ll tell you one thing, this gorgeous girl deserved a strong man to stand behind her. In the movie you see Katy performing at concerts all over the world and then on her much needed days off, she’d rush to be by Russell’s side. Why wasn’t he visiting her? She’s the one on an international tour! Katy was exhausted but she made time for her marriage.

This movie shows girls everywhere the cliche saying that money can’t buy happiness. You have to find it within because no one will bring you pure happiness except yourself. It also teaches everyone an important lesson, that sometimes no matter how hard you work at something, it still falls apart. It’s truly dumbfounding to try and figure out what Katy saw in Russell but only she knows.

The movie is done in a tasteful way with just enough to let her loyal fans into a private part of her life. You’ll be singing along to all her hits, in awe of her determination, laughing at her jokes, and crying along with her when she’s sad.

You’ve got to check out the summer’s best movie when it hits theaters July 5.

Katy Perry never ceases to amaze us in her outrageous get-ups, and we never know what to expect next — that was definitely the case Jun. 26 at the Grauman’s Chinese theatre in Hollywood when she rocked out in three completely different looks for her big premiere night!

The 27-year-old first graced the red carpet wearing a lovely Dolce & Gabbana strapless dress with a full skirt and sweetheart neckline. The red velvet frock was accompanied by matching Dolce & Gabbana pumps — and she looked absolutely stunning! She accessorized with Tacori statement jewels and a bedazzling Judith Leiber ‘Cake Slice’ crystal minaudière. She completes this first red carpet look with purple streaked, bouncy curls, sultry eye makeup, and a popping red lip to pull the whole ensemble together.

However, it wasn’t long until Katy swapped this gorgeous dress for a more signature, fun film-themed ensemble. Katy performed in a fun costume which featured a film-reel bra and a red-and-white striped skirt with a popcorn accented hemline. While it was quirky, it was totally Katy!

Just when we thought the pop princess couldn’t surprise us anymore, she goes for her third wardrobe change, coming out in a very similar, quirky getup, completed with high waisted American candy bars themed pants, sticking to the whole cinema snack theme for another signature look.

Her last ensemble included a Spring Summer 2012 black and blue strapless Vivienne Westwood Bellini dress to her after party to end the night. While she had a minor wardrobe malfunction here, it’s still a totally cute mini dress and she looks great in it!

Katy Perry is at the top of her game! The 27-year-old looked stunning at her Part of Me premiere on June 26 and she told HollywoodLife.com the one thing that every girl in the world should know!

“Just because you have boobs doesn’t mean you can’t rule the world!” she laughed. “You actually really rule the world! I mean look at Clopatra, she ruled the men’s world but she essentially ruled the world!”

Katy is right and she’s definitely ruling the the music charts right now! Her new single “Wide Awake” has already secured the number four spot on the Billboard Top 100 chart.

It’s clear she’s come a long way since her divorce from Russell Brand earlier this year. We’re thrilled she’s at the top and kicking butt!

Katy Perry, you are a total badass! Not only did you look fierce when you walked the orange carpet at the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards on April 1 but you gave another jaw-dropping performance. Don’t take offense, but your best performances have been post your Russell Brand breakup — I think I’m on to something.

You might not want to admit that “Part of Me” has anything to do with Russell, and you claim it was written years ago before the breakup. But the song has taken on new meaning and has become an anthem for all the jilted girls all over the world. Not only do the lyrics immediately energize any broken hearted girl, but your live performances of this song are amazing.

When you took the stage at the Kids’ Choice Awards to sing your hit single, you embodied your new powerful persona by wearing armor — tip of the hat for that. Next, the entire scene was a British feast and let’s be real, Russell hails from the UK. Your shield was in the shape of a diamond ring — alluding to your engagement ring perhaps? Lastly, a guy gets a pie in his face at the end — every girl was hoping that was directed at Russell. Plus, who wouldn’t love to smash a pie in any of their exes faces? I know I would!

Whether or not you’ll ever admit that you think about your jerk ex-husband when singing this song, you empower women everywhere and I thank you for that. You have just proved that breaking up can rejuvenate, clarify and give a total makeover to one’s life. It almost makes breaking up seem fun! Granted, I know you’ve had a difficult time with this divorce because no one goes into marriage thinking they’ll get a divorce.

Katy, you might not realize it, but you’ve just shown that you can flip the script in any situation. You’ve taken the negative energy surrounding a breakup and turned it into worldwide success. There’s no doubt that Russell is kicking himself for losing such a super talented and total badass like yourself!

So for all you girls crying over a guy who totally stomped on their heart, follow Katy’s lead!

Katy Perry is totally single! HollywoodLife.com has spoken to a source very close to the singer who tells us that Katy isn’t seeing anyone and she’s just friends with Baptiste Giabiconi, 22, the male model who is dating 77-year-old Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld.

“Katy thinks it’s so funny, no, hilarious that people think she’s dating Baptiste,” a source tells us. “He is gay, gay, gay, they are not dating! She’s known Baptiste for years and they are just friends.”

Katy just took to Twitter on March 29 to tell friends she is “single and satisfied.” We told you that Katy wants to start dating and that she’s going to let her good friend Rihanna set her up.

We told you that rumors have been swirling that Baptiste and Karl are set to marry this summer on Karl’s 10-acre estate in Grand Isle, Vermont.

After watching Katy Perry‘s music video for “Part Of Me,” our first thought was, “Wow, the Marines have gotten really clever with their marketing.” Our second thought was, “Wow, this is totally about Russell Brand.” Both are true. In the just-released video, Katy’s character dumps her lying, cheating boyfriend and joins the Marines to toughen up.

We know Katy has denied that “Part Of Me” is about her break up with Russell, but the music video couldn’t be any more telling. Katy’s character is listening to the radio, and a caller complains about her boyfriend always being away — and wasn’t “distance”a major catalyst for their split?)
