We are fascinated with the Olympians now that the games are official over, especially the women’s gymnastics team and member McKayla Maroney!

From a telephone booth to the airport, McKayla shared her Olympic journey with her followers on Twitter in August.

It was a battle of the bands — and the sexes — Aug. 12 during the closing ceremonies of the 2012 Olympics games.

Pop royalty past and present collided during the closing ceremonies of the 2012 London Olympics, but if you ask me — and Twitter — it was The Spice Girls and One Direction who clearly led the pack.

The HollywoodLife.com staff fangirl’d all over the Spice Girls’ long-awaited reunion — they looked even more amazing than when they came together back in 2008 — but we also sang along to 1D’s infectious “What Makes You Beautiful.” (We’re waiting for that song to get old, and enjoying it until it does.)

The ’90s pop sensation gave fans what they really, really wanted and performed at the 2012 Olympic Games Closing Ceremony last night looking fabulous! Get all the outfit details right here.

Posh, Sporty, Baby, Scary and Ginger a.k.a the Spice Girls, (but I’m sure you already knew that), finally reunited on Aug. 12 for the Closing Ceremonies of the Olympics. However, it wasn’t only their performance of fan favorites like “Wannabe” and “Spice Up Your Life” that impressed everyone — it was their outfits, too! These gorgeous gals have seriously not aged at all, and they put their fantastic figures on full display.

In true Spice Girl form, the British quintet rocked skin-tight ensembles and we wouldn’t want it any other way. Victoria Beckham looked posh in her staple black dress. The strapless frock by Giles Deacon had Victoria looking absolutely stunning. When she’s opting for something more outrageous, she usually likes to wear the designer, and it was a fantastic choice.

Mel C., or Sporty Spice, opted for a white jumpsuit that flared out at the bottom in a very ’90s-esque style, while the other Melanie, Mel. B (Scary Spice), went with a fierce gold-embellished Zuhair Murad bodysuit.

Emma Bunton ditched her infamous Baby Spice pig-tails but still channeled her very girly image in a hot pink mini dress. Unfortunately Geri Halliwell did not shake it to her left in our favorite Union Jack dress that was such a staple for Ginger, but she still looked great in her flirty red frock that was detailed with British flag ruffles.

We love that each diva stayed true to their Spice persona with their costumes — they certainly spiced up our lives!

The Spice Girls brought us back to the ’90s with an unforgettable performance for the 2012 London Olympics on Aug. 12.

The british quintet group sang their hearts out to their 90s hit songs, ‘Wannabe’ & ‘Spice Up Your Life’ while rocking out, on top five matching, London taxi cabs.
