Good news for Matt Lanter fans: While 90210 may be saying farewell this week, Matt won’t be leaving our TV screens (or The CW) anytime soon! His new series Star-Crossed — formerly titled Oxygen — was officially picked up to series May 9, and he recently gave HollywoodLife.com the scoop on what the sci-fi thriller is all about.

“It’s kind of like Brown Vs. The Board of Education, with aliens, mixed with an epic romance,” Matt explained, fully aware of how strange his explanation sounded. “You’re going to have all these human rights issues we dealt with as a society 50-something years ago, but you’re dealing with it between humans and aliens.”

Star-Crossed will take place in the future, where aliens live in their own segregated community, and Matt happens to play one of those aliens. Things get complicated — to say the least — when his character, Roman, falls in love in with human-girl Emery (Aimee Teegarden).

“The pilot is all about a government program to desegregate the two species, and it starts in an American high school,” Matt continued. “On top of all that, you have this forbidden romance [between Roman and Emery.] It’s kind of like a Romeo & Juliet story. It’s the star-crossed lovers that can’t be, and shouldn’t be, but have to be.”

Along with Star-Crossed, The CW also picked up dramas The 100, The Tomorrow People and Reign.

Every CWoud has a silver lining, and this one’s shining on Matt Lanter! Less than a week after The CW announced that 90210 will end its five-season run May 13, HollywoodLife.com‘s sister site Deadline is reporting that Matt has been cast on The CW pilot Oxygen.

Matt will play Roman, one of nine aliens secretly integrated into a suburban high school. (That’s right, they’re making him play a teenager again.) Friday Night Lights‘ Aimee Teegarden will play Emery, a human teenager who falls in love with Roman — as if you didn’t see that coming.

90210 fans should appreciate the irony of Matt playing an alien on Oxygen, as Liam played an alien hunter in the hilariously bad Corporate Invaders franchise. 90210 fans should also enjoy that Aimee appeared on the show’s first season as Rhonda, a nut job who feuded with Annie (Shenae Grimes) over Ethan (Dustin Milligan).

My Take On ‘Oxygen’

I’ll admit, I didn’t take too much notice of this potential series until I learned that Matt — who I hope and pray will return to his former longer/side-swept-haired glory — had been cast as the lead. But now that I’m giving it a thorough once-over, I’m actually pretty pumped.

The CW seems to be all about pairing human girls with supernatural brooders these days — see The Vampire Diaries and Beauty & The Beast — but it’s clearly a winning formula, as both series have solid followings.

Coolio is best known for his songs “Fantastic Voyage” and “Gangsta’s Paradise.” He was also seen in 2009 on the UK’s Celebrity Big Brother and Vh1‘s The Surreal Life. Aside from his Hollywood career, Coolio did a lot of charity work. Him and jazz saxophonist Jarez were spokespersons in 2008 for the Environmental Justice and Climate Change group, helping educate historically black schools about global warming. Currently, he is a spokesperson for the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America.

During his time on Celebrity Big Brother Coolio discussed the six kids he had in four different relationships.

“The thing I think people can learn from the show is there are alternatives to parenting,” he once said of Oxygen series Coolio’s Rules, ”I mean, I’m not the best parent in the world. I strive to be a better parent.”

You know Tanisha from ‘Bad Girls Club’ and now here are some facts you might not have known about this reality TV personality.

Tanisha Thomas wasn’t surprised when they asked her to host the second season of Oxygen’s show Love Games: Bad Girls Need Love Too, a dating competition series. The 25-year-old “Bad Girl” made a guest appearance before landing the gig – “It was amazing and they loved it,” she says. She’s bold and working hard to make the show fun to watch — and let’s just say it’s as crazy as Bad Girls Club! HollywoodLife.com talked to Tanisha to find out a few details about her that every fan should know.

1. She’d love to act: and even went to acting school when she was younger. Get this – she never thought she would be a good TV host because she wasn’t sure if her temperament would be a good match: “It’s hard for my personality to not get involved in the drama.” But she said it’s been amazing.
2. When it comes to weddings: she describes herself as a bit of a bridezilla: “I’m definitely one of those platinum brides. Impeccable attention to detail, a luxury type feel. I’d love David Tutera to plan every aspect of it – it will be a very expensive wedding.”
3. She’s taken: “I already found love. I’m engaged right now, and we are working on stuff for the wedding.”
4. She’s afraid of the dark: “I hate the dark. I just don’t like it. I really hate it.”
5. She’s a jack-of-all-trades: “I cook, sing, dance. A lot of people don’t know I’m a big gambler, and I’m actually good. The thing is I need to learn how to walk away.”
6. She’s a stranger to animals: “I had never touched an animal in my life until four or five months ago – One of the “Bad Girls” dogs. Blondie had this dog. I fell in love with Yuki.”

The new season of starts tonight and we spoke EXCLUSIVELY to Bad Girls Kristen and Brandi, who say this season is going to be “a whole bunch of craziness!”

Get ready for a wild ride, HollywoodLifers! Season five of the Bad Girls Club premieres tonight, August 2! We sat down with two of the newest girls – Kristen, 24, and Brandi, 26 — who tell us the new season is full of fights, hookups, and total chaos!

“I blacked out for the first time on national television and to this day I don’t know what I did,” Brandi tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively. “I’m going to be interested to see what I do! I broke a lot of stuff.”

And if you think breaking things in a drunken stupor seems crazy, Kristen admits she spends most of the show NAKED!

“I think my mother is going to learn that I’m a lot more daring then she would want me to be,” Kristen tells us. “I’m nude a lot and I swear a lot. I don’t think she realized the extent of my partying. It’s probably going to make her worry a lot more.”

Uh oh! Note to Kristen’s mom: you may want to DVR the show and fast forward through the naked parts!

Tori says he’s in tons of pain, but expected to make a full recovery!

Oh no! 43 year-old Dean McDermott, husband to Tori Spelling, 37, was rushed to the hospital June 29 with a punctured and collapsed lung after he crashed his dirt bike while out riding with his friends. “He’s in a lot of pain,” Tori tells People, but he’s expected to make a full recovery!

“His friend called me and said he was in the ER,” Tori recalls of how she first found out about the accident. “He didn’t want to scare me so he just said he had a crash and that they were X-raying him.”

“At first I was mad,” she says. “I was pissed that he was out biking and crashed. But when I showed up and saw him lying there, and they told me they were admitting him to ICU with a collapsed lung, my heart dropped. My biggest fear had come true.”

And this isn’t the first time this year Dean has gotten in an motorcycle accident (his first accident resulted in a fractured shoulder bone), so “he’s taking this as a sign and realizing family is too important to risk his life,” Tori adds.

After the first accident, Dean promised to give up racing his bikes professionally and that it would remain only a hobby. But now, he swears to give up riding completely.

“When I first saw him he just softly said ‘I’m so sorry,’” Tori says. “I just held his hand and cried. That’s when he said, ‘I’ll never do this again. You and the kids mean everything to me!’”

Tori and Dean, stars of the Oxygen reality show Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood, are also parents to two small children: Liam, 3, and Stella, 2.

In case you haven’t had your fill of Jersey based reality TV shows we’ve got one more coming our way! Move over Jersey Shore and RHONJ because these girls say they’re all “glitz and glam!”

Set your DVR’s ladies because you’re not going to want to miss this! I got a chance to speak to the incredibly entertaining women of Oxygen’s upcoming reality show Jersey Couture and they want you to know they are breaking down the loud-mouth, fist pumping, Jersey Shore streotype!

“For us we just happen to live in New Jersey,” says Diane Scali, matriarch and founder of Diane & Co., “We don’t scream and curse … the drama you see is more mommy saying why isn’t this girls’ dress here or yelling at a seamstress.”

The show follows the Scali family — mom, Diane, dad, Sal, daughters, Kimberly, 29, and Christina, 27, and little brother Anthony, 24, as they run Diane & Co., a dress shop in Freehold, NJ.  I have to tell you after watching a screener of the premiere episode I had no idea dress shopping could get so intense! I definitely remember looking for prom dresses, and formal wear when I was in high school and college but I don’t remember ripping a dress out of a customers hand!

“We deal with everything,” says Kimberly. “We’ve have customers who have found a dress arguing with other customers and mothers outbidding each other for a prom dress.”

Even though these women have a New Jersey zipcode they don’t indentify with Bravo’s The Real Housewives of NJ or MTV’s Jersey Shore. “Everyone is streotyping the show,” says Christina. “We’re from New York we just live here in NJ … this is where our family settled down to give us a great life. We met the ladies of the Jersey housewives and they are very sweet but everyone has their own way.”

So why watch this show besides my own recommendation? These girls say you’re going to see how the rich and famous find the perfect dress for that special occasion. ” We’ve got glitz and glamour … people say there’s no glitz and glamour in NJ but we dress CEO’s, atheletes …  customers will come in and buy a $5,000 dress in 30 seconds.”

Notorious Bad Girl Natalie Nunn has an emotional breakdown at a bar in tonights Feb.2 episode of the Bad Girls Club. When Natalie is told by a bartender to pay her tab of $28.00 she becomes livid! Natalie claims that one of the drinks on the tab isn’t hers and that some random guy ordered it on her tab — sureeee. Instead, Natalie walks out of the venue and throws a bottle or a glass … can’t exactly tell — at a girl! She didn’t even know her!
