At a scale-busting 600 pounds, Donna Simpson holds the Guinness World Record for ‘World’s Heaviest Mother’ and makes an impressive living from her supersized physique — but she’s about to give it all up.

World’s Heaviest Mom Donna Simpson is ditching her artery-clogging 15,000 calorie-a-day diet after splitting with her long-time fiancé who helped her balloon in size — because she can’t look after her kids Jacqueline and Devin alone.Donna made the announcement on her website, where she earned $90,000 a year charging fans to watch her stuff her face with food.

“I ask that you take your last look at the old Donna,” her statement reads, adding, “I recently split with my fiancé of five years and moved with my two children back to my home town in Ohio.”

“It’s fine to gain weight when you have a partner who will help feed you and take care of everything around you.”

“Now that I have sole responsibility of taking care of my children, I must drastically change my lifesyle.”

“I realize this statement will be met with mixed emotions. The people that admired me as a ‘super-sized big beautiful web model’ probably will be disappointed in this decision.”

No one should be disappointed by her decision to get healthy! It’s great that Donna’s decided to lose the lard, just a shame she didn’t do it before fiancé Philippe Gouamba – who she met on a dating website — walked out on her, forcing her to discover how little she could do for herself.

She has set a target weight of 370 pounds and has already shed 60. Keep up the good work, Donna!

Expectant moms have been told for generations they need to ‘eat for two’ — but experts insist it’s a myth that’s saddling women with extra pounds they may never shake off.

The truth is women need NO extra calories in the first two trimesters of their pregnancy and in the final weeks an extra cereal bar a day is enough to nourish their unborn babies.

Experts in the UK have found the myth about ‘eating for two’ is so widespread pregnant women are getting fatter than ever — putting their well-being and the health of their babies at risk.

Women who weigh a healthy amount only need to gain 25 to 35 pounds throughout the entire nine month pregnancy. Underweight women need to gain a little more, and overweight moms-to-be a little less.

Carrying extra weight while you’re carrying a baby increases the risk of diabetes, and other pregnancy conditions like pre-eclampsia.

And there are more lasting effects — women who gain too much pregnancy weight are three-times more likely to be obese 16 years later!

The findings are the result of a study carried out at Bristol University of more than 3,000 women in the west of England.

Doctors claim fat moms-to-be are making their unborn babies overweight and unhealthy.

In a new medical trial, pregnant women who are particularly obese will be given a weight loss drug to slim down their babies-to-be. Whoa. Is this too drastic?

“It’s about trying to improve outcomes in pregnancy for women who are overweight,’ explains Dr. Andrew Weeks, who’s leading the trial.

The program is being rolled out in hospitals across the UK, and will involve 400 women over the next three years.

The moms-to-be will be given diabetes drug Metformin to reduce the levels of blood sugar passed onto their babies in the womb.

Dr. Weeks hopes the trial will cut down pregnancy complications, such as pre-eclampsia, which are common with obese women and overweight babies.

Does this seem too extreme HollyMoms? It’s certainly upset some weight loss groups.

Alison Wetton, CEO of All About Weight, says, “The fact that the widely-used diabetes pill, Metformin, is being trialed to prevent obese babies being born to overweight mothers is disturbing to me, and I am sure most other women as well.”

So sad. At 130 pounds, 3-year-old Lu Hao, from China, weighs five times more than normal kids his age. The problem is, his distraught parents have tried to stop their toddler from gorging on third and fourth helpings of food, but they are completely afraid of him! WHAT!? They say he throws terrible tantrums if he doesn’t get his way.

“We have to let him be, as if we don’t feed him he will cry nonstop,” his mom Chen Huan from Dashan, Guangdong Province, tells UK’s The Sun. They have tried to cut down his meals in the past, but Lu has gained a whopping 22 pounds this year alone.

Ironically, Lu was born underweight at 5.7 lbs, but started packing on the pounds once he reached 3-months-old. Lu’s dad, Lu Yuncheng, struggles to pick his toddler son up, adding, “His appetite is so good that for a meal he can eat three big bowls of rice, even larger than I and his mother.”

Lu is no longer attending nursery school, in fear that he might harm the other children, so he usually is isolated at home. And although he plays and swims, he loses his breath and gets tired very easily.

“He can expect joint damage, high blood pressure, heart trouble and diabetes, if he hasn’t developed these complications already,” The Sun‘s Dr. Carol Cooper explains. “A few youngsters with eating problems have a hormone disorder, but in this case it seems that Lu Hao’s family have simply fed him much more than he needs.”

This is just sad. He’s too young to face these kind of weight struggles.
